It's one thing to have a open website with all the HP information. It's another to sell a book and make money off of it. Also, from my understanding, this encyclopedia is set apart from all of the other companion books because everything from it is directly out of HP. The books like the ones that Mugglenet does are about the books, yes, but they are full of opinions and interpreptations of the plots. I stand behind JKR 100% on this issue and it disguests me that someone as well known and liked in the HP fandom would not listen to JKR's wishes.

I dunno, I just started reading the books in grade 1 cos Marie used to read them and then I got addicted at the first word!

well... i was 1 when the first book came out so... i first saw the movies [poa and cos] and my sister sort of liked them. i first just flipped trough them but then 3 years ago i officially read the first 3 all in one day and then the 4th and 5 th one 2 days later i then became officially addicted!!!!

Me too actually i started reading in 2nd grade when i got SS from my grandma who go it from a Borders store by accident and with in an instant those books became my one true love!

hiya hpfanx!!!! april i emailed you back. alright heres my story, when HP came out i was in high school and had no interest in it. i thought it was a kids book. but then i saw SS on HBO and really liked it, so i went and saw COS in theaters. during the summer of 2003 i went shopping for some beach reading. I saw the HP books in the front of the store(OOTP was coming out soon) and said hey i like the movies and the books are always better, so i picked up the first two for my vacation. i went home and had the first one finished before we even left, so i ran out and got POA and went on vaca. I finished COS and POA while on vaca and made my family drive to a city that had a Kmart so i could buy GOF. When I got back home i picked OOTP and havent put them down since. :-) (sorry that was rather long!) oh i only had one book spoiled for me. HBP i had heard rumors of Dumbledores death before the book came out.

i knew about harry potter for a while b/c my sister obsesed over them. and by like the 2nd grade she started raeding them to me and ever since i've been hoooked :P

i started reading them when my bro was reading them. haha my mom thought there was a problem with him cuz he never read ever. like he could, he just didnt. and she thought that wasnt normal. so she heard about hp i think around after the 2nd book came out and how kids loved them even if they did like books so she bought them for him and i kinda picked them up instead and after that we bought the rest like as soon as they came out. so ikinda grew up with them *smiles nostalgicly*

Well actually when I was 7, my best friend (who now lives in california) asked me if I wanted to go see sorcerers stone for his b-day party. I was like, uh no. I was too critical of books at the time, and also I was a little stupid too. lol anyway, I say it anyway, and I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought the first book and read it. The I got the second book and loved it too. Then for christmas I got the 3rd book. LOVED IT. The 4th book i think was already out, so i got it LOVED IT also. Then, there was the slightly long gap between 4-5, but when OotP came out, I got it the same day. By then, I was hooked. I did the same thing for book 6. For book seven, I went at the midnight party. IT WAS AWSOME, and DH RULED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol thats so cool rob! i dont remember the date or anything, but Ari was the first one to talk to me on here and be nice and i saw her talking to dannyrob and hallowsaint and i thought they were freaking hilarious. they mentioned being a cheesecakian and asked how i could be one too. i definitely wasnt the first one after those three, but the group was rather small when i joined.
