This is only the latest casting news for Harry Potter actors; 2013 will see a number of new releases in theaters and on DVD. Daniel Radcliffe’s tendency to prank his fellow Harry Potter cast-mates often added levity to the set, but there was at least one time when his antics went a little too far.
Reportedly, Robbie Coltrane, who portrayed Hagrid in the films, was once a victim of a prank where the young actor changed the settings on his friend’s phone from English to Turkish. The joke seems harmless enough—except that Coltrane was left unable to make calls!
The infuriated actor had a hard time finding anyone on set who could change the settings of his phone back to English, and Radcliffe was left feeling understandably sheepish about what he had done. Coltrane remembers the event clearly:
Eventually we found a girl in the Harry Potter make-up department who was Turkish Cypriot. She phoned her mum and was chatting away in great detail until they sorted it out. I think Daniel was so upset at what had happened that he wrote me that note...'Dear Mr. Coltrane, I'm sorry I changed your mobile telephone into Turkish...
Have you ever been part of a prank gone too far? Let us know in the comments!

In the post Potter era that we live in, it isn't uncommon to read about the new roles our favorite stars have recently signed on for. This week was no exception.
We start off with Tom Felton, who starts filming Attachment with Sharon Stone and Lorraine Nicholson at the end of this month. In addition to that, Tom has signed on for period piece, Belle. It takes place in the 1780's and also stars fellow Potter album Miranda Richardson (Rita Skeeter). With Therese Raquin, which filmed this past June, releasing December 28th, fans of the actor have a packed movie-going year ahead of them!
Next we check in with Bonnie Wright, who reunites with Ciaran Hinds (Aberforth Dumbledore) for a part in The Sea, an adaptation of the story by John Banville. Bonnie will portray Rose in the film, and Ciaran is slated to play Max Morden. Don't forget to catch Bonnie in The Philosophers and Before I Sleep, which both release in early 2013.
Moving on to fan favorite Gary Oldman, who was recently spotted in Philadelphia filming Paranoia with Harrison Ford. The film, set to be released this time next year, revolves around corporate espionage. Gary can also be seen in a reboot of RoboCop, which is slated for release in 2014.
Finally we have David Thewlis, who has joined the cast of The Zero Theorem, which also stars Matt Damon & Tilda Swinton, and taking the helm is acclaimed director Terry Gilliam. The story is a meaning of life fairytale that involves a computer hacker, and is set for release in 2013.

Next up we have fan favorite Warwick Davis who is set to join An Idiot Abroad - Short Way Round, a documentary series about a man with absolutely no interest in travel. Warwick will join the host, Karl Plinkington, for a 5000 mile journey through Europe, India, & China. It features Warwick's Life's Too Short castmate Ricky Gervais and can be seen on Sky 1 this November in the UK.
Last, but certainly not least, the first clip of Evanna Lynch in the Sky 1 series Sinbad has made it's debut online. Evanna has a guest spot on the series finale, which airs September 23rd in the UK.
