James and Oliver Phelps are best known for portraying the roles of twins Fred and George Weasley in the Harry Potter film series, but yesterday they traveled out to the town of Shrewsbury in order to happily accept a check for 20,000 GBP towards the twins charity Teenage Cancer Trust.
The twins opened the Teenage Cancer Trust unit in 2011 at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and is a place that puts young cancer patients at ease.
Morris Lubricants, which is Britain's leading family-owned, independent oil blenders and marketers, raised the 20,000 GBP funds by over 60 indivdual's efforts within the company's workforce family as a tribute to one of their own members, Adam Fewtrell, who died from a rare form of childhood bone cancer last year at the age of 20.
Well done Morris Lubricants family and especially the family of Adam Fewtrell for their tremendous efforts raising this large amount of money for a great cause.

Last weekend, the Phelps twins visited the Harry Potter exhibit in New York to meet fans and sign autographs. While there they fielded questions from Entertainment Weekly, discussing some of their favorite Potter memories—as well as revealing some amusing anecdotes from their Exhibition visit:
"One girl came in with a toilet seat," James says, in honor of their characters’ penchant for blowing up toilets in the books. "I’d love to have seen her just walking through Times Square carrying a toilet seat." Jokes Oliver: "I don’t know if it was screwed on, or if she bought it on the way here." Either way, they signed it, and they agree the bar has now been raised.
I have a feeling that this won’t be the last toilet seat the pair is asked to sign! Read the full interview here and don’t forget to check out MuggleNet’s Exhibition Page for fan reports on the twins’ visit!

Here is another wonderful opportunity to catch one of your favorite Potter stars on stage! James Phelps, who played Fred Weasley in the films, is set to star in The Boy Who Was Woody Allen for four short nights at the Pleasance Theater in Islington next week, February 6th - 9th. James is the lead in the MUSICAL comedy - and we have been told that he is "discovering his singing voice" - so the show should be quite the treat.
John O'Leary (played by James) is an 18 year old 6' 3" blond Catholic boy standing in line to meet to school careers officer. He has absolutely no idea what he would like to do. Being Catholic he is allowed at least one epiphany in his life and, luckily, his arrives now. He is going to be Woody Allen! There then follows a number of surreal episodes which include John/Woody having to convince his mother, who spends a lot of her day knitting crucifixes for her priest, to accept his new Jewish faith and persona; meeting a nihilist goth at a house of mourning and marrying her only to find out shortly after saying "I Do" that she is a lesbian; discovering therapy and developing a stand up comedy routine. As success and fame beckons and a second romance blossoms with a baker of phallic pattiserie, Woody realises that all is not as it seems when at a retro Annie Hall party he meets a second Woody Allen, an undercover agent for the C.I.A.
You can view the full poster for the production here.
In a very exclusive - and generous - offer to MuggleNet fans, one of the writer's of the play, David Simmons, is offering MuggleNet fans a two-for-one offer! Tickets can be purchased on the Pleasance Theater website, and to get your second ticket free, simply email David and tell him, "I'm a Muggle!" - you might want to also thank him!
MuggleNet will be attending opening night of the show and will be posting a review shortly after. Do you plan on attending? We can't wait!
UPDATE: In yet another way David plans to shock and awe MuggleNet fans, he is now offering the first 25 'Muggles' who order tickets then email him an autographed program from James! This truly is an amazing offer, and if I were in the UK, I would be there in a heartbeat! Thank you David!

Daniel Radcliffe’s tendency to prank his fellow Harry Potter cast-mates often added levity to the set, but there was at least one time when his antics went a little too far.
Reportedly, Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid in the films, was once a victim of a prank where the young actor changed the settings on his friend’s phone from English to Turkish. The joke seems harmless enough—except that Coltrane was left unable to make calls!
The infuriated actor had a hard time finding anyone on set who could change the settings of his phone back to English, and Radcliffe was left feeling understandably sheepish about what he had done. Coltrane remembers the event clearly:
Eventually we found a girl in the Harry Potter make-up department who was Turkish Cypriot. She phoned her mum and was chatting away in great detail until they sorted it out. I think Daniel was so upset at what had happened that he wrote me that note...'Dear Mr. Coltrane, I'm sorry I changed your mobile telephone into Turkish...
Have you ever been part of a prank gone too far? Let us know in the comments!
