Dan is become a better actor but he shouldn't be nominated for best actor and Emma shouldn't be best actress but for best supporting actress. But I do agree that Rupert should be nominated for something.

Posted by Lorraineish Jun 28th 2006

Rupert is so much better... when will the critics realize it?

Posted by LunaLovegoodRoxx23 Jun 28th 2006

Does anybody have a link for the song Hedwigs Theme Rockedout? I had it underfavourites and it doesnt work anymore and i really want to listen to it but i cant find it anywhere. If someone has a link that would be awesome :D:D

Posted by Rupert_Roxs09 Jun 28th 2006

Well congrats to them. Rupert is really talented and awesome though and yes he does seem to be pushed to the back and that sucks noodles but the nomination was probably for leading actor and leading lady and he is probably ranked as supporting actor and hes not a lady lol! But Rupert Roxs my pink and black soxs lol!!!!!!!

Posted by BellaLestrange Jun 28th 2006

I completely agree with rupertsfuturewife's first post. I couldn't have explained it better myself. I think Emma Watson is a good actress it just seems like she tries too hard. I really think Dan could practice a bit more, but I think he is the best choice by far for the role of Harry. And personally, I think Rupert is a natural at acting, he may be shy but he is very good at what he does. I'd say he is one of the best actors in the Harry Potter movies. While I'm at it: I think Michael Gambon is really really bad at portraying Dumbledore. Dumbledore is supposed to be a really wise, old, tired looking man, and Michael is always running and jumping and...shaking Harry so hard its as if he wants Harry head to come off. I absolutely hated the way Voldemort turned out and....Oh yeah I think Jason Isaacs and Alan Rickman play their roles PERFECTLY. I hope to God Bellatrix turns out the way I am hoping. She is my favorite character.

Posted by Mariami Jun 28th 2006

Rupert is so much better than those too, but that's just my opinion. I hate how he's never nominated for stuff and the others are, when it's clear who is the actor who does a better job. I'm not saying Dan and Emma don't deserver this, because they do, but if they do, Rupert deserves it too. Congrats to them, anyway.

Posted by thehillsx48 Jun 28th 2006

dude..what about rupert? er..emma as hermione? just not right.

Posted by clemence713 Jun 28th 2006

Congrats 2 them but yeah rupert is underated i feel bad but good luck 2 Emma and Dan yepp YAY ! and isnt SyFy mean SCIENCE FICTION im sorry im depressed i jus think harry potter is not science fiction but i still hope they win woot..woot :P

Posted by psu2003 Jun 28th 2006

What on earth does Rupert have to do for these people? Geez. Isn't there a supporting actor category or something? Dan deserves it, but Emma...no way. Way too overdramatic for me.

Posted by Jadore_Bella Jun 28th 2006

That is so stupid. If they were in a different movie that was not Harry Potter, nobody would pay any attention to them. Emma is way too dramatic and can't act very well anyway. Dan is alright, but certainly not award worthy. Rupert is the best out of the three, although he does not potray Ron well. I think the movies should get much less attention and should stop being nomitnated for awards, because they don't deserve them.

Posted by lumos Jun 28th 2006

hedwigs theme rocked out? anyone have a link!?

Posted by loonz Jun 28th 2006

its really fishy how rupert almost always gets left out of these things...like HELLOOO he is really a gifted actor! but congrats to emma & dan

Posted by smurff Jun 28th 2006

Okay, let's all stop Emma bashing... Woah. She's not a great, but she's a good actress, and I think she portrays Hermione well. She's always serious looking, somewhat annoying, and very smart. Sometimes, yes, a little dramatic lol but that's fine. She's not an experienced actor, she's just doing her best. I really dont think Rupert deserves the award any more than the other two. I personally don't see why people like him so much. I don't think he portrays a good Ron. Dan is actually a really good Harry and nothing anyone says can change my mind. Harry's supposed to be nervous and awkward a lot, not some insane superhero. Dan was cast really well.

Posted by LadyArwen06 Jun 28th 2006

All the long comments frighten me lol jk. Um well congrats to Dan and Emma

Posted by wizkid99 Jun 28th 2006

Ok, I want them to win, but like everyone else, I'm upset that Rupert isn't getting nominated for ANYTHING. He's my favorite out of the three.

Posted by GreyWolf Jun 28th 2006

C'mon people what about Rupert Grint? It's so dumb cause he acts better than them.

Posted by panic_method Jun 28th 2006

they are not gonna get the award...trust me...and by the way...fudge you all! RUPERT GRINT (my love) ACTS WAYAWAYWAYWAY BETTER!

Posted by Hedwig Jun 28th 2006

Good luck to them! Sorry that this is unrelated, but has anyone else not been able to get on MuggleNet for the past two days? This is the first time I've been able to reach it since sometime on Sunday.

Posted by broadwayybabe Jun 28th 2006

wicked i hope they win this time

Posted by districtsleeps_alone Jun 28th 2006

What. About. Rupert!?

Posted by hplunatic Jun 28th 2006

No! I think Emma is a great Hermione! Well, thats my opinion anyway...

Posted by potterfan22 Jun 28th 2006

Congrats to them, but what about Rupert??? :(

Posted by bloodpromise Jun 28th 2006

smurff 40 i don't think anyone is bashing Emma.. all people have done is state their opinions on her (both positive and negative) in a relatively calm way - as they've been doing for the other two actors as well. Bashing is more of screaming insults about someone and ranting on about how horrible they are, and usually not backing up why they think that way with solid reasons. (If anything, i think there's been more Rupert-bashing.)

Posted by bloodpromise Jun 28th 2006

*ignore the 40

Posted by crazybookworm Jun 28th 2006

emma is definitely not best actress....dan isn't the best actor...gof isn't the best movie!!!!!

Posted by Janey Jun 28th 2006

Another Rupert snub once again. What is wrong with these people? Come on! Rupert is totally the humour in HP. Without him, it just wouldn't be funny. I can't understand why they always leave him out? Good lord! I hope that Rupert gets a whole bunch of awards for Driving Lessons, just to prove to all those people who didn't believe in him, that he has talent. While Dan and Emma are finishing HP, Rupert will have a whole bunch of other post-HP films waiting for him, guaranteed. Congrats and good luck to Dan and Emma, though.

Posted by Janey Jun 28th 2006

Oh yeah, and I just wanted to add, that I agree with some of the previous comments made, Rupert is by far the most natural and talented actor out of the trio. He doesn't overact or underact. He's just perfect. He's got a great acting future ahead of him. So don't worry Rupert fans, while Dan and Emma have these little teeny awards, in 10 years or so, Rupert will have an Oscar.

Posted by KatieRiddle Jun 28th 2006

what about rupert? i thought he stole the show!

Posted by hermione_girl Jun 28th 2006

they are sooo going to win :) but poor Rupert he is almost always left :(

Posted by iluvbeingme23 Jun 28th 2006

That's great news for Dan and Emma! But, honestly, poor Rupert! There's always best actor and best actress catergories. Obviously, since Dan plays the main character he gets noms and Emma plays the main female so she gets noms. Rupert, who is undoubtedly better than Dan, though Dan is quite good, never gets noms because he gets shoved behind Dan. BLOODPROMISE : I totally agree about Dan's crying in PoA. The first time I saw it, I heard the crying before I saw anyone, Hermione and Ron included. And my first thought was "Why is Hermione crying?!" But it was Harry!! I know I'm rambling, but I'll continue. My opinion on Emma is that she is still quite good in my eyes. She does well with what she's given. Comparing movie to canon, movie!Hermione is less like book!Hermione, not because of Emma's acting, but the script at times. Also, we can go into the hair thing. PS and CoS hair was very good, quite canon. Then for some reason, they decided it was too much hassle to friz her hair up for PoA and GoF. Now, I know house elves would cost millions to do, but how expensive would it be to make someone's hair frizzy? I'll do it for free if that's what they're worried about! Okay, I almost wrote an editorial there. I apologize. +Christina+

Well, I clicked on the link, fully intending to bookmark it for future HP voting, but... Firefly was there... Sorry. I'm voting for the captain! :) ps, Rupert Grint is awesome! :)

Posted by asuri Jun 28th 2006

As a lot of people have already said, it's a bit disappointing that Rupert has never been nominated. I think that, of the three, he's the most natural in his role. As for Emma, I think she makes a good Hermione. I know she doesn't fit the "nerdy know-it-all" we love, but can we honestly expect the actors to go by the books when the screenwriters and directors don't? She was the best for the part when it was being cast, and I'm happy with her portrayal of Hermione. And Dan... I'll admit that his acting made me cringe in PoA, but he has improved since then. I think the trio is made up of good actors, so congrats to Dan and Emma, and I'll just cross my fingers for Rupert the next time something like this comes around.

Posted by ah14ofia Jun 28th 2006

why isn't rupert in this too?!?

Posted by Weazlebee Jun 28th 2006

Too bad only one person can be best actor and since emma happens to be female Rupert left out of this one. Oh well, Dan had a whole lot more happen to him in GoF anyways. I think he deserves an award for all the hard work. Emma too.

Posted by elven_eyes Jun 28th 2006

Rupert totally kissed ass in that movie (more than in PoA, anyway). Wtf. Ugh. He is such a better actor!

Posted by elven_eyes Jun 28th 2006

OH! I totally meant "kicked" =O Sorry, Rupert kicked ass in that movie. Am I even allowed to say ass? Oops. Gosh, I wish these comments were delete-able!

Posted by jasmine Jun 28th 2006

The posters who are saying that Rupert is the best of the three have eaten some sour grapes methinks. He has some talent and I'm sure he was also nominated but awards like these usuallu short list tne nominees into just a few so the voting is manageable. Rupert is just not good enough to be included in the final list. He provides some comic relief in the films but sometimes the twins are funnier than him so what's his edge over the others? Not enough for him to win an award.

Posted by Kit_weasley Jun 28th 2006

don't get all in a tiffy about rupe. Dan and emma are getting this award, but Rupert has just finished a movie which now has an american distributor and I'm sure will be well recieved. he'll get plenty of credit for driving lessons. it's a fantastic film, i saw it at tribeca, and jeremy brock is right, he is WAY underused in the HP films, he did a phenomenal job. i'm not usually all in the emma, dan and rupe thing, but this movie suprised me and i may just becoming a rupert fan.

Posted by maura31293 Jun 28th 2006

Best of luck to both of you! You guys are greay actors and fit the roles prefectly! But, what happened to Rupert??? He definatly deserves to be nominated! Anyway, congradulations to you both!

Posted by trevorthetoad Jun 28th 2006

poor rupert...he always gets left out. :'(. we love you anyway!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Maurader4 Jun 28th 2006

what? no Rupert? that sucks majorly!!!! oh well..... *sigh*

Posted by lizzybennet Jun 28th 2006

Oh my God! this is soooooooooooooooooooo cool! You guys totally deserve it. I sooooooooooooo hope you win. Yet Rupert also acted good. I wish they could give him somehting....YAY DAN AN EMMA YAY!!!!

Posted by Janey Jun 28th 2006

@jasmine: You can blame that on the writers, not Rupert.

Posted by ilovesidneycrosby8787 Jun 28th 2006

HAHA..THIS IS EXACTLY LIKE IN THE BOOK....EMMA AND DAN IN THE SPOTLIGHT, AND RUPERT JUST WATCHING FROM THE SIDELINES...

Posted by Patronus Jun 28th 2006

ugh. I agree that Rupert could do better in portraying Ron, but a lot of it is the screenwriter's script... that has a lot to do with it. Dan's acting is really good now, i'm impressed. But... Emma? ugh. just ugh. She was okay in the first one, and maybe in the second one, but what happened to know-it-all Hermione??? Now she's preppy, and with an attitude. I don't like Emma's acting at all. She's too pretty to be Hermione, and i think she knows how pretty she is, but Hermione doesn't need to act conceited.

Posted by ilovesidneycrosby8787 Jun 28th 2006

Patronus 12___i agree with you. it never was said in the books that hermione was pretty, and in the movies she does get a little bitchy. but also, in the 6th book, shes more of the "bad guy" to ron a harry. she's almost a pain. wjat happened to fun-loving, know-it-all hermione?
