UGh, I find this annoying. I hope the franchised is still good then or movie sales r gonna go down. Jeezz... I started reading Harry Potter in 5th grade and the movies are going to end when im like 22. Same as Emma. Come on, 22 and playing 17?

Well, i can't wait to find out what'll happen especially since they've split it, and they can fit in loads more, but i can't help but feel kind of sad... it won't be 7 anymore! It'll be 8, and not the same as the books... I mean, Jo made it 7 books, 7 years at Hogwarts... because 7 is the most powerfully magical number... And i still wonder if it'll be called Part 1 and Part 2.. Doesn't sound much like a movie, in a way, does it? :S

er you guys either meant that part 1 was coming on november of 2009 or part 2 coming on 2011 but wont they look a bit older than they should by that time? :(

GreenEyes: Don't worry about the age difference, it's okay, that's how it usually works anyway. Most actors who play 16 are 21. Lol. Most of the One Tree Hill cast were already college students when they filmed the pilot and they played 16 & 17 for like 4 years. So no worries about the age difference. As for the Two books...wooo two books?? So basically the just took HPDH and tore the book in half and said: okay print it! That's kinda retarded, why are they going to do that when the WHOLE book is already out and has been out for years (by that time it'll be years)?? It's retarded, just a big sales thing to go along with the movies. I mean all HP fans will already have the 7th book, it's just basically rebuying what we already have (and what we already know!) But whatev. I love HP and B/c I do, I will give my money to buy the two books, because I have no backbone when it comes to HP. ::sigh:: lol I already got like two copies of each book, (which will be three b/c im getting that super cool 7 set chest). emm, billyjbradshaw I think when they said they're splitting the last book in half that they meant for the films, not that they're actually going to reprint the entire second half of DH as a book in itself? And also, is it the first half is actually out november 2009, not ten, and the second half is may 2010? Or the first half is out in november 2010, and the second half is actually may 2011? Boy I hope its the first one!

GreenEyes, they're splitting the last MOVIE in 2 parts. They aren't reprinting the 2 books.

i wouldnt worry to much about the actors...its tue, this is done all the time in hollywood, its gunna be fine. i will be about to turn 20 when this comes out...omg thats so scary lol. hwvr, i am a life long hp fan, and tho i dont want to wait im glad to magic will stretch out. also, i hope splitting the movie will allow them to REALLY do it right. i feel none of the movies so far have come anywhere near to teh books, so i guess we have to wait (until 2010!!) and see

Once again, let me state what a magnificently BAD idea it is to split DH into two movies. Excuse me if I don't get excited about this. Longer books have been done in one movie - and done very WELL. This is simply a) a bald-faced expression of WB's greed; and b) a terrible artistic choice, because now you're going to have more fluff than stuff, and the story is going to get lost... just like CoS. In fact, I can't think of a single example of one book getting split into two movies that was a GOOD idea or turned out well. Not a single one. And yes, for consistency, I maintain the same attitude towards the upcoming duology planned for The Hobbit. Bad, bad, bad idea.

Funny as this sounds, I agree with all of you guys. All of you bring great point of views on the subject, but you have to realize that the long you have to wait for something as inportant as the hp series is, the more you will pay for the thing or event. It all has to do with MONEY!!! Also I do belive that some hp fans with not want to wait that long and loss interest in the series, by the time the first part of movie 7 comes out. So I wouldn't be surprised if the company losses money. I love hp but not to wait two years to see the ending of the series and by the way by the time part one comes out, I will be 21 and a half and in my Third year of collage.

I'll be a sophomore in college by then!

once again,thankful for 2 parts to the movie. But 2 whole years to wait for it after HBP comes out in theaters! thats a longgg time. but it will be worth it in the long run because we will all have something to look forward to. =]

Holy crap! Thats a long time, but its not as if it wasnt expected. Why couldn't be at least early 2010, because if Nov. '10 really is when its going to be realesed, that will have been 2 whole years since the 6th movie will have come out!!!! Honestly, I don't know if I can wait that long lol. But I'm a true HP fan so i suppose I will have too :( But I'm glad their making sure they have enough time to make it absolutely perfect. So i suppose I realy wouldnt want it any other way

Oh and i thought of another thing. If the movie is being split into 2 parts, then dont you think when all the promo pics come out, they'll reprint the first half, with HPDH part 1 on the cover. You know, like they do with all books that become movies, they just reprint it and change the cover, maybe the thickness and font size and stuff, you know to make it all ready for the movie. Of course, Jo may want to write a dif ending to part 1. So it probably wont happen, but still there is a chance
