Honestly I think it is entirely plausible that this is authentic, even with mistakes. Someone other than JK typed this out, if they scanned a brief glimpse of her labtop to get it it could hardly be cut- and -paste from the book. As for the mixed grammer, isn't that the concept behind the American versions? On the other hand, it's just as likely fake. Either way I am SO EXCITED!

the thing with the 759 pages is that when we originally got the page count for HBP it was 672, however the numbered pages only went up to 652- i believe the same ting happened with OOTP they count all the extra pages (table of contents/awknowledgement page etc etc) in the original page count before the book is released

I honestly just can not decide on what to belive it seems authenctic but I do agree with some other poeple that it just does not sound like Mrs Rowlings writing but I guess we all shall see friday.......by the way I finnaly went to see OOTP today and i was ssoooooo disappointed i know thqt they have to cut alot of things out to make a comfortable movie but there were so many things cut that it really makes me wish I would have waited to read the book because then I woul not be able to compare the two it was just TOO MUCH CUT in my opinion and for my taste...........

It's probably true... After all, it suppsedly came from the documentary's trailer.... OMG!!! I AM GOING TO ABSOLUTELY DIE BEFORE GETTING BOOK 7 IN MY HANDS!!!!!!

THE SPOILER SCANS THAT ARE SPREADING AROUND ARE FAKE FOR SEVERAL REASONS: 1) The Table of Contents always has 8 chapters listed on the first page and 9 on all of the others, while the alleged leaks have 9 chapters listed with 10 on the others. 2) The shadows on the book, especially those between the pages, are very fake looking. 3) There is no back cover visible where there clearly should be. Instead there are very suspicious looking dark blurs. 4) About ¾ of the way down one of the scans there is an impossible bend in the book that spans both pages. 5) Some pages in the scans are outrageously translucent, but the real Potter pages are relatively thick. 6) Towards the top of the inside flap of the jacket you can tell that it’s WAY too shiny (almost laminated). In extent, the color of the binding is not consistent from scan to scan. 7) The harlequin patterned page that normally appears after the Table of Contents is not there. 8) The epilogue is supposed to explain what happens to those who survive, so unless only 5 people survive… 9) The epilogue sounds like a 5 page Fan-Fiction. The names sound very dodgy. 10) THIS IS THE BIGGIE… THE BOOK HAS 784 PAGES, WHILE THE SCAN ENDS ON SOMETHING LIKE PAGE 759.

Think about it, everyone. I have been convinced this is fake. There is nothing new, nothing that couldn't have been predicted or figured out from what we already know. Remember when JKR said she considered using a chapter that took place at the Malfoys' house? Now consider one of those supposed titles...gee, I wonder where THAT came from! Also, has anyone come by any new words? No! If this were HBP, and we hadn't read the book yet, we'd all be wondering what Horcruxes and Sectumsempra were, now wouldn't we? But there's nothing like that with this one, and you'd think we'd be learning about all sorts of new and unusual spells and objects. These titles are very generic and contain nothing questionable of that sort. Consider it. Honestly.

This is definitley a fake. Rowling always has a more indepth introduction to her characters at the beginning of each book. She would never say just "snape." It just isn't her style.

Another reason those chapters are fake is that is does not mettion them riding the dragon at all. That has to be a big part of the book the editor said that was his favourite part and its on the cover and they dont mention it at all.

to my dismay, someone posted the EPILOUGE on a myspace bulliten today. i was stupid enough to actually open it and tehre it was. pictures of the book pages. i quickly scrolled down to check if it was real and little sentences and characters were poppin out at me. i was soo mad. it ruined my dday. has anyone else seen this?!?!

This isn't real. J.K. Rowling would have wrote "Severus Snape" not just "Snape" because it is the beginning of the story. She has to introduce her characters in a way, and not just refer to them by their last name. If it was the second time mentioning Snape, then she could have used his last name only. But since it is the first time in the story, she would have wrote his name out fully [if that makes sense.]

The host of the pictures, Kaos-Krew, is a British-ran web-development "company." It's one guy doing all the work, judging by the description on the main page. If that's the case, there's no way he could've taken those pictures, because being based in London, he gets the British copy of the books, which would've had a different cover and no chapter pictures. This point is obviously moot if he's just hosting the pictures for somebody else, or because he stumbled across them himself, which is entirely likely.

The epilogue and that stuff probably isn't real. The stuff the staff posted might be, as they are not very informative sentences. Relax already. Everyone's excited but don't go to pieces over the tiniest things like these sentences from the Guardian. Jeez.
