Beware of spoilers (but not on MuggleNet)
Now that we're just five days from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, plot spoilers that actually look legitimate are starting to leak online. For some people, it's been a ten-year wait for Book 7, and that could be so easily destroyed if we find out what will happen too early. Therefore, be warned: there are few spoiler-safe sites on the net right now. However, MuggleNet guarantees you that spoilers will not appear on any of our pages.
On another note, today marks the two-year anniversary of Half-Blood Prince's release.

I read the epilogue alone, for I knew that it couldn't have anything to do with the plot whatsoever. I couldn't help it anymore. I HAD to know the fate of two characters. I don't like bad surprises. I'd rather have no surprise than a bad surprise. I know, it's a crappy line of thought, but I'll outgrow it, I'm sure. Just not with Harry Potter.
Lawrence- the sun is starting to pick up on it, and so are some ppl here in vancouver go to google type in .....................deat hly hallows online..............and then click on some of the headlines....guys i dont want this to be real either...if it is a hoax...ill be jumping up and down with glee
it's funny, i went to my facebook, and this guy on a spoiler free thing said one of the "leaks" and then he said something that totally slapped it away... see, i really don't think half of what is going around is true...but i am not going to find out.....but hopefully some are, b/c some are just plain stupid..
hey cheesecakeians apparently Jo love cheesecake too this is what she said on the leaky cauldron To Ryan- If Potter fans were Every Flavor Beans, you would be cheesecake (who doesn’t love cheesecake?) Magically Yours, ~ Jo
I hope what is on the internet is real, because so far what I have read it is great. It is my favorite Harry Potter book. Also, the reason why I am reading the leaked pages is because what is difference between reading it now and Staurday. The book will be the same then as it is now . It isn't hurting anyone because I am not going to spoil anything that would ruin the experience for someone. I am still going to buy the book Saturday. Plus to those saying it is fake, the chapter art is there and everything and if that art was faked then the person who faked it must be Mary Grand Pre's twin because the style and everything is exactly the same. No one would go through this much trouble in creating a fake. This is the real thing. It is a library book that was scanned. The cover has platic around it the way library hard backs do. The spine of the book is goldish/yellow and the rest of the outside is an olive green.
happy b-day HBP! funny i just finished re-reading it today!!!! i hate spoilers
I really hope no authentic spoilers surface; I have terrible self-control. I've already looked at page with the claims "pbox123" posted (which I believe to be false). I'm going to have enough trouble trying not to flip to the end of the book to see who dies on Saturday. darn my curious, knowledge-thirsting personality.
I hate spoilers! but has anyone heard of this Scar theory: SCAR theory S-SIRIUS C-CEDRIC A-ALBUS DUMBLEDORE R-??????????? who could it be? RON WEASLEY RUBEUS HAGRID REMUS LUPIN
I think a lot of people here just don't wanna believe that it's true. They find it "cheesy" and "not JKR." and this and that, those that read the epilogue and stuff. And so, they dismiss it as fake or photoshopped, because they really wanna believe JKR will give them an ending that ALL will love, and a lot of the fans REALLY WANT THIS TO BE THE BEST BOOK, JUST AS JKR FELT. She said it herself. She loved DH the best, but some will love the book, some will hate the book. She never specified why. Maybe because of the deaths, maybe cause of the length, or maybe because of some of the ways she's decided to resolve things. I've already decided it's true; it's a real picture of the real book, held in a real human being's hands. First thing I'm gonna do is check the epilogue's final two sentences. Maybe not even that. I'll check the chapter titles. If it is exactly the same, it's real. And TBQH, I was really easy to please with this ending. I was personally satisfied with the answer to the question that was bothering me for so long.
i think the best thing is if u see earlier spoilers, just think, they might be true or false, and don't try to search for the leaked copy.... and if u do, well, i did it with the last, and i was mad...but the book was still great...just not the excitement i wanted....
SKK, Is the epilogue that was posted online earlier this morning considered legit or fake at the moment because there is a news story online (right now) showing pictures of a leaked copy of Deathly Hallows that's different from the epilogue pages that were posted this morning?
oh, and i would love the last book even if the character i loved died, and trust me, his name was leaked on here....but i just don't care to spoil MY suprise, i don't care if any of u read them, as long as u don't push them on others.... no offense to anyone...
Yikes, definitely beware. I was in a forum in a topic of my own and someone posted what seemed to be a picture from the book and (someone who I know I have a soft spot for) apparently dies. Now I didn't believe the DUmbledore one when it was posted a few days prior to HBP release. I don't know if I should believe this or not but I know I felt like crying. So watch yourselves in forums!
I have read so many different spoilers all saying completly different things and I'm so confused. Even this so called 'epilogue' (which is a bit dissapointing if it's real) contradicts what many people are saying is in the actual scans of the book. IT ALL CRAZY, I TELLS YA! CRAZY! LOL
sadly ive come across some spoilers that seem reallyyy accurate. i hate how people think its fun to spoil it. oh well...at least i dont know all the details, ill have some surprises at least:) and im crossing my fingers that the spoilers are fake.
moi aussi
Hi everyone, I was just navigating thru a webpage, famouse for downloads and I found a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, it is hard to read because the pages are photos taken to the book, but I can say it is real, it even shows the hole book. I prefere to wait to read it on my Deluxe copy I already pre-order, hope the book story is not spoiled on the net. But just to say it is a terrible thing, even with all the security there was, the book is already on the net!!! Sincerly, Fl or Silva (Mexico)
whatever happens though, the book is gonna be BIG when it comes out in 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I read the epilogue and there's a part of it that definitely bothers me. How can a certain person become Headmaster of Hogwarts? Or maybe I read that wrong.
peroxwhy_gen, please no spoils or even little bits......please!!!!
that's the thing the epilogue goes against what people (who claim to have read the book) are saying. I solemly swear i will never spoil--cross my heart X
I'm not trying to spoil. I don't see how that could be spoiling. o_O I've even warned to be wary. But yes, the epi goes against what I saw as well.
Oh my! The ENTIRE BOOK has leaked on to the internet. I think that's a literary first.
I retract my first statement; TWO-THIRDS of the BOOK has leaked on to the internet!
i love how it's a certain group of people trying force that it is real. it could be, but i highly, highly doubt it. as i mentioned earlier, this season's lost finale got completely spoiled for me because idiots want to ruin the fun for everyone else. i think people need to realize that people posting spoilers up here aren't doing it accidently. and the people reposting spoilers someone else has posted... those people are just stupid. again, i don't think any of it is real. then again, i haven't seen any of these 'spoilers', so i'm not really in a position to judge. one thing to keep in mind-- it's easy to forge things. and to those of you saying that no one would waste their time doing all this work to make people think it's spoiled. well, conversely, you can say no one would waste their time copying every page out of the book. knowing how sick some people in this world are, trust me, there is a much greater possibility of someone spending the past 2 years trying to make the perfect replica of this book than there is of someone putting the whole book online less than a week before it's released. another thing-- legal issues. if it was real, it would have been offline within an hour of it being put up. given all the security they've had keeping this book from leaking, i would bet my life they have a group of people searching online to see if it gets leaked. and all of the people who have access to the books are under strict contracts, and if they break them (and it's easy to find out who did them), they'd be in deep s***. and 4chan is the biggest crap site on the internet. if that's where the 'spoilers' are up, i wouldn't think twice of them
ackermaniv. It actually wouldn't surprise me if this was real and they haven't pulled it, pulling it would be the best way to ensure we know it's authenticity, which could mean less booksales for the publishers considering how it's already been posted that they are losing money with all the special deals on preordering the book. Some people would take them pulling it down as confirmation that they've already read the book, and therefore some, not all, but some HP fans wouldn't go buy it knowing they've already read it.
My favorite theory so far is that this is some ploy by the publishing company to throw us off the scent of real spoilers. I mean JKR did say she'd go to extreme measures to avoid spoiling this book, then one week prior to release the publishers allow librarians to open and catalogue the books? hmm... good way to keep spoilers offline bloomsbury... nice call scholastic.
Once something is released onto the internet, it propagates so rapidly. People send it to each other on instant messaging networks and e-mail providers. People upload it to the range of file hosting websites (MegaUpload,YouSendIt, etc.) and then post the links on message boards. People host it on their own websites. It gets put on YouTube and other video hosting services. Finally, there are the P2P networks (LimeWire, Kazaa, etc.). Once something leaks on to the internet, it is an unstoppable beast. I think this thing might blow up in the morning because Scholastic probably doesn't have a lot experience fighting the spread of files on the internet.
The ENTIRE BOOK is now on the net. This is really sick. We're 4 days away and the end of the Harry Potter series is out for the general public's viewing pleasure, with chapter art to boot.
Are these actually real?? http://img166.i mageshack.us/img166/139/8 8030162vy2.jpg http://im g98.imageshack.us/img98/8 273/78453390xo2.jpg http ://img166.imageshack.us/i mg166/9415/46370600jy2.jp g http://img47.imageshac k.us/img47/6200/85393962g n3.jpg
Accept it everyone the book is leaked. Stop with the denial.
sad thing is people are still getting illegal copes (atleast around me) and know the whole book by now. people keep trying to tell me stuff and i wont let them. however, this one guy is saying hes going to the release at barnes and noble by me to tell everyone the ending. people are heartless and lame. ive been waiting this since the VERY beginning
go to here: http://ca.geocities.com/t hephilosopherstonetarot/ and scroll down to "Tarot Minor Arcana" it's definitely not a coincidence.
avadapotter that link does not work
Can someone post the leaked version of Deathly Hallows?? If that's possible :D.
okay so im not saying that i am 100% correct, but here's the deal. many of the spoilers going around ARE correct.. the ones that are correct are the ones that are the pictures taken of the pages. including the chapter art, etc. those pictures are taken of a library edition (which if you remember is allowed to be taken out of the boxes only for cataloguing). you can tell because the cover has plastic around it and has tape on it like all library books do. clearly someone has taken the liberty of photographing AT LEAST 2/3 of the book. i havent read any of the spoilers except the first page of the book. i would caution anyone who doesn't want to be spoiled to stay off the internet now because this stuff is real. however, there has been a certain number of people who have read the epilogue who think it is probably not real... the so called epilogue was put online separately and before the first 2/3 of the book was and by a different person. the epilogue may in fact be fake. again im not 100% correct on this.. but that's whats going on.
never mind it does work but what is the point? DO2the3JEW I have an idea of what you can do listen to music really loud most of the time at barnes and noble that way when someone yells out the ending you wont hear it..
i hate people trying to spoil the fun i mean, just because that kind of people is better that does not mean we all have to pay the consecuencess, just 4 days to go. im dying to read DH
i spoiled myself anyway i didnt really like the epiloge oh well. icant believe the book has been hcked into they had sch tight security. they hould have thought bout it dont keep a book everybody wants on a computer some people are desperate and now how to hack into that type of stuff maybe for next time. wait there wont be a next time i cant believe it is ending 4 days 27 min and 32 seconds
in my last coment i mean bitter not better it was a typo
RKRK1313 can you please give me the website that has the leaked version of DH, or the download link or whatever, to this email address. baraa_rulz@hotmail.com, greatly appreciate it dude, thx!
Or post the link here.
to read the book you have to download the photos. however there are certain people who have put some of these photos on the internet. once again though, i have only read the first page, because i dont want to be spoiled. and no i will not tell you where to download it or give you any links. the book was meant to be read on the 21st. I've had enough of this, people propagating the problem ruining it for other people, posting the deaths in comments, someone even said that they are now going to go to a release party and yell the ending. so no, i will not take part in this. if you were a true harry potter fan, you wouldn't want the links anyway.
can you send me the said 'Epilogue'? I have read the fake Deathly Hallows already and i dont mind being spoiled.. my mind is too mature for a 17-year old boy.. spoilers dont affect me at all.. they just excite me.. hehe please send me the link or the file depicting the epilogue.. markdaveabrea @ yahoo . com.. thanks
blitz626... if you are talking to me, then your answer is no. besides i dont know where to download it, so i don't know why people are asking me. ive just seen pictures... only one of which ive actually read which is the first page of the book. it probably is not hard to find where to download it or where to find the rest of the pictures online.. just look at every other freakin comment on mugglenet and you will find links and spoilers galore. i do happen to know the links to the epilogue but i did not however look at them... and I won't post them either as i have said before.
Yeah I saw a picture that shows all the chapter title and as seperate picture that shows chapter sevens header picture (U.s version) :(, they are authentic which is why I'm sad, i kinda regret seeing them now BUT luckily the chapter titles didnt spoil it much, because well titles arent meant to spoil the chapter for you before you read it, but judging by some of the titles I can already tell thats we've got one hell of a story in our hands, some titles (especially chapter seven, look out for that one) look so dam interesting ahh I can't wait, I live in new zealand and the book comes out at 11.01 am Saturday since we're 11 hours ahead of GMT, this means there will be loooong queues at the book stores lol :(
oh i see.. thanks but i already found the site.. and there are mor*ns there who wants to spoil everything for us HP fans.. darn those guys.. they make it their mission to ruin our reading experience...and i think they got the real book... darn.. there's a 50:50 chance that its fake though.. hope its fake.. ^___^
can someone email me the link to the epilogue to the_bouncy_one@hotmail.co m thanks
My brother has a list of spoilers and is threatening to tell them to me unless I'm being really nice to him and giving him money this week. Bastard. Alth ough I can't help but think that he made them up and is just using them as a ploy for me to give him money, I don't want to risk it.
I've read the Epilogue (and yes, I painstakingly found it and clicked it myself, so I'm not complaining), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. When it comes to spoilers, I enjoy and am excited by 'big picture' spoilers. However, 'detail spoilers' are what psst me off. (This doesn't hold true for murder mysteries, obviously). I'm gonna have to get off the internet on the 21st, though, and stay off for a week. I won't get my copy of the new book until a WEEK after it comes out--hopefully not more than that. My mother is mailing it to me from the US. She's getting it delivered from Amazon.com on the very day it comes out! :-)
