AbeBooks names JK Rowling Most Collectible Author
AbeBooks names JK Rowling Most Collectible Author AbeBooks.com, a site for finding new and used books of all types, analyzed sales data from 2007 and created a list of the top collectible authors. JK Rowling took the top spot followed by Roderick Gordon, Brian Williams, and Stephen King:

On-going demand for signed Harry Potter books means Rowling tops the index although few first editions of her debut book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, reach the market. An autographed Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows sold for $5,500 just after its release last July.

If you're in the market for a signed Potter novel, we recommend you check out our friends at JKR's Army. They'll tell you what to look out for when shopping for a genuine JK Rowling signature. Thanks to Ali for the tip!

Posted by tiassa May 4th 2008

yeah, Ill go around wearing my only hp shirt and singing happy bday. and the whole school will look at me weird but thats no weirder then coming up to people saying some large 3 digit number and saying its the number of days till the next movie, so...

Posted by Roonil May 4th 2008

Woot! That's exciting. I wish I had a signed book.

Posted by Rose37 May 4th 2008

The only thing I have related to hp is my hp hat and hats aren't allowed in school and most like not allowed during exam days. Any ideas on how I can still wear my hp hat, but not get into trouble, because I don't want to make a mistake that will cause me my graduation.

Posted by tiassa May 5th 2008

actually we're have a dress code too. maybe you can attach the hat to your bag? it depends on the hat, I don't know. I need to find a loophole too

Posted by Rose37 May 6th 2008

Thanks for all of your ideas, everyone, but I think I know what I am going to do or more like I know what I am going to wear on hp day. I have a necklice of a wizard and the necklice main piece broke in half, so all I have lefted is the head of a wizard. That day I could wear black and white, like I am going to a funeral and wear the wizard's head necklice in behalf of Dumbledore's death. How does that show for a good idea??? Does that show hp spirt???

Harry learned quickly not to feel too sorry for the gnomes. He decided just to drop the first one he caught over the hedge, but the gnome, sensing weakness, sank its razor-sharp teeth into Harry's finger and he had a job shaking it off — until — "Wow, Harry — that must've been fifty feet..."
