This sounds awesome! I don't even know what the Spiderwick Chronicles are... but I'd do this lol. The trailer looks awesome.

Posted by Brielle Dec 16th 2007

too! many! exclamation! points! also, how much are you getting paid to promote this film?

Posted by ilovepadfoot Dec 16th 2007

10! yay!

Posted by LadyDiana79 Dec 16th 2007

The film looks like it's going to be great! I know some of you are just being a little sarcastic and are just playing, but it's really none of your business how much he's getting paid to promote this film. This is Emerson's site. If the company offered you $2 - 3,000 to promote don't lie and say you wouldn't take the money. So unless you wouldn't take the money, please be quiet. If you don't want to go and see the movie then fine. Keep in mind it takes money to run this site and you wouldn't be here if he didn't come up with the money (even from other sources) to keep it alive. Harry Potter is a great series, I love it. But, I would like to say this, please open your hearts and minds to other books and series, too. You wouldn't be betraying HP. Plus, there have been stories out there similar to HP before and after it was published. There will be more. Jo just created something that people love to read and reread. Also, I would like to say though she would never admit which books, the very books and films you criticize could be what inspired her. You cannot be a writer without inspiration from somewhere.

I want to clear up a few things. I hope my post did not come off as mean. I did not mean to be so. I just find it rather sad, (I'm not really sure if people are just playing or not) that it kinda sounds like you all will never read another series or even another book again. Without feeling like you're betraying HP, I would hope you give another author a chance to feel at least a bit of the love that you give Jo. If you're just playing, then don't mind me. There are a lot of books out there that I think are really good, too and are original in their own way. Like Charlie Bone, for example. The only thing I don't like about it that huge writing font. LOL! Not making fun of the blind, but the letters seem like it's for them. It's not HP, but it's good in its own way. No two writers are alike.

movie looks awesome!! i'll probabaly read the book first though.

Posted by malloriirollam Dec 18th 2007

Mugglenet is not turning into spiderwick! This isnt about spiderwick, its about FANTASY! it ok for people to branch out... what else are we going to do with all the books out????!!! grrrrrr.

Posted by RubyMoon Dec 18th 2007

I would absolutely love to enter this contest and I think it sounds absolutely great, seeing as I've read the spiderwick chronicles, shame u have 2 live in the USA to enter as I'm from the UK, u never know i may have won :(

Posted by britishwannabe Dec 18th 2007

Hey whatever happened to harry potter? As far as I can see, this USED to be a harry potter site but now they're asking us BS poll questions like 'If MuggleNet was to make a fan site for the The Spiderwick Chronicles, what should it be named?' THIS IS CALLED BETRAYAL OF HARRY POTTER. Stick with harry potter to the very end, and mugglenet is certainly not doing this. Since all the books are done and there are only 2 movies left, Mugglenet thinks that it's fine to give up on all of their harry potter fans and start obsessing over a completely moronic book like the Spiderwick Chronicles. Ooooo, that's rich, it's just about the same as every other stupid creature fantasy books out there.....what a disappointment.

Posted by mooseman93 Dec 18th 2007

Now that's what I'm talking about. I feel like Mugglenet is giving up on us and Harry Potter, and falling back on other stories. Stick to HP!!!
