JK Rowling's official website has been updated wishing Remus Lupin a happy birthday for the 10th of March.
"It is fortunate that nobody was filming my reaction while the bids climbed higher and higher. Fiddy, Angela, Christine and I were sitting around Fiddy's laptop in our office (the aforementioned being my PA and the invaluable assistants who deal with the postbag), watching a live link to Sotheby's. Once the amount hit a million, I kept swearing loudly with every successive bid, and when we reached the final amount, the air turned a lovely shade of blue..."
The first entry concerned the recent lawsuit against an Indian community for building a replica of Hogwarts castle. Rowling noted that she herself did not bring the lawsuit and that her name always gets attached to such things for legal reasons. Jo also attempted to clear up the situation, saying:
"The defendants were not religious charities, and theirs was not a religious celebration. On the contrary, it was a large-scale, commercial, sponsored event involving corporations that included a major Indian high street bank. The event was, however, set up while a Hindu festival was going on."
Jo in her second entry poked fun at a recent tabloid article which stated she does pilates, yoga, jogs, has botox injections and has cut out saturated fats, by joking she clearly has been "Rowling back the years."
Another update was made to JK Rowling's official website today, in which it was announced in the news section that not only has Jo written 'The Tales of Beedle the Bard', the book of fairytales mentioned in Deathly Hallows, but also that the seventh of these rare, handwritten items will be auctioned for charity, The Children's Voice, with a starting price of £30,000.The book includes the previously heard, "The Tale of the Three Brothers", as well as new stories, "The Fountain of Fair Fortune", "The Wizard and the Hopping Pot,", "Babbitty Rabbitty and her Cackling Stump" and "The Warlock’s Hairy Heart".
The auction will take place at Sotheby's on December 13th 2007.
Thanks to everyone who sent this in!
UPDATE: BBC News now has an article and video online about this story.

Albus Dumbledore
1881 - 1996
Brilliant and often controversial headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Albus Dumbledore is most famous for his 1945 defeat of Grindelwald and his steadfast championing of Harry Potter, the Boy Who Lived. Dumbledore's self-proclaimed proudest achievement, however, was featuring on a Famous Wizards Chocolate Frog Card.
Rowena Ravenclaw
Medieval (precise dates unknown).
One of the four famous Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Rowena Ravenclaw was the most brilliant witch of her time, though legend has it that a broken heart - cause unknown - contributed to her early demise.
Within hours you will know what happens to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the rest in their final adventure. All the secrets I have been carrying around for so long will be yours, too, and those who guessed correctly will be vindicated, and those who guessed wrongly will not, I hope, be too disappointed! As for me, I feel a heady mixture of excitement, nerves and relief. 'Deathly Hallows' remains my favourite of the series, even after several re-reads; I cannot wait to share it with the readers who have stuck with me through six previous books.
After reading Jo's list of acknowledgments, we would like to extend a huge "thank you" back to her on behalf of the visitors and staff of MuggleNet. THANK YOU, JO!
JK Rowling has made a small update to her official website asking everyone who "calls themselves a Potter fan" to help keep the plot of Deathly Hallows from being spoiled:We are almost there! As launch night looms, let's all, please, ignore the misinformation popping up on the web and in the press on the plot of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I'd like to ask everyone who calls themselves a Potter fan to help preserve the secrecy of the plot for all those who are looking forward to reading the book at the same time on publication day. In a very short time you will know EVERYTHING!
We, of course, support Jo's statement and ask all of our visitors to avoid spreading information about Deathly Hallows in our comments. With the book release being less than three days away, there's no point in spoiling it now.
Instead, talk about the latest episode of SpongeBob or perhaps the upcoming Hairspray film. If you need any other topic ideas, please e-mail i need something better to do than spoil the book for everyone three days prior to the release@staff.mugglenet.com.
Godric Gryffindor
Medieval (precise dates unknown)
One of the four famous Founders of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Godric Gryffindor was the most accomplished dueller of his time, an enlightened fighter against Muggle-discrimination and the first owner of the celebrated Sorting Hat.
Continuing her support for the campaign to find Madeleine McCann, JK Rowling has added an appropriate page in the Links section of her official site. An extract from the page:"Jerry and Kate McCann released this last photograph of their daughter before her abduction in the Algarve three weeks ago. The picture is of Madeleine sitting by the swimming pool on the day she was snatched from her bed. Kate took the photo of Madeleine at 2.29pm on May 3 - Mrs McCann's camera clock is one hour out so the display reads 1.29pm. Less than eight hours later, before 10pm that night, Madeleine disappeared. Mr and Mrs McCann, backed by an army of friends and family, remain convinced that four year old Madeleine is alive and are praying, along with people around the world, for her safe return."We ask that you are respectful in the comments, whether or not you agree with this cause.
