Yahoo! News is reporting that actress Emma Watson has achieved eight A*s and two As on her GCSEs. Congrats, Emma!
For those of us in America who are clueless as to what the GCSEs are, the General Certificate of Secondary Education is a set of British qualifications (sometimes focused around Math, English, and Science) taken by secondary school students.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson recently did an interview with The Telegraph speaking about the end of the movie and book franchise, as well as some other topics. Dan discusses whether or not he's had a normal childhood, saying:
"I don't feel I've missed out on anything. Perhaps I've grown up slightly faster than some other people my age simply because from the age of 11 I've been surrounded by more adults than kids. I've had a working relationship with adults and that does change how you develop and mature. You possibly do grow up slightly faster.
"The other day, somebody said the last Harry Potter film will probably be released in 2010. I don't know how true that is, but if it's the case then that will have been 10 years of my life and that's a huge chunk, so I'll be sad because it will be the end of an era in a way. But I equally imagine it will be quite exciting to be out of that world."
Also, This Is London reports Dan will gross $50 million for the next two films together.
Don't forget the trio will be on Richard & Judy today. We'll have a video online shortly afterwards. EDIT: Looks like it didn't air. We'll update you with more soon.

Evanna Lynch (Luna Lovegood) has done a new interview with the NY Post where she discusses landing the coveted role, some of her theories on the books, and more. As a fan, are you a shipper? Who do you like?
I ship all the normal ones - Ginny/Harry, Ron/Hermione, blah blah blah. But I do have a strange one, which is Luna/Dumbledore. I think they would be quite perfect. They're both so detached, so otherworldly and so comfortable with themselves and they have this uncommon fearlessness of death. They also both have quirky hobbies and deep minds and I can see them getting along a storm. I don't see this ship sailing, of course. It's just one which I think could have had potential, aided along by a time-turner. Also, Emma Watson did an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald where she talks about kissing Ron in the sixth film: "Kissing Rupert's going to be sooo awkward," Watson says, screwing up her cute rosy-cheeked face. "I'm trying not to think about it...it's all part of the job I guess. Don't tell him I said that. Rupert's lovely. Girls would probably give their left arm to be in my position, so I'm certainly not complaining."

The author of the Harry Potter novels and the actress that brings Hermione to life on the movie screen have been selected as two of 100 women Premiere has chosen because of their impact on the film industry in 2007. WORD WIZARD
J.K. Rowling
The author behind the second highest-grossing film franchise in history (after James Bond) cast a powerful spell with the release of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which broke Spider-Man 2's record for the best Wednesday opening in history. One week later, the final book in the series was released to riotous crowds who bought 8.3 million copies on the first day in the U.S. alone — and Warner Brothers acknowledged that movie ticket sales for Phoenix actually fell because fans were too busy reading. What a novel idea!
HOGWARTS HOTTIE
Emma Watson
Whether or not the young actress can and will play anyone besides the Harry Potter film franchise's Hermione is irrelevant until 2010, when the series will reach its grand finale. Until then, she'll amass more and more fans while putting away $4 million per film into her college fund.

Two new articles have been released that focus on the final two films in the Harry Potter series. The first article from the Winnipeg Sun is a look at actors Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, and how they have grown up without much incident through the first six films. Producer David Heyman, director David Yates and actress Imelda Staunton all praised the trio in the interview, and Heyman credited Chris Columbus with doing an extraordinary job with initially casting them. Radcliffe also addressed just how committed he is to these films:
"So, to me, it's just about letting people know that I'm incredibly serious and passionate about this -- this series of films -- and how much they mean to me. If you've been involved in something for more than seven years now, you want to be able to talk about it articulately and explain why you love it, explain why you loved being involved in it so much."
The second article from the Edmonton Sun addresses the mood of Half-Blood Prince, and how different it will be from Deathly Hallows. Producer David Heyman said that humor in the sixth film will be "slightly warmer," but Radcliffe noted he can't wait to get to the more darker tone of the seventh and final film.

Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint were all named some of the top earning "20 under 25" stars according to Forbes magazine. Dan took the top honors for the male actors, landing the countdown at number six, racking in $15 million. Emma came in 15th with $4 million along with co-star Rupert, closely following at number 16. The top-earning actor on the list, Harry Potter alter-ego Daniel Radcliffe, 18, earned $15 million. That's more than performers twice his age, like Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock, who earned $14 million and $10 million, respectively, made over the same period. The Potter franchise catapulted Radcliffe's co-stars Emma Watson and Rupert Grint to the list with $4 million apiece. This summer's fifth installment, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, was the second highest-grossing film of the year (edged out by Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End), raking in $938 million worldwide. The trio are already filming the follow-up, Half-Blood Prince. E! Entertainment will have a one-hour special on this countdown on Saturday, December 22nd, at 6 PM EST.

The Telegraph has published a new interview with actress Emma Watson - her first, and arguably one of the most detailed, outside of the Harry Potter franchise. Her latest venture, Ballet Shoes - due to air in the UK on BBC 1 on December 26th - is discussed, as well as her ambition to be a successful actress. Emma comments that:
"I was so nervous I nearly turned [Ballet Shoes] down. I'd just finished the last Harry Potter film, and it was the summer holidays and I hadn't had a break, but then I thought, 'I actually really want to be an actress, a proper actress who makes it her career'".
Sensibly, she also has a backup plan to continue with her studies, and has applied to read English and philosophy at prestigious Cambridge University. "I feel it’s terribly important to continue with my education, in case acting doesn’t work out for me", she says.

The Hermione Granger actress has updated her official site, wishing fans a Happy Valentine's and addressing some false UK tabloid reports recently concerning her.
"This week is Fashion Week and although I have been filming during the day I managed to make it to the Burberry and Vanity Fair party at the National Portrait gallery. The photographs were so beautiful and I was chuffed with the book of all them that they gave me.
I met Christopher Bailey (the designer which was really exciting, I also met Johnny Borrell (who is modeling for Burberry at the moment) and went on to PPQ in the same cab. I'd never met him before so that was great as I'm a big Razorlight fan.
But goodness, I am really going to have to watch who I stand next to from now on! Maybe I should stand next to Orlando Bloom and then we can be said to be 'dating'!"

The film, titled Napoleon and Betsy, is scheduled for release some time in 2009.

The Hermione Granger actress recently spoke with MTV about her upcoming work for Deathly Hallows and her favorite scene:
The relationship between Ron and Hermione is obviously something near and dear to Watson – the “Deathly Hallows” scene she is most eager to film is a volatile moment between the couple.
“The scene that really touched me is Ron’s betrayal of Hermione, him leaving her. There’s that wonderful scene where he comes back and Hermione just launches herself at him and starts hitting him and is uncontrollably angry at him and disappointed in him for abandoning her. I’m looking forward to that because it felt very real when I read it.”

In an insightful new interview, Emma Watson discusses how turning 18 was "tough;" how she finds being sexy embarrassing; and the prospect of a new film for her shortly. The actress also talked about the difficulty in overcoming the Hermione typecast:
"I have no plans to do anything for the sake of it, or to shock people. I might be willing to take my clothes off for a Bernardo Bertolucci film, if it was a part that really made sense as part of my character. But I wouldn’t do it just to make a point, to move on from Hermione. I’d hate to be so tactical. I’m not just getting my kit off for anyone."
The article also notes that Emma is still unsure whether she will attend a British or American university.

The actress who plays Hermione Granger recently spoke with Interview Magazine. In it, she briefly touched upon her filming schedule for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:
BLASBERG: Not only that, it’s probably tiring being Hermione. I was on the set with you, and those are long, long days. What time are you there every morning?
WATSON: At the moment, we’re there at about 6:30 a.m., which means I’m picked up at about 5:45 a.m. We’re filming both the seventh and eighth movies at once, and I’m trying to do all of my scenes now and through the summer so I’ll be available for university come September—though it already looks like I’ll be working on Christmas and March breaks.
BLASBERG: In these next two films, are most of your scenes with Dan and Rupert?
WATSON: Yes. In the last book, they’ve left Hogwarts, and they’re traveling around together. It feels right that it started with the three of us and it’s ending with the three of us. It’s about our friendship.

MTV has posted four video interviews with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson where the actors talk about the Half-Blood Prince movie.
MTV also talked to producer David Heyman who said that "the most difficult choice was to edit out some of the flashbacks in the memories that Harry explores. Each film has to exist on its own terms, and alas, within these memories, they're really significant and actually in the whole body of the series play a very significant part, but within the film they are detours in a way, going into a story about Voldemort, who doesn't really appear in this film."

Just got back from the nicest week in Wales. Pembrokeshire is so beautiful. It was such a nice change from the studio and the weather was AMAZING. I think I actually got sun tanned! Doing night shoots this week, tried to stay up late this weekend to get used to it. I realised that in 2 weeks time I will be half way through filming my part in Deathly Hallows.

UPDATE: Perez Hilton has a couple more photos of Emma's modeling work right here!
This is London is reporting this morning that the actress who plays Hermione has kicked off her first major advertisement campaign with clothing company Burberry:
“Having known and admired the lovely Emma Watson for quite some time, she was the obvious choice for this campaign,” said Burberry's creative director, Christopher Bailey.
“I wanted the images to represent the rich history and modernity of Burberry while reflecting a quiet beauty, timelessness and strength that is particularly significant today.
Emma has a classic beauty, a great character and a modern edge. Her charm, intellect and brilliant sense of fun made the whole shoot feel like a picnic on the Thames.”
He added: “I felt Emma would be strong enough to hold the campaign as the only girl, and I loved the idea of her being surrounded by these young, cool British guys.”

Here's a great new interview from Times magazine with the actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Potter films. Emma talks about what a typical day on the set is like, and her feelings about the franchise after being involved for so long:
On the Potter set, "it takes an hour to get ready every day. They call us at 7.30am." Watson leans forward across the trailer's Formica table to show me the extensions plaited into her backcombed light brown hair to give it Hermione Granger's messy curls. Plus there are fake scars – "They must have rubbed off - I just took a nap" - and plenty of slap to make her lightly freckled skin matt and witchy. The heavy eyebrows are for real, though.
Watson is still thankful she was not forced to wear the buck teeth allotted to Hermione in the books. When she put them in, she couldn’t talk, and the director dumped them, along with Radcliffe's green contact lenses, both too hard on the young stars. Watson still found her role a burden as well as a pleasure. "When I was little, I didn’t understand that other kids thought I actually was Hermione, really geeky. It was devastating. I thought no one would ever fancy me. And the costumes..."

For a long time now, rumors have been swirling concerning where actress Emma Watson will attend school in the United States. She has finally confirmed which school in a new interview with Paste Magazine:
Paste: You are off to University in the autumn.
Watson: I am—to Brown, which is an Ivy League establishment in the U.S.A. I’ve got a place there to read literature.
Paste: Was that a deliberate career choice?
Watson: Oh yes, very definitely. I hope to do quite well with my A Levels [she’s being modest—she achieved straight A’s in her chosen subjects, English literature, geography and art, as well as seven A’s and three A* at GCSE level] and they’ve provisionally accepted me, so I’m off to study.

As many tabloid sites have reported, Emma Watson arrived at Brown University a few days ago to begin orientation for her freshman year.
We didn't want to post the news because it was an invasion of privacy, but today Emma updated her official website to clear up the rumors and confirm she is indeed attending Brown:
"I know, according to the papers I was definitely attending both Columbia and Yale but I've finally arrived at Brown University and while I wish that I could be in three places at once I wouldn't believe everything you read! I arrived [last] Tuesday and I'm having the most amazing time. I'm still so excited to be here. I've already met so many incredible people. I'm over my jet lag and now I just want classes to start!!"

Initially only reported on tabloid sites and now making the rounds on more authoritative sites, we've learned that Potter actress Emma Watson is the decade's most profitable actress. From CNN:
Over the course of the decade, films that Watson was involved in made $5.4 billion worldwide and these boasted the highest average box office earnings, making roughly $900 million per film.
More notable actresses like Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet were beaten in the list conducted by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Ali Jaafar, International Editor at Variety Magazine said it was notable that Watson was a big grosser, but it would be interesting to see how her career progressed.
"She's untested apart from the Harry Potter franchise, but these are young actors and it'll be interesting to see how they develop their careers," Jaafar told CNN.

On Rupert and Emma: "The young actors each took home $30 million for the two-part franchise finale Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
On Dan: "The Potter star made $40 million for Hallows. Has there been a more radically life-changing casting of an unknown? Maybe Al Pacino in The Godfather? Help me understand."

The Daily Mail and Express newspapers have both published new interviews with actress Emma Watson over the past 24 hours.
In the former interview, Emma discusses her plans for fashion design in the future:
Q: You’ve done acting, modelling, and now you’re designing. Is this the future for Emma Watson?
A: Oh, I don’t have any plans to be a designer. I’m doing this range because I really care about fair-trade and ethical fashion. I’m so pleased that I got involved, but I don’t want to take all the credit for being the designer because I haven’t trained as a designer or even gone to art college – in fact, I had no idea about the amount of work involved at the outset!
While speaking with Express, Emma touches on wrapping up Deathly Hallows filming in a few months and acting in the future:
Potter producers have scheduled filming to allow her to attend college and film her remaining scenes during her holidays. The last day of filming Harry Potter draws closer, however.
“I will be uncontrollable,” she says, picturing that final day on set. “It’s been half of our lives. It’s made us, it’s formed us. It’s such a big part of my life so it will be really sad.”
Emma is still debating whether to continue with acting long term. “I just want to be sure it’s what I want. I was so young and I don’t think I really knew the greatness of what I was signing on for. I really want to study. I would love to try theatre. I need to try stuff out. But I say all this now, I’m sure I’ll still be here in 10 years, making Harry Potter 30.”

I'm now back at Uni having spent January filming more scenes from Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Thanks so much for your support and kind words about my People Tree Collection, it was nerve racking, but I'm so glad it is being received so well and let's hope we can begin to make a difference. The fine people at Teen Vogue have updated their website this evening with two new features related to Potter actress Emma Watson's involvement with the fair-trade fashion company People Tree. We last reported on Emma's work with this company earlier this month.
Over on Teen Vogue you can see this gallery of pictures from the "Love From Emma" fashion line. Below are comments from Emma about her involvement with People Tree: "Girls I've spoken with are as conscientious as ever, yet there's so little ethical clothing out there for people my age. In a way, I did it for me because I couldn't find what I wanted in stores. This collection reflects my casual side, the stuff I'd wear to class. The cuts are sexier than most sustainable brands. I'm a perfectionist, so I couldn't sleep if something wasn't exactly the way I wanted." Read more at this link!

The actress who plays Hermione Granger in the Potter films has taken to her official site to address recent bullying at Brown rumors as well as her future career there:
I felt the need to let you all know the reason I took a semester off from Brown had nothing to do with bullying as the media have been suggesting recently. I have never been bullied in my life and certainly never at Brown. This '10 points to Gryffindor' incident never even happened. I feel the need to say this because accusing Brown students of something as serious as bullying and this causing me to leave seems beyond unfair.
Please don't try and speculate about what I might do in September - no one can possibly know because I don't even know yet! Like my other fellow Brown students I am trying to figure out my third year and whether or not I will spend it abroad (this is common).

Tonight I happened upon a test screening of "My Week with Marilyn," the next film to star Harry Potter lead actress Emma Watson. The film, though still "incomplete" at this stage, was very enjoyable, and also starred Kenneth Branagh (Gilderoy Lockhart in Chamber of Secrets). Toby Jones, who voices Dobby in the Potter films, also has a role.
Set in 1956, the film is about Marilyn Monroe (portrayed by Michelle Williams) and her trip to England to film "The Prince and the Showgirl" with Laurence Olivier (played by Branagh). Emma plays Lucy, a wardrobe assistant on the film who is a romantic interest for the male lead Colin (Eddie Redmayne), an assistant on the whole production who writes the memoir on which the film is based.
"My Week with Marilyn" is scheduled for release on November 4th, and was an excellent insight into Olivier, Monroe and the world in which they lived. It is directed by Simon Curtis, who also directed the version of "David Copperfield" that starred Daniel Radcliffe, before he was Harry.

"I've always been so nervous at the thought of exposing myself without being sheltered by a role. But hey, I watched the women who worked before me for Lancôme. They never changed person. They take you as you are. So I agreed. I decided to trust."

A recent article in the New York Times features the excitement and passion that the 'Harry Potter' starlet Emma Watson had while filming her latest project, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is due out in theaters in 2012.
In particular, Emma enjoyed so many experiences that as a film star for over a decade she missed out on. She stated:
"Oh my goodness, so many firsts, I did the prom! We all get dressed up and we go in a limo, and get photographs. It's been really fun for me to get to graduate. Eating in the school canteen; all these things that I've always sort of said to my American friends, 'Oh, that looks amazing, that looks so fun, I'm jealous.' And I get to do it for this movie."
Emma also goes on to tell how she did a stunt that the production team really didn't want her to do, but she insisted on doing it - standing up in the back of a pickup truck late at night and riding through the Fort Pitt Tunnel, with the city lights of Pittsburgh shining on the other end. Emma said, "Oh my God, it was so fun. One of the best nights of my life, without a doubt."

As we have watched Emma Watson grow up before our very eyes, we have seen her turn into a budding fashionista. Now, the actress is creating yet another line of clothing, this time for the winter, for fair trade and environmentally sustainable People Tree.
In a recent interview with the Huffington Post, Safia Minney, CEO of People Tree, said this about Emma's involvement in the creation of the clothing:
"She was very active in the design process. Every evening when she was finishing last Harry Potter film, she would come to work with us, drawing ideas herself, and then she came with us to Bangladesh to see how our work is helping people. She was keen to build in hand-sewn details where possible. She is a very well-informed girl about the issues surrounding fashion."
To find out more about People Tree and how to become more fashionably sustainable, as well as view Emma's entire winter clothing line, visit People Tree's website.

Jill Taylor, costume designer for the Golden Globe nominated film My Week with Marilyn, revealed that Emma was the true fifties starlet on the set. Praised for her petite figure and style stole the spotlight from Michelle Williams - the actress who portrays Marilyn Monroe - while she was on the set.
Miss Taylor stated, "We got her the day before she filmed, I had her for a couple of hours and we fitted her at Eton school. We were filming there. All the costumes were vintage, nothing was made from scratch for Emma and she was just tiny enough that she could wear these clothes. A lot of them were very tiny - she is an original 1950's star."
My Week with Marilyn is in select theaters right now.

Emma Watson - who portrayed Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series - signed with the luxury cosmetics company, Lancome, last March and has since helped to launch two major campaigns with the company.
The first campaign was the Lancome brand Tresor Midnight Rose fragrence line, and more recently, she launched the company's skin brightening serum, Blanc Expert Derm-Crystal. Currently, Emma has been promoting the launch of the new lipstick line (that she helped design) with the Lancome Rouge in Love campaign, which is set to be released in February.
Today, we share with you a look from the behind-the-scenes video of her photo shoot. Emma has certainly come a very long way from her bushy hair days when we first saw her in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.

Today, AskMen.com released their Top 99 Most Desirable Women for 2012 list. Now in its 11th year, the list is annually the site's largest feature, and helps signal shifts in the qualities men are looking for in their dream girls and celebrity crushes; over 1 million readers voted on the Top 99 in 2012.
This year, Emma Watson appeared on the list in the exact same position she was featured last year - No. 17. Emma outshined a host of A-list celebrities and models including Lady Gaga (#18), Natalie Portman (#21), and Kate Beckinsale (#22).
However, Emma is the highest ranked Briton from the more than 150,000 UK readers of AskMen.com, and is overall ranked No. 2 on their list behind only Zooey Deschanel.
Among many of Emma's accomplishments this past year include her role in the film My Week with Marilyn, the face of Lancome, numerous magazine appearances and covers, and a new film coming out later this year with Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Even though Emma has an extremely high rating with the fashion industry, including her significant role in the design of the People Tree clothing line, she admits that her personal fashion is 'boring.' She said, "My problem is that I am a little bit boring. I don't wear designer bags or big sunglasses. When I don't have to play Emma Watson in public, I'd rather no put myself 'out there'. I have to be more careful with my look in my everyday life."
As a student at Oxford University in England, its good to know that she is still one of the most level-headed and intelligent actresses in the industry today.
