Natalia Tena talks about her role in Half-Blood Prince
Natalia Tena talks about her role in Half-Blood Prince SnitchSeeker.com was at Collectormania 13 in England and spoke with Natalia Tena, who plays Tonks in Order of the Phoenix and Half-Blood Prince. Tena revealed that she has completed filming for HBP:

The only scene Natalia has filmed for the movie, isn't actually in the book at all. She was only on set for the part where Death Eaters attack the Burrow at Christmas (where Harry & the Weasleys are present). She said that none of the angst of her character is there - indeed, she and Lupin are just suddenly a couple when they meet there.

Whats the point? This is rediculous. They are spending precious movie watching time with some TOTALLY made up scene. Stick to the plot. It looks to me as this woman who plays Tonks has not read the Harry Potter books. They could fill up the that time with the Romilda/ chocolate couldrons scene. It looks like it won't be in the movie. Tonks/Lupin isn't till DH. Why stick it somewhere where it does not belong? I really wanted to see gloomy tonks. THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

ummmmmmmmmmmm.......why on may 23 were hp stuff? just curious!

Posted by GinGin May 6th 2008

What the - ? The Death Eaters DON'T attack the Burrow at Christmas! I understand that they can't put everything from the book in the movie, but there are limits. They are trying to reinvent the story.

Posted by dobbyXkreacher May 6th 2008

umm thats just ****sdnasdjashdjashds**** (insert choice words there) they can't just add a deatheater attack the burrow fight scene! it throws off the plot... part of the story is how tonks and remus get together.. there is no point in having their relationship if they just randomly become a couple. it just doesn't work. its part of the angsty feeling in half-blood prince

Posted by dobbyXkreacher May 6th 2008

o well i'll still see the movie no matter how much i disapprove of the current news. i wish chris columbus was directing the 7th so far i think he did the best job

Posted by hpfan4ever07 May 6th 2008

It has been a day and I'm still disappointed with this news. Why the heck do I still bother with the movies? Oh yeah, it was because I actually liked the 4th movie...at least it didn't add stuff and the stuff they took out wasn't that important.

Posted by AnyaMarcos May 6th 2008

Shoot, I was looking forward to that scene where she convinces Lupin to be with her. Oh well, at least they are a couple.

Posted by weasleyismyking17 May 6th 2008

what is all this talk about harry potter?

Posted by phoenix_knight May 6th 2008

GOOD, it's nice to see that everyone is getting over this news now, lol. Anyway, wasn't TONKS apart of the Battle of the Lightning-Struck Tower??? I could've sworn i read her in that battle....

Posted by dobby_rocks May 6th 2008

I surely hope this is some bad Joke and that NT has just not be called up for more scenes yet. Seriously you

Posted by Hedwig8 May 6th 2008

Everyone is bashing David Yates for the scenes that are being cut but he's not the one who wrote the script. I was dissappointed about Tonks and Lupin too but I don't think that is Yates fault.

Posted by yues_woman May 7th 2008

That's it. I hate the film already.

Posted by genaquitegaunt May 7th 2008

noooooo!!!!! that is just retarded! tonks and lupin shouldn't be together til dh!! the whole scene in the hospital wing is ruined!!! if they just drop it on us like that, then the whole movie would just be confusing. AND... wtf?!?!?!? death eathers at christmas??? is anyone else startled by this information? because scrimgeour and persy DOES NOT EQUAL DEATH EATERS!! my god ,i swear im gonna get the director back for this, ootp, and gof!! arghhhh

Posted by Lishi May 7th 2008

Actually, small plot changes dont have to go through JKR first, for the most part she doesnt have much say in what happens. She signs the rights off, and then has little to do with it after that. If every minor change had to go through her first, she wouldnt have time to eat, sleep, or a have a life. (At least back when she was busy writing HP.) Anyways, I've long since accepted that books get slaughtered when turned into films, so I'm going to take note if its a good movie, as just a movie, and not if its a good movie, based off a book.

Posted by quidditchquaffle May 7th 2008

Let's just face it, the Harry Potter movies were a mistake since they released the franchise. I only see them for the CGI and because four of my favorite actors of all time are in it.

Posted by Emma_Granger_Rulz May 7th 2008

man isn't anyone excited of watching something we don't know about in the film! Like that burrow scene wasn't in the book , so it will be cool to watch something we don't know about and wasn't in the book! It will be a suprise for us readers. Has anyone thought about that????

Posted by Lonnie May 7th 2008

VoldiePoo, it's not Nats fault in what is being cut. And she has read the books, but what does that have to do with it? I think the Burrow scene sounds good, BUT if it costs other more important parts of the books to be cut for it- no way!

Posted by yues_woman May 7th 2008

Dear David Yates, I hate you. Go burn, A Rathy Angry Tonks/Lupin Fan.

*Dear David Yates, I hate you. Go burn, A Rather Angry Tonks/Lupin Fan.

Posted by swim_elf May 7th 2008

My feelings exactly! I say we go one step further and Avada Kedavra! Then the true fans can take over!!

Posted by crkshnks May 7th 2008

To lonnie and kermann (yesterday's posts): You're right about one thing...WB is not making this movie for the fans. They were NEVER making these movies for the fans. WB started making these movies because HP was turning into a successful franchise and they wanted to get in on the cash. WB is a huge corporation; do you honestly think they have ever been interested in what the fans want? No. As much as David Heyman talks about pleasing the fans, the decision to actually make DH into 2 movies came from higher up. And I can guarantee you that their decision had very little, if anything, to do with what the fans want. They're just happy that they'll get double the money from this book.

Posted by Ginny_Weasly_rocks_13 May 7th 2008

i agree....weshould take over! but i strongly disagree about useing the avada kedvra curse just for that situation.....i think thats totally wrong!!!!!! the imperious curse would be al right to use...cause ur not hurting anyone or killing anyone ur jsut controlling! or we could cast amemory charm on them cahnge the movie into what WE WANT and make them forget everything like lockheart! :) yeah thats A LOT BETTER THAN AVADA KEDAVRA!!!

Posted by Ginny_Weasly_rocks_13 May 7th 2008

like i said be4 not hte avada kedvra!

"Posted by sootyface 1 day ago How in the name of Merlin's saggy left *insert word of choice here* do they think that adding a random scene in the middle and cutting the coolest couple is going to help the advance the plot in any way? Merlin. I mean, I could cope with them cutting Remus and Tonks if it was an absolute must (but they've cut Bill and Fleur as well - wtfudge?) but adding a random new fight scene? That is out of line. Very out of line. The whole point about HBP is that Harry thinks that something is going to happen, and everyone tells him that nothing's going to happen, and it feels like nothing's happening, and then WHAM you're on the tower and Dumbledore's dead. It's what separates the fifth, sixth and seventh from being one over-active hyped up mushed together mess, which I think will happen if they try to put action where JK has put rest and character development. Oh, sweet Merlin, if only I was a real witch I'd risk Azkaban and put the imperius on David Yates. " Ditto! WTH are they doing? I WAS looking forward to seeing the movie, but if they're going to @#$% it up this much, maybe I'll just wait and rent it! GEEZ!!

Posted by sootyface May 7th 2008

Thanks CrookshanksGranger, I'm glad you agree. However, I would just like to say, although no one is probably going to read this; To Phoenix Knight: Please don't tell the rest of us to shut up. You are right, this is a place where we can say whatever we like, and express our opinions, I accept that - but that doesn't give you the right in any way to act as though your opinion is worth any more than mine or anyone else's; that's bull. Don't be a troll; if you expect respect of your opinion then you have to respect ours, okay? Thank you. And to the rest of you, lets try to stay cool with each other. Don't feed the trolls, people. H.

Posted by Alightinthedark89 May 7th 2008

What the...? I'm not too happy with this. I have never been a big fan of the movies ever since the third one, but this is just unacceptable. The movies have never truly followed the books and that's what pissed me off from the beginning. They just keep adding things that are not supposed to be there and taking stuff out that is. *sigh* Tonks and Lupin aren't even supposed to be involved until the seventh one. At the end of the sixth one is when Tonk's feelings for Lupin are supposed to be revealed. What is wrong with the people in charge of the movies? I know that not all the things from the books can be inserted into the movies for time purposes, but why then add [pointless] things when time is so precious?

Posted by PotionsMistress May 7th 2008

thats sooooo stupid! there is a nice big background on the 2 that is amazing, and its not something that shoul dbe left out! and remus and tonks are AMAZING characters! they need to have big parts so when they pass on, it's a bigger blow to everyone aside formthose who read the books! and besides, Nat is the best! i mean come on, if you're going to take on something so big, do it right!!!!! *kicks the person who decided that tonks and remus would have small parts*

Posted by Ginny_Weasly_rocks_13 May 8th 2008

ok....phoenix_knight! im sorry about what i said earlier about you being retartded! i can see your point of veiew now! i mean it will be cool to have ascence in the movie we know nothing about! it will make it even more exciting! and i guess tonks' scences or fine to be taken out im not mad about that anymore i just kinda wish they had enough room for her though! oh well it's not that big of a deal when you really think about it! :) sorry phoenix_knight...friends? :)

DAVID YATES IS GOING TO BUTCHER THE POTTER MOVIES. I ALMOST WISH JRK HAD PUBLISHED THE BOOK THIS YEAR, AFTER FILMING. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN GREAT TO WATCH YATES SQUIRM AND TRY TO GO ALONG WITH ONLY THE FIRST SIX BOOKS AS A GUIDLINE. Sorry, I'm wicked po'd about this. Because you know this man is just going to use the plotline from book 7 to do this movie. And I found out about this from a video one of my friends posted on facebook! Good luck digging your own grave, David. BTW, does he think book six is so lacking in conflict that he had to go and create some totally random scene where the burrow gets attacked and burned to the ground? Man, I'm angry!

Posted by Mrspadfoot_007 May 8th 2008

WHAT....No train scene that part has to be in it! what are they doing?

Posted by phoenix_knight May 8th 2008

yeah, that's ok Ginny_Weasly_rocks_13, we can be friends, lol! After all, isn't that what Harry Potter fans are all about? ;)

Posted by nymphadora_nat May 8th 2008

i just can't believe this... you're right mrspadfoot_007 that scene should be in the movie.. and it's full of conflict enough for the readers to appreciate the story... i mad at this when i found out but it's finished... hmmm.. if i'm going to watch that movie i won't even notice tonks in there anymore, just so sad about it.. but there's no point in arguing anymore...

Posted by Ginny_Weasly_rocks_13 May 8th 2008

GREAT phoenix_knight!! lol your righ that is what hp fans are all about! cool glad were friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!:) dont have many friends on here! whats your name im lily!

Posted by voldivoice May 9th 2008

awww come on! Tonks and Lupin are some of my favourite characters and they are practically cutting them out! and whats this about deatheaters attacking the burrow?! at christmas! i think they may be moving from the plot a bit too much, stick to the way its written! its the most famous series in the world for a reason!

Posted by bongahead 6 days ago

Isn't it interesting Natalia Tena's initials are N.T. and so are Nymphadora Tonks'?

Posted by Fia 4 days ago

All the movies are stupid that are directed by david heyman. He cuts out too much and adds unneeded scenes. Let's sue him! JK! :) I love the books loads better!
