Yesterday we reported a rumor stating that a clip from the fifth Harry Potter movie would be shown at Comic-Con. According to Warner Bros., this is not the case. Director David Yates and Daniel Radcliffe will be included in a special taped greeting that will play at the convention.

James and Oliver Phelps, Fred and George Weasley in the Potter films, took part in the "Warren Clarke Golf Day" at the Beaconsfield Golf Club in the UK today. You can see 25 pictures from the event at London Features International.
The event benefits Sign, "the only charity in the UK dedicated to the field of mental health and deafness."

USA Today reports an initial print-run of two million copies and says that if this book follows the same pattern as the first five, it should reach #1 on the bestsellers list.

WB Consumer Products announced yesterday "a multi-year licensing agreement that names NECA, Inc. the master toy, gift and specialty product licensee for the magical Harry Potter series throughout North America, Latin America and Asia Pacific." NECA will develop gifts, toys and specialty products, to be aimed mostly at older Harry Potter fans and released in conjunction with the fifth movie.

The Oxford Mail reports that filming for the Order of the Phoenix movie took place recently in the grounds of Blenheim Palace. Although the filming crew declined comment on the situation, the newspaper says that filming took place near a lake in the park and Daniel Radcliffe was present.
