My friend just called me to say he got an early copy from deepdiscount.com. He told me that the company called and said if he waited to read it until Saturday they would give him $50 and a t-shirt. Thankfully my friend is taking the deal and not reading the book until July 21!...................... Not really sure how they could prove if they really read it or not and thats not fair, they get the book early and 50 bucks. Whatever.

sirius_lee, I would consider spazzing at a person something like sending a message all in caps lock (the button is right by your pinky in case you were unaware) and using an inordinate amount of exclamation points. Secondly, as I and almost 10 other people have stated, what Jerky has posted IS NOT TRUE. The only thing that has been actually POSTED as a spoiler are the chapter names and the epilogue. The rest of their spoilers contradict the epilogue. If you're so upset over this, stop coming online and go do what little boys do and use the page where Harry and Ginny kiss to clean up after yourself.

It is not the most well thought out plan, but I'm pretty sure it's all they could come up with under such a short time to cover themselves.

Here's a way to get some confirmation about whether the "leaked" version is in fact true. A reviewer from the Baltimore Sun (a legitimate newspaper in Baltimore, Maryland, United States) got a real copy in advance and wrote a review (you can read it at www.baltimoresun.com ). While the review only speaks to general themes of the book, it states the following: "[The theme of motherly love] is repeated over and over in Deathly Hallows. It's examined not only in Harry's relationship with his mother, but in Luna Lovegood's bond with her father, and even the nasty Draco Malfoy's connection with his malevolent mother, Narcissa. So strong is that bond that it can redeem even the most seemingly evil characters." Can someone who has read the "leaked" version (I have not) compare it with the review in the Baltimore Sun (which is seemingly based on a real copy) to provide evidence as to whether the "leak" is in fact real?

This is soooooooooooooo exciting. Cant wait.....I think that the people reading the book early wont have the same experiences than us though. They are spoiling it for themselves!!!!!!!

I'm not going to get to read the book in peace. I have a blood test at 11 AM on Sat, and then at 5-9 I have to read it in the car sitting in the middle of the backseat, because my family is going on vacation. It really is annoying. Someone can tell me I'm a jerk, or that I'm right to be a little upset. BUt I just had to tell a fellow HP fan. As for these spoilers, I don't really believe any of them....and if some of them are true it might be by coincidence. All that matters is right now choosing not to believe them.

I just called deepdiscount.com's customer service line to complain. I suggest other people do to so that they understand how big of a deal this is. The number is 1-800-264-5076. I hope they loose everything in the lawsuit.

Plim: They said that the book wasn't being released to critics yet, so that is just another discrepancy that they are dealing with-I wouldn't be surprised if scholastic was just putting out all kinds of crazy hype-it sure seems that way..(Not that it's needed whatsoever). Then again, from what they have confirmed, the photographed copies from the book-were not legit. {Not saying they were not based on validity-but they have said it was not the complete manuscript of DH} There was also no idiomatic vernacular in what I read of it, which is really prevalent in ALL the other books (British and USA versions...both adapted themselves to local diction,etc.) this one was really cut and dry and choppy from what I read....Hagrid also spoke w/out his own patois way of speech as well...{again i only read some of it} Grammatically, there were some common usage problems b/t American standard form and the UK standard--the "book" was all in bad American for the most part from what i've read/learned..etc. Anyone who is college educated {old enough to be so} read the leaked text?? What do you think about this if so?

its so sad that firstly, any company would sell it early to make a couple bucks and secondly that there is any person on this earth who is so greedy that they cant wait until it comes out. isnt it part of the joy of the whole super-human, huge phenomenon of the book to know that every single harry potter fan, young or old, is (if they have to) taking the day off of work and cancelling all other plans s othat they can sit at home and read the final chapter of this series? i think its pretty awesome that everyone i know will be doing that. i seriously feel like crying just for the fact that this has happened. i was on another website reading about harry potter fonts and as i was reading through it, i read one persons comment about some occurances in the book. i am absolutely devastated that i read that. the suspence is waht makes it so cool. i even came here to ensure the release date was the same for all english-speaking countries... and i was so happy and realized it was all fake and the element of surprise hadnt been ruined... and then i read this. to anyone who bought the book, i really think you are the most selfish people ever. and the fact that you would write about it on the internet to ruin it for TRUE harry potter fans is despicable. i hate you all.

Draco_fan: most of the spoilers out there aren't true-so what you read could have been based on at least THREE fake manuscripts/epilogues out there...so there is a good chance what you read has no validity whatsoever! This whole thing has become funny funny. It's like someone wrote: "Crookshanks eats Wormtail!", everyone else believes it and half of the people want to kill themselves because they read something no one forced them to read. Strangely enough, the last 3 books have always endured some kind of problem prior to the offical release, as if someone has the time and will to steal/hack/copy the book just to tell us the ending in an otherwise unknown website. If I were the one getting the book, I would make a video of it and put it in Youtube for example. I just think this is only propaganda for the book, nothing more. The publishers surely are happily watching how the expectation for the "spoiled Potter book" grows by the second, making them richer by the minute. As for the veracity of the spoilers, who cares! It's like going to the movies and watching the trailer for, say, Transformers, and then complaining that they ruined my experience of the movie, because I just saw Optimus Prime. I'll just enjoy my book now, and wait for the spoilers to show up, if they don't great, if they do well, it'll be the same Potter book right?
