hey people guess what i have this theory. the guy who posted the spoilers got banned from a site because he breached copyright, which is FRAUD. if the spoilers were actually REAL, don't you think that the guy would be arrested for actually having the book in the first place, never mind uploading it onto a site! because the police would want to know where he got the book from in the first place.

Anyone can have access to the picture of the cover put up by every Potter fansite. You can print it. Secondly the font the books is typed in could be duplicated. Now I believe they could be real but I think some people just were to bored and wrote there own story based on the ideas proposed by the millions of fans. Come on all of the proof doesnt add up. HP&DH is 784 pages long anot 759 like in the spoiler. Secondly the epiolouge didnt talk about any other except a few. Plus the death doesnt add up cause that person is alive in the epilogue. Yes, the people who did this have to much time, and also didnt think they could get in treouble but its plagaerism and the broke copyright law. so all of you asking why would the companies go after them if it wasnt real is cause its illegal.

xunkn0wndr3amx- that one is iffy, because from what i gather there are contradictions. Such as what you heard being mentioned, but then that person being mentioned in the epolauge as well. Sorry if that didnt make sence, i was trying to stay spoiler free. hats more or less the only one i heard too, and i agree, that would suck.

please, folks. Think about it: The scans may very well have been real, but the chapter summaries were probably a lot of horse puckey. The chapter titles hardly reveal anything about the plot until the book is read and the artwork for the chapters is more confusing than anything until you read the book. It hasn't been spoiled even for those who saw the scans. I repeat: Unless they had scans of the whole book and you're sure it was legit, you haven't been spoiled. Chapter titles reveal very little with JKR.

TAYLOR77139! If you wanna stay spoiler free like some of my friends then just stay off all HP sites, and all other major sites like Youtube, and Myspace. Basically stay away from any site that allows users to post comments because HP is such a big thing people will be leaving spoilers in all types of places you would never expect to see them.

I don't know about the rest of the spoilers, but the epilogue is fake, fake, fake. Most of the reasons this is true have already been mentioned, but also notice that the American versions never leave entirely blank pages between chapters. Especially not blank pages covered with suspicious diamond patterns. The epilogue should have started on the page on the left. It didn't. So yes, there's a reason it isn't at JKR's writing level...

bookaholic I also agree that the epilogue is fake but not for the same reasons as you. You have to remember, we've never had an epilogue or a preclude in any of the past HP books so we don't know exactly how they'd go about it. I think it's fake because it doesn't sound like JKR, is too short, and only tells us about the lives of a hand full of characters

Well I did not intend to post again on copyright law, but I must disabuse some of you of your mistaken notions. First, copyright violation is not fraud. Passing off a pirated copy as real may be fraud, but copyright infringement under Title 17 of the US Code (and also under British law, although on this I have little training) is not fraud. And even if criminal copyright infringement charges would be appropriate, which as I indicated before is unlikely in this type of infringement case, they still have to identify the perpetrator before arresting him/her, which is the purpose of the subpoena, to get records by which he/she can be identified. Now, if they can prove that the person stole the book from a distributor, shipping company, bookstore, etc., then the person may be arrested for petty larceny, although I doubt even that would happen. I don’t mean to be rude, but you people are delusional (to use Emerson’s favorite word, although it is not completely apropos to the matter at hand), if you believe the lack of an arrest (for what is likely a civil, not criminal matter) is evidence that the images are not authentic. The only proof either way will come from an authoritative source, such as the publisher, the author or the book when we all get it on July 21.

Ok, here is what I do not understand. I saw this spoiler it says Ron dies, yet on the last page of the book- Ron is at the train station 19 years later. I don't get it...

For me the book is not spoiled even though I have read some of the "spoilers", temptation was to great. All the spoiler pages are different. Also, they are several different endings to the book out there that I have heard about. And If somebody can post something they do which everybody thinks is true it will make there day. Unless you got a copy in your hands you do not know if anything out there is true or not, so as I long as i do not know tthe truth then the book is not spoiled

I am so dissapointed! I read the chapter titles and a bit of the last chapter! The ending was stupid and it is unfortunate that 10 years of genius ends with that unsatisfying excuse for the conclusion to a saga!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!

I was shown the first page of a spoiler with the entire book. It is a bunch of pictures with a person standing there turning each page. I am glad all I saw was the table of contents. The lack of respect for the people who want to read the book when it comes out, the devoted fans who have grown up waiting for the next Harry Potter book is disgusting. Scholastic should take every legal action and I hope that any user who puts up spoilers will be prosecuted. So, for those of us patiently waiting, 3 more days. Good luck on avoiding slips of the tongue from not-so-patient friends willing to give away the end of the series.
