Saturday Night Live mocks recent Dumbledore revelation
Saturday Night Live mocks recent Dumbledore revelation On last night's episode of Saturday Night Live, there were two big mentions of Albus Dumbledore's recent sexuality revelation. The first came during the weekly bit called "Weekend Update." One anchor reported the revelation, followed by the punchline "Even worse, he now has Hog Warts."

The second came in a segment where JK Rowling is being interviewed about Dumbledore on CNN's Larry King Live. She tells Larry that several scenes were cut from the movie which gave away his sexuality. Each of the scenes were then played, focusing around Dumbledore telling McGonagall about his man love problems.

UPDATE: Clip #1 from the Weekend Update segment | Clip #2 from the Larry King segment

People having conversations about their personal lives in the comments section is so annoying.

Posted by tiassa Nov 5th 2007

you must be really bored if you opened the comments section on the 8 page to find out about those conversations. Sounds like you dont have a life-kind of like us- which makes me wonder if you want to talk about it.

am i the only one who cant see the second clip? the one in the snl web page?

Posted by gryffindorboi Nov 5th 2007

yeah that was lame as hell for SNL. wow...i'm shocked...plus why does anyone care if dumbledore was gay? it's not like you could even really tell from the books, besides the fact that he wasn't married which i thought him and McGonagall had something goin on, but i was way wrong... all the parents freaking out about it should take a minute, grow up and be a parent and read what their kids read. oh i forgot they are too busy being selfish and ignoring their kids to even care unless something like lead paint in toys, e coli in food or the fact that a fictional character is gay is broadcast on the news and internet like its some huge phenomenon...wow...aren't there wars, an election and natural disasters to report on?

Posted by NicoleM Nov 5th 2007

Wow.. that was REALLY NOT funny. SNL is usually very funny. I guess people are still going to pronounce "Rowling" wrong. Sorry, but he (first clip) could have at least pronounced her name right!

Posted by pexysenguin4 Nov 5th 2007

guys.....that was funny.

Posted by wicked87 Nov 5th 2007

that was funny! lol....and the girl who was playing McGonagall was pretty spot on!

Posted by celticraven Nov 5th 2007

Saturday Night Live doesn't have very many funny clever jokes anymore, in fact a lot of their jokes are very unintelligent. However, there are still some skits that have some funny jokes.

Posted by padfoot324 Nov 6th 2007

Well, I must say... this information has come as a shock... however, we knew there must bee something she wasn't telling us... Dumbledore alwys did pay more attention to the men in the books than the women.

Posted by Draco_Is_Mine_So_There Nov 6th 2007

Hog Warts...Jay Leno made that joke last summer, before the seventh book came out.

Posted by fire_whiskey Nov 6th 2007

haha, that was great! it took me almost the entire time to figure out who JK was being played by. than i figured it out-she plays Regina's mom in Mean Girls!! =)

Posted by Lanky_Schmit Nov 6th 2007

darn the stupid american website won't let me view the video! can anyone here plz send me a youtube link for the second video pretty please.

Posted by 7211harry1127 Nov 6th 2007

The first clip was rather lame. The second clip was a little better, it made me laugh a little at least. Now I'm probably going to have a dream of Dumbledore at a gay bar since I watched that

Posted by In_My_Head Nov 7th 2007

I thought that was sooo stupid. It wasn't funny at all... and of course the "JK Rowling" made me angry. I might be too loyal to Jo, but I really thought it was rubbish.

Posted by jonno2k8 Nov 8th 2007

HOLA!

Posted by felixfelicis888 Nov 10th 2007

Members of the group NLOI will be banned if they do not stop harassing the other people of the MN community. My inbox has been flooded with complaints from people (most were not cheesecakians either) who are tired of your nonsence 'protection of mugglenet.' This is your one warning.

Posted by marisa91 Nov 10th 2007

ummm...... ne1 here?

Posted by Mrsroonil_wazlib Nov 10th 2007

2 QUESTIONS: What's going on and what's NLOI

Posted by felixfelicis888 Nov 10th 2007

NLOI is a group that 'wants to stop the cheesecakes from taking over mugglenet.' They've got no defense for it, and will be banned if they continue to argue with the peaceful commenters.

Posted by Mrsroonil_wazlib Nov 10th 2007

obviously somebody has way to much free time...

Posted by marisa91 Nov 10th 2007

hey felix & wazlib.... any idea where the cheesecakians wet to? or did they seriously all leave cuz of, erm, THEM
