The UK DailyMail has an article on Tom Felton and his attendance to the UK premiere of The Dark Knight last night. In it, he speaks about his role of Draco in the upcoming Half-Blood Prince movie and explains how the film will reveal much of his character's complexities.
There are reasons that Draco is the way he is. He’s seen so many things and been taught so many wrong ideas from his father, Lucius, and of course he worships his father.

Scholastic's official website has a new interview with the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter films. In it, he speaks about the character of Draco, Tom's YouTube videos, and a lot more.
Scholastic: What's your opinion of Draco?
Tom: Not a very pleasant one, I assure you. I figure, I think of him as a misled only child who's been slightly bullied into his state of mind, if you will. But in long short, he is a nasty bit of work. A bit of a slimy, troublesome character who's not really up for any good and certainly the benefit of anyone else.
Scholastic: Well, my next question was going to be, "Do you think people misunderstand him?" But I guess you already answered that.
Tom: Well, I suppose, "yes" would be the answer. By the same token, he doesn't do a great job of trying to convince otherwise, does he?

Fan site FeltBeats.com has scored a very nice interview with the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter films. In it, he discusses Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows, and a whole lot more. In the HBP portion of the interview, he was asked if he was excited about having a more prominent role in the film:
Tom: Yeah, sure. When David Yates dragged me [aside] at the beginning of it and said, “I have full faith in you,” yadda yadda, and I hope that you’re going to embrace the role and so forth. And I was fairly terrified. We did a read-through with Michael Gambon, and I was petrified at the thought of the final scene.
But after that, I guess I sort of learned a lot on the set, and David Yates was really my motivation. He was very, very, complimentary of everything he saw and very good with direction. He knew exactly what to say to get the results he wanted. And what the producers saw, they were very, very happy as well. And that sort of spurred me on even further. And, it was great fun. I really, really enjoyed it more than any other film, without a doubt. Sort of, embracing the role, if you will, and making the most of it.
You can see the entire interview at these links: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3. A fourth part to the interview will be online in a few days. Thanks to HPANA for the tip!

The actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter films has been busy speaking to the fans. You may remember last week we told you about a very big interview with Felton-fansite Feltbeats.com. The fourth and final part of that interview is now online right here.
Additionally, Tom spoke with Heat Radio the other day and discussed Potter and music. When it came to a question about Half-Blood Prince Tom didn't hesitate to reveal how big of a film he thinks it is:
BD: And, tell us about “The Half Blood Prince” movie, what can we expect?
TF: A lot, a lot, I mean obviously I’m restricted, I haven’t seen much, I limit myself to how much I actually watch whilst we’re shooting it. It was an seven month shoot and I was there throughout, and for what I’ve seen and done, it’s gunna be a… it’s gunna be an epic film.

OK! Magazine is reporting that earlier today, Potter film stars Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton (with his girlfriend) visited the stuntman who was seriously injured on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:
The actors appeared shaken upon leaving the hospital, and with due cause – Holmes has been Daniel's body double for all of the Harry Potter movies, and the injuries to his spine could cause paralysis.

SnitchSeeker and Feltbeats recently interviewed the actor who plays Draco in the Potter films. In it, Tom discusses what he does on set in between takes:
FB: So, their next question is: "Have you ever brought your guitar onto the set of Harry Potter, and if so, have you ever jammed with any of the other actors?"
TF: Evvvvveryday. That's where I learned to play guitar! It's no secret that there can be quite a lot of time-waiting on the film set. I just took a guitar in... Actually, the first person who started showing me stuff was my driver. I had the same driver from the first film, a very nice guy called Jimmy Adams. He actually played the left-handed guitar, and obviously I'm right handed. But, it was a little bit tricky then to show me anything decent. Now, he showed me a couple of moves, and he's been a great resource. I just learned pretty much from there.

Feltbeats has released the third part of their interview with the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter films. In it, Tom talks all about his love for music and how he got started:
Q: How long have you been playing guitar?
A: I dunno, that’s a bit of a funny one, that. It’s a bit like, “How long have you been walking?” I’ve been HOLDING a guitar for maybe… well, I got my first real guitar on my nineteenth birthday, and I’ll be twenty-two this September. So, I mean, I know I had played before I got that guitar, but I had never really played seriously. So, I’m coming up on two or two and a half years, if that makes sense.

In a new interview with the Press Association, Tom Felton reflects on his years with the Harry Potter film franchise. Interestingly enough, Felton--who plays Harry Potter's nemesis Draco Malfoy--originally auditioned for the role of Harry.
I went for Harry for about five times and then Ron for a couple more and ended up dying my hair blond for Draco. I had my hair dyed brown, ginger and then blond and finally they got it right.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is here and The Los Angeles times has released its final installment of its Harry Potter countdown--an interview with Tom Felton. He talks about Draco's role in Half-Blood Prince and working with some of Britain's best actors:
DM: What do you remember about shooting that climactic scene on the Astronomy Tower?
TF: It was intense! When we shot it I was surrounded by the cream of British actors [Alan Rickman and Helena Bonham Carter were present, as was the Dublin-born Gambon], and the scene itself is very intense. There’s lots of shouting, screaming and tears. We had good fun with that one. It was the scene I was most looking forward to.

Potter actors Tom Felton and Warwick Davis were both in attendance at a Memorabilia fan convention in Birmingham over the weekend. Both spoke to fans about Potter, and Tom had some interesting things to say about his work with Deathly Hallows. From The Telegraph:
Felton said: "We've just finished doing the most substantial bits of filming.
"I think we're revelling in the fact that this is it- the last one. I get quite emotional just thinking about it."
"I'm not looking forward to not being blonde anymore. I've forgotten what my real hair colour is."
A report on Snitch Seeker from a fan who attended the convention also reveals that Tom touched on filming the Epilogue:
Tom was asked if he was to be used in the epilogue and as yet doesn't know but he told us that a mould of his face and the others was made last year and he was asked to provide photos of his brothers & father and remarked he couldn't wait to see himself wrinkly.

MTV has released another article from their recent visit to the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This time we learn about Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton's musical tastes for filming:
"Lots and lots of Radiohead. Loads of stuff. I often come back to stuff like Radiohead and Hope of the States for those harder scenes."
Based on recent, early morning experience, co-star Tom Felton confirmed Radcliffe's pre-shoot music obsession. "Daniel loves it in the makeup room," Felton said. "He thumps it out — we're talking 6 in the morning — some '60s ska/punk band. It's like, 'All right, man!' He loves it."

There are two new interviews online tonight with Tom Felton and Bonnie Wright, who have recently spoken to United States news sources to promote the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince DVD.
In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Tom talks briefly about Deathly Hallows and an upcoming cameo in a Jonah Hill film.
In an interview with US Potter book publisher Scholastic, both Tom and Bonnie discuss the books/films in general:
Q: How would you describe J.K. Rowling?
Bonnie: I always find it so surreal meeting her. This whole world literally is because of one person.
Tom: She's a very unassuming down-to-earth lady, the most lovely lady. I was always taken away by how genuine she seemed, and how unaffected by the fact that she's probably the world's biggest author.

The Times Online has a new "Significant Others" feature online where Potter actor Tom Felton names six very important people in his life. He talks about members of his family and his friends, including Order of the Phoenix through Deathly Hallows director David Yates:
David Yates [who directed the past three Harry Potter films] has this beautiful calmness and clarity about what he wants. I had no confidence in my ability to be an actor for the rest of my life, but he embedded a passion for film in me.

Speaking at the UK premiere for Remember Me, Tom Felton, who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter films, talked about Deathly Hallows and revealed for the first time how they will be aging the characters for the epilogue.
"There's a lovely moment at the end of the film where we're all 35 years old, Dan and I are very excited to see each other as old men!"
"They're doing it with prosthetics, with me at least. No digital enhancements, it's all real stuff. I'm hoping it's going to be flattering, we'll see!"
He also mentioned the benefit of splitting the book into two films saying, "One of the great things about the last one is that we've managed to split it into two films. We have all the freedom to stick to the books exactly and revel in them and enjoy every page."
The video footage can be seen here courtesy of Digital Spy.

There's a new interview out today with the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series. In it, he talks about his reaction to receiving a nomination at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards (which we first reported earlier today).
Of special interest is his comments about a scene they were planning on shooting for Goblet of Fire, which they ending up scrapping:
"In the fourth film, I got turned into a ferret," he said. "In the original script, it says that in the transition back from ferret to human, I was going to be naked, and I was going to have to run through the courtyard with about 60 extras and 50 film crew and run out with my cheeks on show. For some reason, they pulled that at the last minute. I don't know why. Maybe they thought it was too explicit for young viewers. Maybe something about not having a wide-angle lens!"

MTV has a new interview with Tom Felton, the actor who plays Draco Malfoy in the Potter series, where discusses preparation for filming the Deathly Hallows Epilogue.
"For nearly two months, we've all been doing prosthetic tests and all sorts of preparation for the epilogue," Felton said. "I've been having some aging training. You've got to walk differently. There's a slump in your walk."
Felton notes they have someone who comes in to teach them how to be old and that they were told to imagine they had weights on their arms.
"We're probably at the most exciting bit," he said. "Certainly the part I've been most looking forward to. It's going to be very exciting."

As we've been reporting all week, the cast of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows are filming the Epilogue scenes at Kings Cross and have two weeks of shooting left.
We've all been wondering what the feeling is like on location, and stars Matt Lewis and Tom Felton have shed some light on that question. They were seen talking on Twitter earlier today:
Matt: So I rock up to Kings Cross. Been on the train a while. Rather tired. And some people are blocking the place up shooting a stupid movie.
Tom (replying to Matt): I got blocked by the same people! Such a nuisance! Sick of these little indie films jamming up London! Get a studio : ) x
Matt (replying to Tom): Haha, it's an outrage! Out of curiousity since I've now left King's Cross, how's it all gone? I heard it was...emotional!
Tom (replying to Matt): I'm tearing up as we tweet. It was special mate, What can I say......I'm tweetless x
We THINK Tom is being serious. It must be an emotional time on set considering they have two weeks of filming left!

Tom Felton - the 2010 MTV Movie Awards winner for Best Villain - has confirmed that his girlfriend Jade Olivia will play Draco Malfoy's wife in Deathly Hallows Pt. 2.
"The producers actually came to me about six months ago and asked me, and I was like, OK, I'll ask her. She was slightly reluctant but I pulled her arm and twisted it and then she was filming with me for three days at King's Cross," he said.
He joked that their relationship, which has been going on for the past two years, moved very fast in those three days. "We had a kid together, it was all very rush rush. So yeah, we were married for three days. It was very fun," he joked. "It gave me a chance to see what she would look going to look like in 19 years and, if that's what she's going to look like, I'm doing pretty well for myself."
You may recall that Malfoy and his wife Astoria are seen with Scorpious in the epilogue.

Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton is the latest person to let the world know that he is now finished with filming for the Harry Potter franchise.
In an interview with The Press Association, Tom says the feeling when he finished was 'weird':
"I was expecting this big emotional breakdown but instead the first AD (assistant director) got out the microphone and listed the names of people who it was their last day and forced the crew for a ripple of applause and then we walked off and that was it," Tom revealed.
"The reason why it perhaps hasn't sunk in yet is because we always feel like we're going to be asked back for something or other, I'm sure it's not the last time we've seen those studios," he laughed.
Congratulations to Tom for finishing filming! At this point, we believe all filming is complete. Unfortunately no official statements have been made - yet.

Deathly Hallows filming may be ending today, but we still have the movies to look forward to, and according to Tom Felton, we can expect "some great stuff" from Ralph Fiennes.
He said: "I've never worked with Ralph one-on-one [until recently], Alan Rickman was there and several dark presences so it was very daunting and there are some horrifically evil speeches. There's a lot to look forward to, definitely."

Two weeks ago we told you that filming for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - and for the series as a whole - had come to a close.
However, today Draco Malfoy actor Tom Felton tweeted that he just wrapped up a bit of additional filming:
last official EVER day as draco malfoy! what a unique 10 years its been! will be sad to take my suit off for the last time! I will miss the blonde haired little git x
He later added:
Well that's it. All wrapped. Goodbye leavesden, hogwarts, childhood, blonde hair and so many friends. It's been amazing. Quite sad now x
Looking back is very strange. 10 years went so quick. I remember auditioning like it was yesterday! Thanks for keeping HP alive so long x
We suppose they had to call back Tom - and maybe a few other actors - to take care of a couple extra shots. Congrats on wrapping, Tom!

During a recent interview with MTV, Tom Felton - the actor who portrays Draco Malfoy - discusses how J.K. Rowling helped him understand the softer side of Draco.
"Jo always talked about him as being vulnerable, most bullies are. They're actually hugely insecure and have their own problems, and he has the worst parental guidance of any child I've ever seen in my life."
Tom additionally talks about how the director, David Yates, uses slightly different interpretations during the filming process from one take to another and how it'll be interesting to see which version of a scene will make it into the final film.

MTV's Josh Horowitz recently sat down with Dan Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton for a short web episode of "MTV After Hours." In it, Horowitz got the young actors to try their best at pronunciations of certain "American" things such as Olive Garden, Glenn Beck and Justin Bieber. To finish, he had them all place an order (as if in a restaurant) for mozzarella sticks. View this hilarious interview and judge their attempts for yourself at this link.

It's the hot topic amongst Potter fans this week: What on earth will J.K. Rowling announce this Thursday? All we know currently is the name (Pottermore).
Actor Tom Felton addressed the question while in Australia:
Rotae: Okay, so, have you heard about Pottermore?
Tom: Pottermore... Is this the new thing that J.K. is announcing next week? I saw this yesterday, this thing online saying J.K.’s going to announce something, and I here I am thinking, "Booyah! Book 8 on the way!" (laughs) But obviously, yeah, no. I don’t know! Someone told me it could be an online socialising thing for Potter-people?Which sounds cool! I think there’s a massive gap in the market for that. Obviously there’s loads of websites that have done that to a certain extent, but to have one that’s like, officially got the stamp of approval from her, would be awesome, I think.
Do you think Tom is on track? Thanks to FeltBeats for the interview.

What would the last four movies have been like for the fans of Harry Potter if it were an entirely new cast? Is this even possible to imagine?
In a new interview, Tom Felton reveals that the original cast had "only signed up for one film" and they feared being replaced with new cast members after Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire was released in 2004. Tom said:
"We all feared that after the fourth film that they were going to get rid of us and start again with new kids. So yeah, we're very proud to have made it all the way through, so to speak."
Fans may remember that Tom Felton also auditioned for the parts of Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, but in the end was very glad he landed the part of Draco Malfoy.
"You know, no-one could have done the job as good as Daniel, or especially Rupert, you know, comedic genius, but yeah! No doubt things would have been very different. I'm not sure I would have rocked the ginger hair as well as I did the blond."

This past weekend Tom Felton attended the Fan Expo Canada convention in Toronto, Canada and answered many questions from the panel and convention attendees.
Interestingly, he stated how the Voldemort/Draco hug in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was one take out of twenty-five possiblities and was not scripted at all; turns out it was Ralph Fiennes who initiated the hug that made it into the final cut.
Of special note: Tom was recently asked to attend the Wizarding World of Harry Potter celebration this coming Novemeber and stated that he would love to be a part of the event.

This weekend, Dragon*Con is happening in Atlanta, GA. The conference is the "largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music and film in the universe." Naturally, our friends at HPEF - the Harry Potter fan event group behind Infinitus, Azkatraz, Lumos and more - will be present (Friday through Sunday), as will Harry Potter actor Tom Felton.
Every day starting tomorrow, HPEF will be hosting a Potter trivia challenge on their Twitter account, @HPEF. Every time they ask a question, the first five people to show up at their Dragon*Con booth with the correct answer will win a prize! You can also find out more information about HPEF's next event, Ascendio, happening next summer at the luxurious (my word for it) Portofino Bay Resort right by Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
The HPEF booth will be located on Exhibition level 2 at the Hyatt hotel during Dragon*Con. If you haven't registered for Ascendio yet, you can do so at their web site or by cash at their booth. If you have already registered, stop by their booth to receive a thank-you gift! And, finally, if you are going to register, please be sure to drop MuggleNet's name upon registration. We will certainly be at Ascendio next summer (July 12-15) and are excited to see you then.

"My biggest worry when I'm away working is what'll happen to Timber. I wanted a dog throughout childhood but wasn't allowed - responsibility and all that - so the first thing I did on moving out was get a puppy. She's a Chesapeake Bay retriever. I love her."

Today, we get to see the new look for actor Tom Felton - who portrayed Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter series - on set filming in South Africa. Tom portrays Viscount Trencavel from the adaptation of the book Labyrinth by Kate Mosse.
Executive director Tim Halkin stated: "I am very pleased to have found such an extraordinarily talented young actor who is still the same age as the historical figure of Viscount Trencavel. Trencavel was an incredible young man, very wise, and I'm sure that Tom Felton will live up to his memory and legacy."
The film has a scheduled 2012 release worldwide, though no current distributor in the United States.
