a hacker used to just be a computer enthusiast. today Id say there are 3 types of ethical hacking. 1: someone who is PAID by a corporation to attempt to find exploits in their sites and software to ensure it is hacker safe. 2: someone who enjoys learning programs, writing scripts, just curious and bored people using there time how they like. 3: someone who attempts to find exploits in websites when it isnt his job, not intending to do serious harm, maybe changes some things and tells the webmaster so he can increase the security so someone with malicious content cant use the same hole.
