Daniel Radcliffe’s tendency to prank his fellow Harry Potter cast-mates often added levity to the set, but there was at least one time when his antics went a little too far.

Reportedly, Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid in the films, was once a victim of a prank where the young actor changed the settings on his friend’s phone from English to Turkish. The joke seems harmless enough—except that Coltrane was left unable to make calls!

The infuriated actor had a hard time finding anyone on set who could change the settings of his phone back to English, and Radcliffe was left feeling understandably sheepish about what he had done. Coltrane remembers the event clearly:

Eventually we found a girl in the Harry Potter make-up department who was Turkish Cypriot. She phoned her mum and was chatting away in great detail until they sorted it out. I think Daniel was so upset at what had happened that he wrote me that note...'Dear Mr. Coltrane, I'm sorry I changed your mobile telephone into Turkish...

Two months ago, Hogwarts After Dark made its debut as the controversial adult webchat aired LIVE in the myHogwarts auditorium with several hundred audience members. The discussions ranged from House-elves enslavement to Aberforth's obsession with goats and was filled with humor and even included several audience members providing their opinions.

It was so successful that we are doing it again!

Join the Hogwarts After Dark team, which includes myHogwarts founder Keith Cardin, Hogwarts Radio host Terrance Pinkston Jr., myHogwarts staff member Meka Jamesa Larimer, and MuggleNet's own Keith Hawk, host of the MuggleNet Academia podcast. The show will begin broadcasting at 11:59pm Friday evening, November 9th, in the myHogwarts auditorium.

You MUST be 17 years old or older to access this program as it will include adult language and themes. NO UNDERAGE WIZARDS ALLOWED!

While we already have several great topics to discuss on the show, we would love to hear your suggestions for talking points or controversial matters you feel deserve further discussion from the Harry Potter series. You can send your suggestions to us via e-owl at HogwartsAfterDark@gmail.com or tweet suggestions using the #HogwartsAfterDark hashtag.

This is a LIVE show you will not want to miss out on!

Many have been awaiting the interactive "Courses" component of the myHogwarts fansite, and we were just informed that it's soon to arrive. The site has recently launched a platform for professors to begin importing their own courses for the site, as well as a compiled list of all the upcoming courses the site has to offer.

Fans are encouraged to start their own in- or out-of-character courses on the site. Some of the listed upcoming courses include "A History and Biography of Lord Voldemort", "Care of Magical Creatures - A Beginner's Course", "Fanfiction 101", "Introduction to the Psychology of Harry Potter" and "So You Want to NaNoWriMo".

We were informed that the courses will be available to take in just a few weeks!

Are you planning on teaching or attending a course at myHogwarts? Let us know how you'll be involved!

Tonight at midnight EST, a LIVE webchat called Hogwarts After Dark will take place in the myHogwarts Audiotorium. This will be the most controversial podcast you will ever hear on Harry Potter, as we will be discussing sensitive themes from the books, films and fandom.

The hosts for the show will include Keith Cardin (myHogwarts creator), Terrance Pinkston Jr. (Hogwarts Radio), Meka Jamesa Larimer (myHogwarts), and MuggleNet's own Keith Hawk.

The live panel is set to last up to 90 minutes and is, we say again, directed to an older audience. Because of the discussion material, we'll be allowing access to the Auditorium to those only 17 or older for the duration of the event. We will be taking calls and participating in live chatting during the panel to encourage audience participation.

We'll cover many controversial topics during the podcast such as the process of creating a horcrux, slash fanfic and it's impact on the fandom, the Severus Snape Hero Debate and the famous Dumbledore/Grindelwald relationship and what its impact had on Dumbledore's decision making and the wizarding world as a whole.

We'd love to hear your suggestions for talking points or controversial matters you feel deserve further discussion. Please send us an email at HogwartsAfterDark@gmail.com with your topic suggestions and you may just hear them on the show! You can also tweet suggestions using the #HogwartsAfterDark hashtag.

You must be logged into myHogwarts to listen, so if you are not yet a member, you can sign up right here. You will not want to miss this show!

During the Ascendio 2012 presentation of myHogwarts, Keith Cardin officially launched the site that was created for the fans and by the fans. And MuggleNet was honored to with the exclusive announcement.

The site will allow fans from around the world to connect with one another, both online and in real life, creating a place physically and virtually where you can discuss and debate the series, as well as be introduced to many things you may not have known before, such as the real-life sport of Quidditch, fan fiction, fan films, wizard rock, annual conferences, the Harry Potter Alliance, and many other elements of the fandom.

The site will have fandom-specific features, such as a fan-powered Library, wizarding radio station, the ability to find local fans in your town, and allow you to dive into hundreds of discussions about every aspect of the series. Finding friends on the site is easy, too. Once you join, you’re automatically placed into a “dorm room” with 9 other fans from your House.

Sections of the site will be added over the coming weeks, but you can still enjoy the richness of the creative spirit from the Harry Potter fandom right now.

Congratulations to Keith Cardin and the entire staff of myHogwarts for all the hard work that has already been put into this amazing experience.
