1200 copies leaked!!! and i didn't get one...I knew i shouldn't have ordered from amazon. Don't get me wrong, i'm avoiding spoilers like the plague. But if someone walked and handed me a copy of the book i sure wouldn't turn it down.

I think it's shameful that companies of that calibercan make such a mistake. All of the security measures that they take and the internet distributers start distributing too early! If some one were to ruin the story because of this mistake it would be like telling a four-year old that Santa isn't real! All the magic is gone.

Whether or not Scholastic caught the culprit or not is irrelevant. All it takes is 1 copy for someone to go ballistic and make copies and spread them all over the internet. One of the problems with living in the digital age, information, like it or not, can spread like wildfire.

This is good news. But guys, be SO careful. I have gotten spoiled on a HUGE plot point posted on one of my friend's LJs, that she saw on a website by one of those who got the book early. I am devestated, and it is going to affect my enjoyment of the book. Plus I now have to be extra extra careful not to accidentally let anything slip that will ruin the book for someone else! I really must suggest that you avoid the Internet completely until after you read the book, at this point.

I have to say, i clicked on the "spoiler" link and took care not to read anything (by standing 10 feet away from my computer when it came up). I stole a quick glance at what were supposed to be pictures of the chapter titles, and I must say if they are fake they are very well done. Despite what scholastic says about the book having been released starting July 17, I am inclined to believe that what is on that spoiler link is real, thus I would not advise anyone to click on it (although I must admit it is awfully tempting). Anyone else happen to get a look at it? If so what is your opinion as to its authenticity?

alot of you claim to hate spoilers but you must be looking for them, or at least not watching for them. The only HP sites i've been to this week are Mugglenet, TLC, and jkrowling.com. Site i know are spoiler safe. and if i even think any page might have spoilers, I close it. and so the only "spoilers" i've seen are speculation.

I read that Lord Voldermort, used the Avadar Ca-nukem curse and destroyed the city of London in book 7! lol Track em down and burn em at stake! This is the first time that I have posted on this site all week! I am so nervous about being spoiled that I have refused to read the comments. We take our chances by reading in here. we are all one "snape kills DD" comment away from being spoiled! I read fake spoiler comments earlier in the week only to find out that the guy made them, but for a few minutes I thought that the book was spoiled and was already falling into a slight depression thinking that the book was spoiled for me. I miss reading the news articles and all of the fan comments but I just can't risk it anymore! I work a lot and I have 5 kids so I don't get a lot of leizure time so I won't be able to finish the book quickly so until then, I'll miss all of your comments and exciting Potter news. I don't think anyone should take the Zendurl spoilers too seriously. A couple of the spoilers posted at that site are contradicted in the *alleged* epilogue that was posted along with them on the very same page. (The epilogue is no longer posting there.) Didn't the writer of the spoilers notice that???

The allegedly leaked book is not the correct amount of pages, no matter how you look at it - you all have copies of the first 6, check it out! Also, there is no synopsis on the front inside cover; you guys can confirm that it should be seen no matter what page you are on unless you are pressing the book down hard enough to break the spine. And its obvious from the pictures that the person doing it is not pressing the pages down that hard. I skipped to the epilogue and sure enough, just reading it shows that it's fake - the name of someone's child proves that. But I've also read 20 chapters of it and it's so fake. I've already posted that before. This press release clearly states that the people received their books YESTERDAY! The allegedly leaked book has been online since the weekend! RELAX! It's not real, no matter what you say! From today on, though, I would be wary. I know I would read the book early if I got it, but I would NEVER EVER SPOIL it for anyone else! Hell, my husband hasn't read the books and I won't even tell him what happens in the movies (last one he asked if Sirius was going to die; I said nothing). He asked me if I would tell him what happens after reading book 7 - I said NO WAY! You want to know read the books or wait for the movies! HA! It'll be here soon. I thought today was Tuesday and was happy to realize it was Wednesday! Yay!

I had a feeling something like this might happen! No matter how hard they try there will always be some moron in the bunch that doesn't do his job correctly which results in many disappointments souls! I'm just glad I'm picking up my book up at the Borders at midnight so that I didn't have to worry about getting my copy mailed at the right time. I hope no one at the bookstore knows the specifics about this leak! I'd hate to get a bloody spoiler right as I was handed the book! I can't imagine what Jo is going through right now! I don't care if it's 'just a book'. It would kill the reading experience if I get spoiled. I mean, imagine reading HBP already knowing that Snape kills Dumbledore. It would have been awful! lol the link that someone left as a "spoiler link" is anything but...dead giveaway- Harry finds out that Voldemort isn't in the country by looking their mental connection. However, those of us who have read HP OOTP know that this is impossible as Voldy for obvious reasons closed off that mental link. I wouldn't worry too much about the spoilers, none of them seem legit with what JK has sent out, and what HP fans already know and expect from the book. 2 more days =)

Hey all, I read some of the spoiler websites, and they are all so conflicting, and some are rediculous, I don't belive any of them. They make for good stories, but I don't think that they are Jo's stories. I will be waiting for the book to see what really happens. If it turns out like any of the spoilers I've read, I'll be so mad at myself.
