Video of 'Hand, Foot, and Wand' ceremony
Video of 'Hand, Foot, and Wand' ceremony Yesterday at Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson were honored at the "Hand, Foot, and Wand" ceremony. The trio had their hands, feet, and even wands pressed into the cement at the theatre's forecourt. Check out a video of this here.

I was there! I took my daughter up to Hollywood to see it. Even though we got there late, we were lucky to get chosen and handed tickets to move across the street so that we were right next to the ceremony and got autographs from Emma and Rupert (Daniel skipped our section and caused a few little girls to cry...but I'm sure he didn't mean to!) All three of them are very real and sweet. They tried their hardest to get to as many fans as possible, and were out there for a long time signing autographs in the hot sun. I give them tons of credit for their great attitudes. It couldn't have been easy with the hundreds/thousands of fans screaming in their faces and trying to get pieces of them. As far as the issue of the wand prints, their cement block also has the "Harry Potter" logo stamped on it, above their prints and names. It is meant as a tribute both to the actors AND to the characters. So the wands make sense.

I love Ruperts t-shirt. One school I worked in had that poster up in the staffroom.

IM so happy for them, im really happy for them they deserve it. they are amazing talented and gorgeous people. i wish i get to meet them someday.

Posted by Laurahtje Jul 11th 2007

I've never seen anyone do that before. :) Why wouldn't they want to be known for their roles in Harry Potter? That's what made them all stars and millionaires.

Posted by hermionenumbertwo Jul 11th 2007

TAKE YOUR SHOES OFF RUPERT. [he was a little late with that, wasn't he?]

Posted by figures_a_and_b Jul 11th 2007

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOH. My cousin and I were there. We had the neon pink and yellow posters.

Posted by Cnmynameinlites Jul 11th 2007

Wow, that is so cool! They have worked so hard and they deserve what they received. I am so excited for them, and I wish them the best in the future. I also loved the clip of them putting their Hands, Feet, and Wands in the cement. Great Job!

Cool! - I can't wait until friday,w hen i'm going to watch the movie!!

I know a lot of people have expressed 'concern' over the wand imprints -- saying that forever keeps them in the roles of Harry, Ron & Hermione. And while yes, they've said they don't want to be these characters forever, this is what gave them their big launch into showbiz. Also, the imprints are all on one square. If they had each been doing their own square, the wands probably wouldn't have been used ... but with it being the three of them together, as they are in the movies, it is only fitting. Awesome video -- kudos to the three of them for enjoying what they are doing and not letting the fame go to their heads!

They are marvellous young stars. So big yet so ordinary. So sweet, don't seem to be spoilt. Hope will stay that way forever..........

I was there and it was sooo sooo amazing. Emma looked like she was about to cry and everyone was just so nervous. It was just so awesome.

Posted by Lyn_Potter_Granger Jul 12th 2007

it was soooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool, i think that it was a bad idea to put the wand in and a good idea too. emma daniel and ron looked to hot . i wish i was there

Posted by lena007 Jul 12th 2007

I can't wait till I get to see OOTP!!!! It looks amazing!!!

Posted by souldragon_87 Jul 12th 2007

they did there foot prints with their shoes on, rupert was the only one who took off his shoes and did his feet

Posted by performingmonkey Jul 12th 2007

Can I just say that Emma seems to have reached a new level of hotness! A while ago she was really too thin and I was worried that she was just gonna tow the line of all these unhealthily stick-thin actresses. Thankfully she's flourishing into a beautiful young woman.

Posted by Female_Werewolf Jul 12th 2007

Honestly, my favorite part of the video was when Emma was talking at the end, Rupert was attempting to get out of his shoes! :)

Posted by laradumagi99 Jul 12th 2007

they should be really proud of themselves they deserve it! but i feel as though the wand imprinting was a bit uneccesary. because the wand is there, it now seems that they're just being recognized for playing Harry, Ron, and Hermione, instead of being the great actors [which they are] Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson. But...thats just my opinion

Posted by laughingeyes927 Jul 12th 2007

That's so weird, because the other day I was wondering whether they had done that or not, and then I came on here and saw that they did it! It's so amazing...they are so lucky. They must be so honored.

Posted by PhoenixFire72 Jul 12th 2007

OMG!! I'v been in front of the chineese theatre in Hollywood and im going there later in the summer so I'll get to see this!!!!!! OMG!!!!!

Posted by potterhead22 Jul 12th 2007

That is great! It must have been fun to be that close to all the action! How did you get to do all that? Well, the trio seemed genuinely excited to be getting this honor. Thanks Harrypotterspage!

Posted by Harry_potter_fan_4eva Jul 14th 2007

Awww.............so cute and great!!!! Qyite nervewrecking for them I must say though, but they have all come a long way since they started playing the 3 main characters from the first movie and hopefully to the end now too!!!!!

They make a fuss about Hogsmeade, but I assure you, Harry, it's not all it's cracked up to be. All right, the sweetshop's rather good, and Zonko's Joke Shop is frankly dangerous, and yes, the Shrieking Shack's always worth a visit, but really, Harry, apart from that you're not missing anything.
