Yeah! I just wanted to comment (again) and say how happy I was that Voldemort was finally defeated! Such a triumphant and perfect chapter....So awesome! Thanks Jo for memories I'm sure to have for the rest of my life. BTW- Happy St. Potter day is amazing! So is The End of the Dark Lord Day and all the other names.... I love it! Potter Mania is just amazing. :)

But then, a date is wrong! On the family tree which Mugglenet gives a link to, it says Fred died in 1997. But then, apparently Harry defeted Voldemort in 1998. Fred died the same night (or maybe just the day before), that Harry killed Voldemort. I could be wrong, but I think there is an error! Nevertheless, long live Harry!

to everyone who is confused about the years: Harry was born on July 1980. It was hallowin after his first bday when the story started-1981. In the second chapter it says that nearly 10 years have passed from the end of that october-1991. He starts Hogwarts in september the year turns to 1992. In the DH the story(pre epiloge)it is 1997-1998. 19 years later from the end of the book-2017. Voldemort's Defeat was in 1998

But then, a date is wrong! If Fred died in 1997, as it says in J K Rowling's family tree, then how come Voldemort supposedly fell in 1998? Weren't they both on the same night? Is there a wrong date here? Nevertheless - All hail Harry!

Yah Harry... thank you for defeated Voldemort and making the wizarding world safe again. I would have helped to fight Vodemort, but sadly I am still waiting for my Hogwarts letter. :P To JK, thank you for creating the entire series... Hmm.. that's a good idea, Marielle18! I think either 'The Final Battle' or 'Victory Day' or 'The Battle of Hogwarts'... There must have been a reason why Jo named that chapter 'The Battle of Hogwarts'.. It's a historical moment in wizarding history and is now a part of Hogwart's history too, isn't it? It'll be there forever; The Battle of Hogwarts. It doesn't have to be a complicated, long name; just something with meaning. It was a battle between good and evil and it took place at Hogwarts. So, it should be called The Battle of Hogwarts! It was Voldemort's downfall, yes, but so many things happened that day.. So, no, i don't think 'Voldie Got PWNed Day' is good, or 'Voldemort's Downfall Day' or 'The Day The Dark Lord Died' very fitting for it. Many people died today and we want to commerate the people who died fighting Voldemort, as well as Harry and all who fought there, or assisted in defying the Dark Lord. "So we'll raise our pumpkin juice and our Butterbeer and sing about the great things they've done. 'Cause we're happy now Voldemort's defeated, and we'll cheer for Harry who's won!"

Hey, nobody noticed, that it was the 11th anniversary? On JK website in Room of Requirement you can read, that Fred died in 1997, and Dumbledore in Wizard of the Month section has the date of death - 1996! So the battle of Hogwarts was in 1997 - 11 years from now!
