OK, now that I've looked at several pictures of him on the linked website, I think he's got eyes and chin to be Slughorn. I've seen some of the movies he's been in, but never paid much attention to him...guess that could be the sign of a good actor: he just seems natural in the role. I wonder if they're going to cast Bob Hoskins at all? If so, for what role?

OMG! I love Jim Broadbent! He's such a terrific actor - the man is an utter chameleon and FULL of wit and charm. Wow! BRAVO to the casting director! I couldn't be happier about this! EXCELLENT choice!

This is great casting. It's just a shame that Slughorn didn't end up having any sort of a role at all in Deathly Hallows. I was so sure that he would be involved when Harry found out about the Lily/Snape connection.

He looks like a really good Slughorn! I approve of the way he looks, I just hope the acting is up to scratch! I'm sure it will be though considering they cast Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix and she was excellent so I think they're on a roll of good actors!
