The Sunday Mirror reported earlier today that Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling has written a story that is set to become a mini-movie used at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter when it opens in late 2009 or early 2010.
Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are said to shoot the mini-movie prior to initial filming of Deathly Hallows. The article stated:
"They are also working on extra sequences and clips which will be part of the rides."
Rowling has reportedly been involved throughout the process. Please treat this as a rumor for now as The Mirror is not the most reliable news source.

IF its true, sounds like the All Gods Village walkthough movie thing that was in a Japanese themepark a long while ago. I wish I had seen it. I suppose, depending upon this mini story she may or may not have wrote, Id like to see this too.

I dont know how likely it is that the trio, being such "stars" as they are now, would be caught dead filming something for an amusement park, regardless of the subject. It wouldnt be "artistically rewarding", or whatever BS mumbo jumbo actors say to mean that it doesnt pay enough. I will be skeptical until proven wrong.

Awesome idea, but we get the Mirror delivered daily (due to my stepmums reliance on celebrity news, and the Mirror seemingly acts as a tabloid form of a gossip magazine), and trust me, the Mirror really can spew some guff. So, fingers crossed, but I doubt this is legitimate.

There is a Spiderman ride at that same park, where Toby Maguires voice is used as his character is interacting with you on the ride. It is a moving simulator ride that uses a multiple movie screens, so it could possible for this story to be true.
I am very excited about the new Harry rides at the park and there is no way it will disappoint.
Ill be there on day one for sure:) I think passholders will get to "test" the rides first, since that is what they did when the new Simpsons ride came out.

Totally random comment, but, who else wants to ride a coaster right now??? Im going insane! I. Want. To. Ride. The. Rockin. Rollercoaster!!!! Or Soarin... Or Tower of Terror. Too bad I live in Alabama and Disney isnt close by. Only 13-15 hours by car. I would know. The jazz band and choral ensemble drove there in April.

Haha I like your comment Fia. I just got back from Disney World less than an hour ago. Soarin is the BEST! I had never been on it before, and I was so excited. I didnt get to go on Rockin Rollercoaster, though. I cant wait until the Harry Potter thing opens at Universal so I can ride rollercoasters there!!!

Oh yeah! How was Disney? Wasnt it pure AWESOMNESS? The choral ensembleand jazz band were considered honorary cast members at Disney... We stayed for 4 days. And when we sang, the dudes screwed the CDs up, plus it was boiling! We had to wear khaki pants and black polos. But we could change into shorts after. I wanted to ride Test Track that night, but my friends boyfriend said the line wasnt moving. We rode Soarin (the wait was over 80 minutes) and they still hadnt moved. But, yes, Soarin was the best! I still think the Rockin Rollercoaster is the best coaster! I love the speed! We have to go to the Potter theme park together thepottertwins and ride every coaster!!!

I wouldnt get too excited about the "new story". The rides are short, so the story may only have a few lines before you get into the action of the thing. The other rides that have a "story" arent anything groundbreaking, they are actually pretty forced. It isnt going to be anything better than that prequel.
The spiderman ride starts with spiderman saying, "what are you doing here, this is dangerous. Well stay back and I will get us out of this" or something cheesy like that and then you ride through the rest of the action. So that could be all there is to the "new story".

This is going to be the greatest thing ever. I live an hour from the park and get alot of inside scoop from employees there. Apparently JK Rowlings opions and input are regarded as the highest of importance. She has a VERY hands on role with the new theme park. From what Ive been told by upper management she had a HUGE say in wether Disney or Universal got the grant for the park after their bidding presentation to get the rights. Universals presentation and royalty bid was massive compared to that of what Disney offered.
