Beware of spoilers (but not on MuggleNet)
Now that we're just five days from the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, plot spoilers that actually look legitimate are starting to leak online. For some people, it's been a ten-year wait for Book 7, and that could be so easily destroyed if we find out what will happen too early. Therefore, be warned: there are few spoiler-safe sites on the net right now. However, MuggleNet guarantees you that spoilers will not appear on any of our pages.
On another note, today marks the two-year anniversary of Half-Blood Prince's release.

Hey Blitz can you give me the link to that website? Email to this address please. baraa_rulz@hotmail.com, thx a bunch
I NEED TO ASK A QUESTION, SO PLEASEDONT LOOK IF YOU DONT WANT TO BE SPOILED, FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE READ THE EPILOGUE, THAT WAS SCANNED - THE 19 YEARS LATER THING, IS IT REAL? THANKS
Yeah it is.
Well i have read the SUPPOSED real epilogue and i'de be happy if it where true, but i don't reckon it will be. I haven't been able to resist the spoilers and i come on line to find more. Some of them are rubbish and others you think could actually happen. However we are not going to no for sure which are true and which arn't until the 21st and i say roll o saterday.
I'm still slightly skeptical over the leaked book. Since when has Hermione said 'Oh darn!'? Jo would have her saying 'Oh no!' normally. Otherwise I have to believe it. The plot is believable.
ok ppl heres the link and BTW theyre NOT spoilers so read and enjoy hxxp://www.zendurl.co m/hallows/ replace xx with tt in the link
Don't believe everything. The 'spoilers' with whole text passages I've read are so pathetic I can't believe people dare pass them off as the real thing. All this stuff is just made up by a couple of idiots. The same as last time. It wasn't too hard to guess that Dumbledore would die, honestly. So even if some parts of the 'spoilers' turn out to be true, I'd bet they were just lucky guesses.
Im lucky, nothing has yet been spoiled for me but from now im going into mugglenet comments lockdown to ensure it stays like this and I advise EVERYONE to do the same. Enjoy the book!
"MuggleNet: King of Spoilers" is not a title to be proud of.
I'm sorry, but that's a load of bollox. Did not mugglenet post a potential opening paragraph for DH just a couple of days ago. It's a load of crap to say they are spoiler-free. I'm all for saying, 'so-and-so reckons they have the opening paragraph. go to this site if you want to check it out' but don't post it on mugglenet. Or don't claim to be spoiler-free. I still love mugglenet but I just think this is a little... hypocritical seems a bit harsh but perhaps it just hasn't been thoroughly thought out.
Everyone here is being rediculous. The MuggleNet staff clearly states BEFORE you scroll down that doing so is at your own risk of spoilers. BIG RED LETTERS. Not sure if you guys missed them or not. Everyone here getting their panties all knotted up are reading and posting on their own. So quit complaining. There is nothing to be ashamed of on MuggleNet's part. It's not up to them whether or not some one wants to spoil the book for people in a place they only have so much control. They arn't holding our hands. The best they can do is warn you - WHICH THEY DID. All MuggleNet is doing but NOT banning comments is leaving this place open for people that DO want to comment and by the sheer amount of comments I'm sure many of you do. Quit with the hallow threats of hermitting yourself (because you wouldn't be on the computer if you were) and finger wagging at the MN staff. This site wouldn't even been here for you to comment on if it wasn't for them.
"I'm still slightly skeptical over the leaked book. Since when has Hermione said 'Oh darn!'? Jo would have her saying 'Oh no!' normally. Otherwise I have to believe it. The plot is believable." Hermione says "Oh my God!" in HBP. "Oh darn," at her age, is believable, I think. She's not exactly trying to seem so prim and proper anymore, I wager, what with a little thing called HER LIFE AND ALL SHE HOLDS DEAR at stake, I doubt I'd have time for insecurities. : /
Warning: spoilers which can spoil you.. (guess u figured it out..) http://www. zendurl . com/hallows/ spoilers for excited HP fans..
Yeeeeeeeeeeaaah, that link lies IMO.
thats link dont even work
So far no response from the publishers or bloomsbury regarding the leak but several torrents have been taken down and some digg stories censored. All indications lead to the conclusion that it is real. Start reading the book from the beginning here: http://bayimg.com/album/M AaaHaAAb
Well, if you really want to see for yourself here's the first page of the Epilogue (Major spoilers obviously): http:// i15.tinypic.com /6f653ps.jpg Take out the spaces.
I'm not trusting any spoilers until the book actually comes out. I've actually seen 2 different sets of chapter titles (both sets apparently scanned or photographed from the supposed actual book) and it wouldn't suprise me if both sets were false. I think Jo herself is behind all this and if so, I have to say that she is a genius.
I've downloaded all the snans BurntFlower posted, do y'all reckon they're real? If anyone's got scans of the same chapters of the book from a different source, post them so we wan see if they're fake (if they're different), or not...
Rayvontae, thats what i think, cause these library books, usually aren't put into library's until a month after the book was released and i should know, as i had friends who worked at the library, and JK Rowling said she would go to extreme measures to keep the book a secret...or the ending and deaths.....plus i read an article on yahoo.com that said they doubt any real leaks have occurred.....
I mean, those scans look extremely real, and rather Rowling-ish. Do you have the link to that Yahoo article? God, I just can't resist myself...
well, i just went to news, and then they had it under harry potter....but i mean, people might have books that jk could've mixed up, not rewritten, but just pages jumbled up....i mean, don't u think it is weird their isn't a key source of the scans, i mean, one reliable internet source...that makes me not believe this, and the fact the if jk didn't mess it up, these people who scaned it could be just mixing stuff up, and crap like that.....i mean, my brothers are computer geniuses and they always find out what will happen, but even they are weary to believe this stuff, and plus the fact that it isn't the day of the release...so who knows if people are just trying to make us believe this.....and most people are falling for it..... but even if these are REAL, i think it sux that they leaked 2/3 of the book thinking it'll ruin the book release..b/c people will just go and find out if it was really true.... to me, this is just a bit funny, and i am not going to find out if it is all true...
I can't believe it. I thought it would be safe to read the comments on the no spoilers thread. Guess I underestimated what some people are willing to do just to feel powerful. Talk about the dark arts. Thanks pbbox, or whatever your name is. Get a therapist, ok?
I get your point, but just look at this http://bay img.com/ mAdEKAAbP (remove the spaces). IT'S NOT A SPOILER, IT'S THE DEDICATION OF THE BOOK. It even sounds like her and it really touch me =(.
"I mean, those scans look extremely real, and rather Rowling-ish. Do you have the link to that Yahoo article? God, I just can't resist myself..." They not only look Rowling-ish, but they READ Rowling-ish. I read the Wedding chapter. Everything reads as JKR would have written. What fan, what WRITER, could ever achieve such imitation? I have no doubt in my mind this is legitimate.
I'll just get started reading the whole thing because I'm bored and so, if it is indeed real, I would be ahead of most people when I get the book, and thus finish if faster.
I think that I might have seen a genuine spoiler!!!!! I'm so upset!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was stupid of me...I was planning to be like "haha this is stupid" but at the end they had pictures of pages in the book!! Unless they're really good at photoshopping or whatever.... I'M SO UPSET!!!!!
The reason I don't believe Jo is fooling us is because it's just way too much work. I mean, is the ending to Harry Potter the best thing since the creation of the universe? Is it really THAT awesome, that it merits writing two versions of the book, with different spoilers, just to throw the fans off? Is the ending THAT amazing? I don't think so, personally. I do however think, there are loads of English speaking countries. And even more libraries within them, with even more people than that working on cataloging. There will always be the one or two rotten seeds that manages to dupe the system. Maybe you don't have to go Metal Gear Potter on their asses (cause man, I saw that last video of them printing the books.) to get your hands on one. Maybe a connection is all it takes.
People, it's definitely real, trust me on this. So don't look at the scans if you don't want to be spoiled.
Exactly, I totally agree with SnapeKillsKira. Plus, the epilogue (from the scans) is like the perfect ending for the series. Almost made me cry. (and Iw as right about a certain person throughout the 7 books hehe)
It's real, although Jo has changed her writing style a little, and some of it seems rushed compared with HBP. She has Hermione saying 'darn!' which doesn't seem normal to me (drunk men wolf-whistling her because she's still in her dress also seems a little suspect, but it's still pretty funny), and there are quite a few typos. The plot seems very real though. Hedwig biting it will make some people sad (including me, you just feel sorry for Harry losing the only constant friend in his life, even if she was an animal). That whole chapter with the flying DE/Volde attack is excellent! If Jo didn't write it then kudos to whoever did because it's one of the best action parts in any book. It will look AMAZING onscreen in the DH movie. Of course, it could be fake...but I don't think so somehow. The stuff with the symbol and Xenophilius Lovegood feels so much like Jo. Surely no-one else would come up with that.
The epilogue, IMO, served its purpose. I was right about the characters, and that was good enough for me. To add to my previous post, I also really think it's easier for me to believe someone got their hands on the real book and took pictures of it than it is for me to believe there is some fan out there that is SO HARDCORE that they can write in a style exactly like JKR's, draw in a style exactly like Mary GrandPre's, and on top of that, has the money, time, and resources to print a book, images, dedications, copyrights, bios, jackets, etc, in the exact same manner as the US version of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Especially in such a short time frame.
SnapeKillsKira, I understand what you're saying. It would be too much work for Jo herself to write more than one version of the book. BUT, what if she selected 2 or 3 other people write their own version of the book and had the publishers just publish a few copies of these fake stories to throw people off? People are saying that the stuff they see looks like a fanfic. It just might be one afterall with a Deathly Hallows cover on it.
"SnapeKillsKira, I understand what you're saying. It would be too much work for Jo herself to write more than one version of the book. People are saying that the stuff they see looks like a fanfic. It just might be one afterall with a Deathly Hallows cover on it." Hmm....I dunno.... 1) If they were only "a few" of these 'fanfics' printed, what are the chances that the perpetrators have fake ones instead of real ones? Very small. They are indeed packaged in the exact manner as the real thing. 2) If they printed many copies of these 'fanfics' then there would be chaos. WE'RE supposed to be the ones getting this story in the end, as consumers spending our money. Some would get real books and others would get fakes? There'd be EVEN MORE spoilage that way, more confusion, and all. Just imagine me saying to a friend "OOOH DID YOU LIKE THE PART WHERE _______?" and they going "HUH? NOO, ___________ DIED, DON'T YOU KNOW?" Heads would roll, figuratively and in some cases literally. 3) Again, far too much effort. Is this book really the end of literature as we know it? To merit such measures of security? And how many fanfics do you read that are THAT close to JKR? Even if she hand picked them, this style is just TOO similar to JKR to be anyone but her.
SnapeKillsKira, the perpetrators may actually be people who work for the publishers and are deliberately throwing misinformation out there. It could be that they have the few (and i mean few) fake copies and they're happily taking pictures of the book and making scans of the book and posting it on the internet. It wouldn't take that much effort to do this. I may be wrong and that may be the actual copy of the book, but I know I saw another set of chapter titles when someone else called themselves taking a picture of the book. Maybe it was photoshop. This is too crazy but it is fun though!
^ Precisely! It's such a mystery that I honestly don't feel like I've been spoiled, even if I do believe the copies are real. This is pretty fun stuff to unravel and will tie me over till I know the truth for sure. :)
To anyone saying this is something the publishers threw out there to throw us off, if they did do that then that is beyond stupidity and is a major waste of money. J.K. Rowling would not do that. This is the real deal. Hedwig getting killed is definitely something I didn't expect. I mean it makes since that J.K. Rowling would kill her, because now Hary doesn't have to take care of her. Also, the character who gets killed in chapter 5 "Fallen Warrior" was not someone I had even thought of her killing off especially that early in the book. I thought he would be one of the people who would really kick butt in this book. Mundungus makes a return, and is as cowardly as ever. Hagrid's motorcycle is back. You find out where Olivander went. Dobby is back. There is a new Headmaster, and it isn't McCgonagal (SP). Who it is is going to psst off a lot of people and mean bad things for Hogwarts and it's students safety. This book is so cool.
it's been just 2 years? 2 VERY LOOONG years then. seems to me like i've been waiting forever!
Mirdala, don't mention the plot of that in here because that may be the actual plot! I've heard about the stuff you written about and people are saying that it's good writing and it's a good story. But, if that turns out to be the wrong story, I am going to wake the neighborhood howling with laughter. Just think, all these people reading that stuff online, swearing up and down that they've read the final book and the actual book turns out to have a completely different story in it! That is going to make my weekend.
Rayvontae 23, what I have scene isn't scans of the book it is actual pictures of the entire book. I am not reading this stuff online. I am reading the actual pictures of the pages of book that are on my computer. If you saw these pictures you would know it is real, because know one is going to write and actually have a fake story printed, bound, dedicated, illustrated, covered, indexed, and actually have it catalogued at a library. This copy is a catalogued library copy. Don't say it isn't real unless you have seen the pictures like me and the other people on here.
One mystery not cleared up, the one site says that the epilogue was done as a newspaper article, but the scanned epilogue everyone is talking about is a narrative. So, maybe the book part is real and the epilogue fake? Plus the scanned book doesn't have some details mentioned on that Hallows webpage and Ron does NOT die. So, what gives? Any ideas good folk?
if they're fake... then someone can fake GrandPre's artwork too.
I've gotta say, this book seems mostly legit. But it isn't like Rowling's style at all. Plus I've read some things that contradict what others have said about this copy of the book. And the plot is only half believable. Plus there are a few extremely minor details that do happen to go against what has been said in previous books and interviews with Rowling, but the only one off the top of my head is that it says that Harry had read Hogwarts: A History
Happy anniversary Half-Blood Prince! (I LOVED that book!) TOP 1O? I totally agree about the spoilers. I hate it when people post them. I want to find out whats going to happen in the 7th book by reading the whole book. Besides i dont believe most of those things anyway unless J.K. says them. Peace, Happy 2d year anniversary Half-Blood Prince!!!!!!!!!! :-)
Also, if you go to http://www. zendurl . com/hallows/ and compare the image they have of chapter 16 with the book scans that are being downloaded, the text doesn't match. The small portion of the story visible in the /hallows scan does not appear at all in the other scans that everyone is apparently downloading. In the words of Elmer Fudd, "something screwy is going on 'round here!"
OH PURLEAASEEE PPL GET REAL!!! IF THE SCANS ON BAYIMG ARE REAL, THEN WHY HAVENT THEY BEEN TAKEN DOWN YET? SCHOLASTIC TOOK DOWN THE PHOTOS FROM THE OTHER WEBSITE,RAIA OR SOMETHING?? ARE THEY SO SLOOOWW ON THE UPTAKE THAT THEY HAVENT DELETED THE SCANS POSTED HERE?? GET REAL OBVIOUSLY ITS A FAKE
Dref, you are right the scan you are talking about doesn't match up with the rest. however, since you are refering to something that is extremely zoomed in, and is tinted yellow. Chapter 16 in the scans of the book that I have is called Godrics Hollow and the picture is of a statue of a wife and husband holding a baby boy and snow is falling on the statue. The pictures I have are of the whole book, and are in great quality and you can see the actual book not just a page. Once again this is the real thing that I have on my computer not a fake. Why does everyone want to prove this is fake so bad? So that all these rumors you have heard will not be real. Get over it. Some stuff just aren't the way you want them. So what you got a little spoiled. If you don't want to be spoiled you shouldn't have gotten on the internet this week. Don't fuss at people for excersizing their free will to put what ever they want to on the internet. Not everyone hates spoilers like some people on these boards. You are going to find out either now or Saturday. Why does it matter when you find out? Are you really going to not be able to read the book becase you found out Hedwig died?
Also, the scans everyone else is posting on here isn't the same pictures as the ones I have.
This is all just so confused that it's exactly like discussing theories in a forum, only we're not doing it two years before the book comes out, and now we have pictures that may or may not have been doctored to take into consideration. This is hella fun. You can't trust anything or anyone. There aren't any spoilers anymore just because of how many there are that contradict one another. Heheheheh....it's really fun to discuss.
The page is zoomed and yellowish, but the words are the page are completely legible and they don't match at all any text in pictures of the book. I'm not saying the book is fake, but there is certainly some irregularities here. And why does that spoiler page say the epilogue is written like a newspaper article, but at the the bottom of the page they show photos of the epilogue pages and it is written like a traditional narrative. It's just weird, is all. And there are some people who are determined the book is real just because it CONFIRMS the theories they had, so the deniers aren't the only ways playing emotional.
