Like I said before, with the top of his head cut off its hard to say what its really like here but I think that GoF hair was too long, the unruly messy hair is somewhere inbetween like PoA.

I tell guys apart by their hair half of the time. Always. I refer to my friend as the boy with the brown, floppy hair, I reffer to Jake Gyllenhaall (or however you spell it) as the cow boy dude with awesome hair. Thats just how I work. And I do not like hair short on dudes at all. Dan isnt looking great. R.I.P Dan's gorgeous hair....you will be missed.

Well...Dan had his hair cut extremely short for the movie "December Boys", remember? Then soon after that he went back to UK for OOTP, he just didn't have time to wait for his hair to grow again. I just hope that they could make up a scene that Uncle Vernon finally cut his hair crazily ugly and Harry (magically) couldn't keep it the original way lol

I agree, the unruly hairstyle should have been kept, i really liked the long hair and the other styles from the other movies, it just looks like he had it curled and primped in that pic which isn't true to the books, we can always hope it is just a beginning pic and they did it for promotion only...~

I think it was because of December Boys it might not be like that through out the whole film.

Bill-you are right, he did have to cut it really short for that film and there was only a difference of a few months, so there wasn't a lot of time, but hopefully it will get a little longer...~

Um people its hair, yes I know Dan looks rather unatractive with his haircut but it isn'y the end of the world. Harry Potter fans are notorious for overreacting, myself included.

Grow it back Dan, please grow it back! Stop the shooting for movie 5! They can't all lose The Beatles look... it would be to sad. Shoot the seanes without Dan first so that the "December Boys" cut will be gone. And it also looks like Harry's scar disapeared... go on forget all cannon on the posters people!
