JK Rowling speaking at Harvard commencement today
UPDATE (4:10 PM EST): JK Rowling's speech has concluded! A video and transcript will be online here this evening.Back in January we told you about JK Rowling speaking at Harvard's Commencement Ceremony, and today is the big day!
We also told you the other day that the speech will be streamed live online... it should start at 2:30 PM EST at this link, which is soon. The Hardvard Crimson has an article about Jo's visit, who is also receiving an honorary degree today:
Comparing Rowling to yesterday’s Class Day speaker, Federal Reserve Chair Ben S. Bernanke ’75, Professor Maria Tatar, who teaches a course on childhood, said she thinks Rowling will deliver “a witty, inspiring talk that steers clear of the subprime crisis and gas prices but will still engage with tough, real-world issues.”

i only saw the last minute of her speech but when i watched them applauding for a minute and a half, i thought it must've been one he** of a speech. im going to watch the video of it when it comes out.
