HP Lexicon is a great website for finding information but I agree that it is wrong of them to publish and sell an encyclopedia, especially since JKR has stated many times that she is considering publishing one. I will wait for hers!! Lexicon should remain a free website! They should have offered to collaborate with JKR on the encyclopedia. Now they are just in deep doodoo!

I"ve gotta say, I agree with most of the posters on here. I mean, it IS Jo's right, but when has it ever been an issue? Honestly, I don't think it's very fair. I mean, she's suing her fans? That's ridiculous! The Lexicon would be more of a book about what we already know, just in a resource form (pretty much like it is now, I assume). Jo's will be completely different. I honestly don't understand why she's doing this, it doesn't really seem like her. Didn't she praise the Lexicon before? Maybe WB pushed her into it somehow. Or maybe she's not involved. Or maybe she really is being that shallow...

I felt bad for the Indian community they were trying to sue. They were just making a replica of something they loved. They weren't even going to charge money for people to see it. That issue I was a little dumbfounded about because they weren't hurting anyone or anything. But I still stand by what I said her suing this guy. I've not visited his website yet, which I plan on doing now : )

JKR appears to be becoming more and more greedy all the time. The Lexicon is/was listed on her own the fans site page and now she sues them. Mugglenet beware! She may come after you next. The HP stories are great, but she's turning into another George Lucas.

Ok people who are saying that they can see her point because then who's going to buy one when she writes hers are wrong. This book is only going to have information that we ALREADY KNOW! Hers is supposed to have background information that we didn't already know about. I think this is ridiculous. I can't see her point at all. This is a FAN SITE! What's she so worried about?! It's not like anyone was going to buy this book! But now they probably will because it's supposed to be controversial. I never would have known about it otherwise. I'm seriously very upset at her. This is stupid. She's been suing way too many people lately over the dumbest things. And she doesn't even need the frickin money which makes it even worse. By her constantly suing people over the littlest, insignificant things, is starting to make my admiration for her decrease.... I thought she was better than that, but I guess everyone in the rich world is all the same. All the HP lexicon doing is basically taking their stuff off their site and putting it into a book. Who cares if they make money off of it! It's not anything new. It's just stuff we know anyways. So JKR should just sit back and breath because yeah, multi-million copies of her encyclopedia will still be sold since it's a lot of new information. This suing stuff is so rediculous.
