Beware of spoilers (but not on MuggleNet)
Beware of spoilers (but not on MuggleNet) Now that we're just five days from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, plot spoilers that actually look legitimate are starting to leak online. For some people, it's been a ten-year wait for Book 7, and that could be so easily destroyed if we find out what will happen too early.

Therefore, be warned: there are few spoiler-safe sites on the net right now. However, MuggleNet guarantees you that spoilers will not appear on any of our pages.

On another note, today marks the two-year anniversary of Half-Blood Prince's release.

****NO SPOILERS**** WELLLL... i found some of those scans yesterday, and i read the epilogue. NOW... I also found the chapter list, annnd some snippets of text from the books. I did read them. I spoiled it for myself if the epilogue is true, but the one thing that does not match up are the number of pages the book contains, for the epilogue is 30 pages or so short of what the stated US book length is. HOWEVER, the US jacket cover can be seen around the book, and supposedly these were posted before the images of the cover were released... THEREFORE. I believe them to be true. everything fits in terms of formatting, and you can even see the text on the page behind... I showed it to my fiance's sister, who is a VERY VERY VERY big fan of the books (has met the cast of the movies and all) and although she didn't read the epilogue, she confirmed that the chapter names are in fact not fake, as the images she said (not knowing what the real chapter titles are called), the images are actual photos, and could not have been faked. Now i think that if you know the chapter titles, this book will ROCK. I am SOOOOOOOO in torture right now over what they mean, what i read about the chapters from where i got the images, ANNND just what exactly will happen that will cause the names of the chapters to come about. some of them are VERY intriguing!!!! makes me not wanna wait another 4 days!! :( cause I WANT IT NOW hahaa... oh and I saw OTP for the second time last night, but this time in IMAX 3D.... WOW..... they should make them all in 3D. SO much better seeing wands in your face, and Voldy scaring my fiance to death as he pops up during the duel unexpectedly!!!!!!.... DH please don't disappoint! I have not spoiled it for anyone I hope, and i hope that i sparked more interest in you all, as finding out this info made me REALLLYY wanna read the book more. And the epilogue (if true) isn't Horrible, nor is it GREAT... but a satisfactory way to end it, to me at least.

Everybody listen; THERE IS NO WAY Pbox 123 can be write. There is literally no way. Now Pbox, for someone who was sad to stumble onto those spoilers, it sure seems like a stupid way to make yourself feel better by traumatizing 'other' fans. * SPOILERS FROM PBox's post* ... ... ... OK guys, he claims to have "revealed the deaths". According to J.K. Rowling, there will be more then two. ... And on top of all that, goodness gracious!! He said Harry will live, but didn't say anything about Voldemort! So are we to assume that the two characters you listed are the only ones who will die? The death of Snape-- while possible-- is extremely unlikely to come from Voldemort. The accepted theory- which I won't post, by the way, really makes you wonder why someone would believe that. And Ron's? Good grief! It would do nothing-- NOTHING for the story. In an interview with JK Rowling, she was asked what Ron would do after Hogwarts. She said, "Assuming he lives, you mean? ... I'm not going to tell you. :D" So, I think it's a safe bet that those spoilers are FAKE. But seriously guys, I think this is my cue to stay off the boards. MuggleNet, would you please seriously consider disabling the comments for now?

Posted by pbox123 Jul 16th 2007

I DON'T KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY MORE DEATHS. ALL I KNOW IS THE DEATHS THAT I MENTIONED ARE 99% PERCENT GOING TO HAPPEN BECAUSE THE SOURCES I READ IT HAD THE SAME CHAPTER TITLES THAT WAS IN THE GUARDIAN WEBSITE. SO UNLESS THE MANY SOURCES ALL SIMULTANEOUSLY GUESSED THE SAME THING, ITS GOING TO HAPPEN GUYS. I'M SORRY.

Happy 2nd birthday, HBP!!! We'll always remember Dumbledore! My friend's baby cousin turns 2 the day after the DH release.

Posted by bEtHyBoP13 Jul 16th 2007

happy birthday HBP we love you!

Posted by soccerluver13 Jul 16th 2007

Yeah I'm refusing to read any of the comments til after Saturday. Ohhmygod I'm so excited. I've waited about 6 or 7 years for this. Ahh!

Posted by dean_thomas1027 Jul 16th 2007

MuggleNet shoul disable ALL COMMENTS until after the seventh book is out. Then there wont be any spoilers in the comments!!!!!!!!

Posted by luvstripes Jul 16th 2007

... So JHawk, you're saying according to the Epilogue you found online, some of what he said is accurate is some is not? Oh, and thanks for being spoiler-free about it, JHawk. I've been keeping up with everything J.K. Rowling said herself, so the fact you're not ruining it for me and the rest of us fans is greatly appreciated.

Posted by fredandgeorge34 Jul 16th 2007

I agree with what luvstripes says(about not ruining it 4 us), specially because u got spoiled from the epilogue (of it's true) and you're probably irritated and would spoil it on us just for that reason. But u didn't =)

Posted by HPisAmazinglyAwesome Jul 16th 2007

I'm glad that you, Mugglenet, will not post spoilers even though a fan might. Its an important time for all HP fans, and we should not spoil it. And its only 5 days away (I know Scary), and if we waited this long why not wait just a little bit longer. I just wanted to say thanks for being there for the last book/s and movies, mugglenet. P.S Happy/Harry two-year anniversary HBP ~8)

Posted by pbox123 Jul 16th 2007

JHAWK JUST E-MAILED ME. HE SAYS ONE OF THE DEATHS I POSTED WERE TRUE AND THE OTHER ONE IS FALSE. BUT I ASKED HIM NOT TO TELL ME WHICH ONE DIES. SO ITS ALL GOOD GUYS. ITS STILL OUT IN THE OPEN AS TO WHO DIES.

Posted by sexydeatheater389 Jul 16th 2007

i think we should all have a boycott of any site that might have spoilers on it and refuse to post them on muggleent....i mean there is only four more days left....we shouldnt ruin the excitement....you guys know you wont enjoy it as much if you know who dies and who doesnt.....its only 4 days...we can last

Posted by thediarywithin Jul 16th 2007

Thanks Mugglenet...

Posted by Greyknight Jul 16th 2007

5 days to go and the spoilers are all ready out , i am bloody worried someones going to ruin it all for me . some of my lesser friends will have no qualms about telling me the ending of the book just as a joke.

Posted by SiriusLoveGirl Jul 16th 2007

Hooray, it seems my (and probably many emails) worked! Thanks for reassuring me. I'm gonna stay away from the comments from now on, though.

Posted by irinuca Jul 16th 2007

GREAT IDEA, MUGGLENET, I LIKE IT A LOT....THANKS YOU

Posted by pdoyle60 Jul 16th 2007

There are some big hints out there, I personally have seen pictures, readable pages of the chapter titles and the last few pages of the book on a website, which i beleive are real!! Dont worry i will not be post any info from those pages or links to those pages here! I would not reck the end of the book for anybody!!! Personally i am glad mugglenet has a no spoiler policy!!!!

Posted by MuggleMage Jul 16th 2007

I love you Mugglenet, thanks for trying to keep spoilers off your website! *hugs*

Posted by Sincerely_S Jul 16th 2007

Honestly I haven't been up to date much about Harry Potter world this summer....I dunno why, but it gives me an advantage! I don't have to be online looking around at Harry Potter stuff and then accidentally getting spoiled. I absolutely do not want to spoiled for Book 7 whatsoever. Agreed it has been long years of waiting.....

Posted by JHawk Jul 16th 2007

Yes i will definately NOT ruin it for anyone. a few days before HBP came out, my cousin at work, who knows NOTHING about harry potter, joked with me about "Ganbledorf". she said "i heard he dies.... i was like NO thats STUPID, and then the book comes out, and lo and behold. her info was correct. I repeat SHE KNOWS NOTHING about HP. she did come with me last ngiht to see OTP again, but thats cause I dragged her. SOOOOO i dont want that to happen to anyone else.

Posted by thisandthat Jul 16th 2007

There was a plasticbox trolling another site, putting up "spoilers" and such, who finally admitted he was a fraud after people caught on to his stupidity. pbox123 may or may not be that person, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

Posted by jonno2k8 Jul 16th 2007

can i just say mugglenet thats smart

Posted by starlightsuprise Jul 16th 2007

Oh - I can't believe its been 2 years since Half-Blood Prince. I still remember how someone got caught readinf Order of the Phoenix under the table in class when it first came out. I really really want to read Potter and find otu what happens but I'm so exicted for the 21st. Only four days away - I never thought I'd actually be able to say that. Deathly Hallows only 4 days away. Its temepting to go on spoiler, like you really want to flick to teh end of the book but know you can't bring yourself to ruin it.

Posted by luvstripes Jul 16th 2007

Well guys, what PBox said is good news. Well, kind of-- out of the two deaths mentioned, I am positive of which one is more likely. :( At least the less... astute fans will not be spoiled. I think what JHawk found is legit, but in the small case it isn't, nobody's been spoiled. At all. ... So I'm taking this lucky break as my cue to leave MuggleNet until the night of the 21st, when I am finished reading Deathly Hallows...

Posted by OhWicked1 Jul 16th 2007

Thank you mugglenet for not spoiling it for us fans! And happy birthday HBP! Wow, 2 whole years...

Posted by annesmith Jul 16th 2007

yh i know what you mean... im sooo tempted to try and find out everything i possibly can but i keep reminding myself how disappointed i was when i found out about dumbledore... im trying really hard to stay away from the spoilers...only a couple more days....

Posted by JHawk Jul 16th 2007

luvstripes, you've got the right idea, although i dont think ima stop coming on here.. I think i will just stop the spoilers from affecting me. UNLESS someone HAS the book in COMPLETE posted online (i AM lining up and getting the book friday midnight) I will read it online first, and then in person friday night, and then listen to the audiobook shortly thereafter. BUT i KNOW that noone will be stupid enough to post the ENTIRE book online this early, SO friday night it is!!! :)

Posted by fell4snape Jul 16th 2007

...and that is why you, Mugglenet, rock, and I shall only be referring to this site for HP news until...Friday!!! On which my plans are simply to sleep all day long, get up, put on my Snape shirt, head out to Borders and obtain my copy of DH and....go home and just READ until I'm finished. x3 This is the most exciting day of the year!!!!

Posted by McMusgrave Jul 16th 2007

"a few yards' is an english saying. im very english and i use it all the time. hurumph. i hate it when americans deem what is english and what isnt. if it was shown on the documentary, then i doubt its fake. it may have changed. unlessjkr wrote a fake opening herself, so that when it was leaked, this would be leaked. hummmmmmm

Posted by annesmith Jul 16th 2007

im from england and i never say a few yards and nor does anyone i know. we wouldnt even say a few gardens down... we say a couple houses down.

Posted by Holly_Granger_Weasly Jul 16th 2007

who randomly says "im very english" on a harry potter page? no one cares. i personally love the english- but where the hell did that comment come out of ?

Posted by luvstripes Jul 16th 2007

Well JHawk, I wasn't planning on posting anymore, but I'm absolutely horrible about keeping myself from looking at Mugglenet posted spoilers, info given by JKR, etc. I do plan on coming back on the site. I do NOT plan on reading any comments. I agree it would be a bit drastic to stay off the site completely, especially when MuggleNet wouldn't post any major spoilers. So thanks again, and I look forward to discussing the book with everybody afterwards.

Posted by SteffieSnape Jul 16th 2007

Why isn't Mugglenet disabling the comments?!! This is getting ridiculous! I was scrolling down to leave this comment and I saw pbox or whoevers stupid comment! I hope for heaven's sake it isn't true and if it is I'm going to be sooooooooo mad!! I read something similar to that yesterday in another spoiler and now I'm beyond annoyed and irritated. I'm furious and a little worried. I can't believe that almost half the book has leaked onto the internet, or so people are saying. From what I've seen yesterday, I wouldn't be surprised! Notice it all started when those librarians had permission to open the boxes early. How can the publishers be so naive? It's going to ruin everything and I'm considering not coming on Mugglenet at all until I've finished reading the book unless they disable the comments. I'm so angry with these losers who have nothing better to do than ruin this for everyone. Get a life! ::storms out of room::

Posted by Ashes1327 Jul 16th 2007

Yeah, I have already been spoiled for DH (possibly) I was sent a few links to what I thought were the chapter titles, which I really don't mind being spoiled about, and they turned out to be scans of the epilogue. I really hope it was a fake because it was a bit disappointing. If it was real then I at least know who lives through DH, making the book a bit less exciting. Thanks MN for not allowing spoilers on here. My stomach dropped and I almost cried when I opened that link. I was spoiled for HBP in the MN chatrooms cause someone went around posting in very large print SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE! I actually did cry when that happened. The person was banned almost instantly but the damage had been done. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let that epilogue be fake. I like the chapter titles though, they just add more intrigue to the hopefully unknown plot-line. YAY 4 MORE DAYS!!! And, I am flying to IL on Thurday, which is fitting because that's where it all started for me. I lived there when I bought the first book, it's kinda fitting huh? AHHHHHH 4 DAYS!! I kinda grew up with the series, it's almost like the end of the book marks the end of my childhood, even though I'm legally considered an adult already, this just kinda means I have to grow up and get a real job now haha, it's the end of an ERA! For all HP fans *tear tear* Now I am off to pack and throw my computer out the window so I won't be spoiled even further. GOOD LUCK HP FANS!!

Posted by Slytherin15 Jul 16th 2007

oooooooo scary i dont want any spoilers

Posted by Diggoryboy Jul 16th 2007

Well I'm glad this site has Spoiler free protection!

Posted by annesmith Jul 16th 2007

can someone please email me the chapter titles (NOTHING ELSE) to the_bouny_one@hotmail.com also if anyone else wants to chat or discuss theories then feel free to email me at the same address...

Posted by Gingingerbread Jul 16th 2007

Yeah Right.... Spoiler free..... Veritaserum IS a spoiler free web, but Mugglenet.... No, definetly no. One of the recent news was a big spoiler of the begining! And now they are saying that they will not do it anymore..... I use this page because I like to see the spoilers and the wonderings, Mugglenet has never been a spoiler free website.

Posted by BetZZZlovesHarry Jul 16th 2007

thank you mugglenet...i really hate spoilers along w/ everyone else! HAPPY B-DAY HBP!!! wow 2 years already............

Posted by cobra_maxwell Jul 16th 2007

Oh woot! They posted it! xD I saw the chapter titles from the original page yesterday, but didn't read anything else. They definitely look legitimate, so I emailed it in. Thanks for posting Mugglenet! And Happy Birthday Half Blood Prince!

Posted by annesmith Jul 16th 2007

cobra_maxwell can you email me the titles to the_bouncy_one@hotmail.co m thanks

Posted by Witchy_Woman Jul 16th 2007

Mugglenet has always been so adament about the no-spoiler policy. I really appreciate that. I've been waiting for this book for a very very very long time. I don't want it to be ruined for me. Thanks Guys!!!

Posted by JHawk Jul 16th 2007

yeah my curiousity always gets the best of me, hence why i spoiled it for myself reading the epilogue, but even that doesnt give away neaarly as much as i thought it would. I read a Fanfic the other day and the last paragraph was about the dursleys being killed late in life, and that their only surviving son, Dudley was in shock, confuddled, i can't remember, but i thought that would be AWESOME to end HP like that, for JKR did say that someone will use magic, who is not a squib. SO i think that fanfic ending was kinda cool. BUT b/c its a fanfic i know its wrong and that the real ending will be how JKR wants it to be. I think that letting others take on the afterlives of the people that survive the book will be kinda cool, but I HOPE that JKR will continue writing books in the setting of Hogwarts, like the prehistory of the 4 founders or magicians not from england but say from China or Japan or you know something different. i think her writing is good, and that stopping the HP series forever is such a wasted gift and story. fine a break for a few years, but compltely.... please say no. :( DH... can't wait.

Posted by maddogdelta Jul 16th 2007

**** BAD JOKE WARNING!!!***** I've heard from a very reliable source that Book 7 will deal with some Hallows, and they may be deathly... Plus, there is somebody named Harry in the book. **** END BAD JOKE ***
