This is off the subject, but I thought I'd mention it since we're talking about computer games. There's a new game called Diamonds in the Rough, by an independent game developer. The theme is a bit bizarre and disturbing, but the game is very, very good. The reason I mention it is at one point, the characters are having a dialogue, and one asks the other 'what sets you apart from the muggles'? Later, there's a reference to 'that wasn't pumpkin juice he drank'. The game has nothing to do with HP, but the developer threw in these lines assuming common knowledge of these words!

That would be the worst MMORPG on the planet. Where would you go? Hogwarts, London, a couple towns? There needs to be more built into the potter universe to create a good game. What would you do? Attend classes? You can't really fight anything unless you spawn Death Eaters all over the place. There'd be no goal... and it probably wouldn't get much more than HP fans as a community.

It will be cool if you can be in class or something in that matter, please tell us if that will be possible or not. But I still love it.

I've been waiting and telling everyone that a Harry Potter MMORPG is unavoidable. Now that the whole series is (unfortunatly) comepleted, I see no reason for WB to start working on such a game. I really DO hope that they let us fans have a good say on which direction the game is going, and decissions being made ETC. but that might be too much to ask for. A note to MuggleNet: When we have a confirmation of a HP MMORPG, could you guys try and persuade WB to maybe let fans have their own forum etc, where we can share ideas, objections and anything game related? As I (and I think I'm not alone in thinking this) don't want a MMORPG based on my favorite books to be ruined because of whatever reasons (commercial?) I feel it's crucial for WB to also listen to the fanbase and their reactions/opinions ETC. P.S. LOL at World of Potter. Meh! That name won't do, but funny. :) My guess of names would be something like; Harry Potter: Online. Hogwarts Online doesn't really work either in my opinion. HP isn't just about Hogwarts (even if the story is rather fond of the place and me as well :)). Thanks for the newspost!

There is a Hogwarts OnLine, it's web address is www.hol.org.uk, it's really fun. It's more like a real school, you take real classes and get points and homework and stuff.

I think it would be cool, a HP version of WOW or EQ(everquest). You can go to alot of places...there could be a bazzar like in EQ where you buy or sell things. You can fight different creatures depending on your levels or what you are. You can fight in groups to make it easier, apparate, spells of course..you could go to the different schools from the triwizard tournament. you can loot from the dead things you find or kill. You can go into the forbidden forest. i mean you can really go anywhere in the world it doesnt have to be limited to hogwarts, the town or the forest. Hey if your in a high enough level you could probably go to romania where most of the dragons are. you can speacialize in wand making or potion making and sell to others. I mean there are tons of things you can do so i dont think it would be a complete disaster. i mean idk if it would be as popular as WOW but you never know. they made a starwars version of it so i dont see why this wont be a possibility. I see it as a way to keep HP alive and for kids all over the world to communicate and play together. I agree about the names though. Itll be kind of hard when everyone wants to name their characters from the books. Unless they wont let you because those characters can be PC players. Oh and not to mention you can choose to be students, and get put into your house of choice or w/e else they might have deatheaters, teachers, or even creatures...Idk i guess we will have to see if they make it or not. to see how it actually will be.

I still think they should make an official Harry Potter version of The Sims... dude They'd make tons of money.

@ginmo: yes! I second that notion! only it shouldn't be a sim project. Just like the sims in way. I think it should be more liek the pokemon games where 'certain' needs (like a bathroom or a shower) are exed out.
