Hogsmeade structures begin to appear at Wizarding World
Over the past few months, we've been updating you on various construction photos from The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Today, Screamscape.com has a few new pictures from construction, most notably one of a building from Hogsmeade Village.We've also received word from a source who tells us that the entire Lost Continent area will close in early 2009 to make way for The Wizarding World. Two places inside Lost Conintent, the Voyage of Sinbad and Dueling Dragons (a show and a ride respectively) will both be kept but converted to Potter.
It's important to take this information with a grain of salt until we get official confirmation, even though rumors have been rampant lately about The Lost Continent's future. Thanks to Trish and Katie for the tips!

I cannot wait to go there! I am going to practically live there when it opens. I would love to work there too, that would defiantly be a dream job for the summer or something!!! I will be there opening day. (Kelsey, are you there?)
Goodness, I do hope they do something about all those palm trees... for some reason I don't they would make it all feel authentic.
Anyone else bothered that it's in Florida? I think it should have been in Britain, so I could get there lol =] and the fact that HP is originally British. But suppose you'll get more Britons going over there than Americans coming here.

Well, it's not like JK Rowling is making th park, Orlando Studios saw an opportunity and took it. The fact that it's not in Britain is beside the point. Britain could have their own theme park as well, if they funded it.
When I saw the name Dueling Dragons on there I panicked for a second. I am glad that they are keeping it. That is one of my favorite rides at Universal Orlando. I can't wait to see the final thing even if I will be going as a grad school student. :)
lol, i was at islands of adventure three weekends ago. i was walking past the closed off section for HP and i started like, hyperventilating. there was nothing there yet but still. anyway, i took like 3829478375 pictures of just the area, and of the crane behind the wall, and of the wall itself. a little boy walked up to me and was like, WHY ARE YOU TAKING A PICTURE OF THAT WALL? and i was like ummm HARRY POTTER. it was funny. then me and my friend kevin acccccidentally broke part of the wall so i could get pictures. i love living two hours from universal

I can't beleive they would take the Lost Continent area away for Harry Potter. But hey i dont mind. And they do not need to keep that show. It was corny when i seen it last.

thank goodness the M-net writer has ceased referring to "Wizarding World" as a theme park. The difference between an entire park and one section of a park is significant, and if fans show up expecting an entire theme park, it would lead to a good amount of disappointment. I'm looking forward to a nicely-themed area, and to eating a feast in the Great Hall. (Will the wait-staff be dressed as house elves?)
I can't believe thay're converting Dueling Dragons. =( I'm glad there keeping it but I've been on it so many times, I wish they just built more new ones if u know what I mean. Anyway, I was just in Universal a month ago and my friend and I saw the wall and we were so excited. And, we knid of, accidentally, went past this do not enter sign and looked at the site, there wasn't anything there but we were excited anyway, I can't wait for that park, I'm trying to go on opening day! WEEEE!

I am so excited since I am only 1 hour away! I hope they don't raise ticket prices-even though I would pay anything. And meanwhile, if they close off Lost Continent, how are people going to get around the park?
It looks very cool, I hope they finish very soon, because I can wait to be in one of the rides.
