It's very true. The guy worked at a book store and grabbed a copy as soon as they were delivered. He took a photo of every page and uploaded it online. I couldn't resist finding out the ending. I will say that it is pretty much true, he uploaded the whole book online. Seriously, I hope he gets arrested.

Not to dash anyone's hopes that the page number on the supposed Epilogue proves that it is fake (it ends on p.759 and the text is listed at 784 pages), but (as others have pointed out) the page count listed by Scholastic is the total numbers of pages bound, not a count of the numbered pages in the book. All books have several pages that are not numbered or that are numbered independently of the main text. The total bound page count includes blank pages, title pages, table of content pages, dedication pages, etc., not just the pages on which appears the main text of the book. Therefore, it is possible that page 759 could be the number of the last page of the main text even though the book is bound with 784 total pages. Of course, none of the above proves the Epilogue is real – the only proof of authenticity would be an admission by the publisher and/or author, or the actual text of the book that we will all see on July 21, 2007. Until then, it is all speculation. On another note, no offense, but many of you are conflating notions of copyright and trademark law. If scholastic is seeking to enforce a copyright, they are focusing on a reproduction of a creative work and the associated remedies, such as an injunction in the short term and damages in the long term. Things such as characters and place names are rarely copyrightable (although they may be trademarked in some circumstance), whereas artistic expression, such as the text of a novel, is copyrightable. Similarity only enters into the copyright discussion when the court considers whether one work is derived from another (generally similarity comes into play when a work is passed off as original but is actually in whole or in part copied), so unless Scholastic is alleging that the posted works are derivative works of the actual text of Deathly Hallows (not just a story derived from characters and events in the prior books), it is quite unlikely that this is an attempt to pull a similar work that is fan ...

if all these spoilers are tru they should mention all the things ppl want to know about , e.g who uses magic in special circumstances, why is lillys eyes so important who was in godrics hollow the night of the potters murder, why did dumbledor trust snape what is the room in the ministry what role does dumbledore play in the book who is the eir of gryfindor how do ravenclaw redeem themselved, these are just some of the things that we are to find out about yet for some reason the so called ppl who are posting spolirs havenot mentioned these things, so these spoilers are obviously made up because the above things a what we need to know abput aswell not just who dies and that draco has a child

im just going to start writing lots of lists of "spoliers" then we will have soo much info coming to us that supposedly has validity that it wont matter! The truth will get lost in every possible "spoiler" listed...ha.. I think everyone should make their own spoiler list, type it up on photobucket, and edit their on fanfic onto copies of the scans....there we go! Problem solved :P

I read the entire book (all the pictures mentioned) and I am pretty sure this is legit. I won't give away any spoilers, but considering everything that we have speculated over the past couple years and the things that we already know WILL happen in the book, this is either real or a VERY VERY good fake.

Why do people have to be such [insert the swear of butt (this is what my son says so he won't get in trouble!)]. These spoiling types need to be hexed within an inch of their lives. My daughter msn'd me an excerpt she found on-line that was supposed to be the opening paragraph from Book 7 or something. I immediately closed the window, and told her to NEVER send me anything of the sort again. People who try to spoil the experience for the rest of us really are "the worst sort of Muggles imaginable". I am glad that the HP publishers have the legal means of addressing these issues, and that they pursue them so assiduously. Get 'em guys!

Geez, they're FINALLY doing something about it! I'm afraid now that the leak has been of the actual book and one or some of the spoilers going round must be true. I'm not sure which though. I've seen two different spoilers on a group of people who die... I'm not sure which to believe and I'm not going to because I'll find out when I read the book for myself. Sigh.... People think about this, Jo has given us a wonderful story over the last ten years, we can't believe that the Horrible ending to our book series is true. The ending didn't even make sense **SPOILER ALERT** if Ron did die how then is he there at 9 and 3/4, how can he have kids? That doesn't make sense, the books are under lock and key and while its possible they could get out I don't believe this is true.
