Scholastic is just trying to show off. The leak that I saw was a library book. You could tell because it had plastic taped over the cover.

Well, i have to say while i'm not completely surprised by the leak(s)...i am incredibly disappointed. I have been mostly staying offline to avoid spoilers. But i have been venturing on to a few HP sites to basically try and connect with other fans waiting for the release. I have heard about the scanned copies, the 'hacked' copy & the now infamous Last Chaptor, but had managed to avoid actually SEEING anything from them. until a few minutes ago. I managed to scroll past the comment after reading the first sentence, thankfully. I just have one thing to say about this..... If someone WANTS to be spoiled...by all means, go to the links that have been provided. But WHY would someone feel the need to post these spoilers here, out of pure spite and malice towards the fans? I understand the arguement 'well, if you want to be completely sure you'll be spoiler free...stay off the internet.'. But I guess i was hoping my luck would hold out for another couple of days. I guess i know have to bunker down and turn the computer off until after this weekend. :(

I did read some of the comments on the internet but it still won't take the real pleasure away of reading the true book. Unfortunately, there are people out there who live to ruin other people's happiness. I will read the book, love it and put it carefully away, only to go back and read it again. I am rereading all of the books.

Guys, they started receiving them yesterday---those pics of the "book" were posted online for days before they received the book-- everything is ok!! HBP had the same thing happen 2 years ago, but it was actually the pre-orders that just got there early....( I can't remember which company..) Those pics that were posted of the "book" were posted before last weekend... I doubt whether the book got there that early-Scholastic already announced that there were "fake books" going around on the internet. I'm sure that we are ok..

I was able to see one photo that was posted with an article from a reputable magazine, and the book does look real enough. Without giving too much away (if you haven't read the article), the pic is of two pages--and one page contains the list of HP books available. The other, well, I won't say. Still, it looks authentic--and I can't wait to compare it to the real thing when I get it.

Okay I am about to stay off all HP related sites until Saturday, but here are my two cents. I stumbled across a couple of supposed leaks before 17th July, meaning that even though the real book is almost definitely online, there are also a LOT OF FAKES. If you do not want anything you have read confirmed I suggest you wait a couple more days until HP is in your hands. :)

They probably are not! And even if they are there is no way to know until we read the books so for now just look at them as someones Delusional theory's. And inomoreabouthpthnu your right we are giving to much attention to jerkyhole which is just what he wants. but Oh if words were swords and could get thought the internet =) hee hee (smiles at the thought) after all they are just his DELUSIONAL theory's.
