Marisa, looooong story, but heres a quick summary. a person named wannabe_lee came on MN and was talking to Grnd and felix. they thought it was Ari and were teasing wannabe_lee. wannabe said his name was calvin and that he lived in Michigan. Ari comes and sees the comments and takes them personally and then sends the emails. i believe everything is alright now.

Sucks to be Steve, but he's totally in the wrong here. With JK being so friendly with her fans, and her books being so huge, and the ridiculous amount of fanfiction there is around it's easy to start to feel like the HP world doesn't belong to anyone, that it's shared by all of us. The fact is, JK imagined every last detail of this world which she decided to share with us, so she owns the lot. Try putting yourself in her shoes. You spend two decades coming up with something as incredible, intricate, well-known and well-loved as the HP books, and then some other person (whether you've been friendly with them in the past or not) comes along and decides to make their own book out of what you've imagined and sell it for their own gain, you'd be pretty pissed too.

Wolfstar, the hp books are great and enjoyable and all but looking at many aspects its terribly unoriginal. jk has no place to be suing her own fans for providing a service to other fans.
