Not a huge shock really, the story didn't seem right especially with the timing of the release. And the standard that has been in previous movies is to cast actors and actresses who are less known than some of those mentioned. But I am craving more HP news! lol

well, Jo was offered the part of Lily Evans Potter in the first film when they did the mirror of erised scene.......and she said no b/c she thought she'd be terrible and mess it up. it would be cool though.

How exactly is that not british?

Personally, I'm happy that she isn't in the film. I wasn't comfortable with the casting of an Aussie -- I thought there was a British-only ('cept for Fleur and Krum) casting rule. Australian is as close to British as American or Canadian. I personally want Cait Blanchette to play Narcissa. )

I would have thought that Joseph Fiennes would have been perfect for a younger Tom Riddle because he's Ralph Fienne's brother and they look similar. I hope that is true, it would fit nicely.

exactly! I mean being a good actor doesn't mean you can play ANY part and it is obvious to at least 90% of people that he doesn't work in this role so why not go with someone else? I hear he's said he doesn't even really like it anyways. Harris was the best person for it. some people say he wouldn't be able to play the more intense parts in the 6 movie and what not, but I have no doubt he could have. I miss him dearly :(
