Anticipation has been high for the Half-Blood Prince teaser trailer, which is long overdue in comparison to the Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix releases.
According to our latest poll, 50% of you believe that the trailer will be released with WB's The Dark Knight. That now looks more likely than ever, with this tip coming in from MuggleNet reader Taylor:
I work at a movie theatre in San Francisco and we recently received our official word on print delivery for our IMAX print of Dark Knight. In the e-mail giving us the date of arrival they added that we could expect our Half Blood Prince trailer for that print to arrive two days after- over a week prior to the 12:01 a.m. release of Dark Knight!! Yay!!
Please consider this a rumor until Warner Brothers gives us official word. We'll keep you updated!

I also work at a movie theater and have access to the trailer list and no theater usually receives a trailer list until the week when the theater receives the print of the movie. Im not that saying that this person is lying but it is highly unlikely that the theater received it. I would treat this as a BIG rumor. Anyway but I have a feeling that it will be on Dark Knight though.

The thing is, although all of us are dying to see the Teaser Trailer of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I can guarantee that each and every one of us is going to be shatteringly disappointed. Because Teaser Trailers are always so completely useless. So WB made a huge mistake hyping it up so much. Because, well, that just leads to utter disappointment.

prattdaddy: Im the one who sent in the tip- i am the manager of my theatre and did not find out about the trailer through our MPT e-mail. If you have ever seen an IMAX film you may have noticed they rarely have trailers on them- usually just the pre-show that tells about all the speakers and the high resolution and what not. IMAX prints also takes days to build because they are roughly four times bigger than a 35mm print and the build up tables top speed is less than half of a regular one. We are receiving our print on July 8th and they let us know that the trailer would arrive two days later to ensure our projectionist leaves enough room at the front of the film to add it. So you may all treat this like a rumor if you want, but my information is more or less as accurate as you can get- being as it came from WB.

Is it possible that there could be a trailer (or something like that) of HBP on the Family Channel this weekend since they are having a "Harry Potter" weekend? Starting Friday night (July 4) with Sorcerers Stone. Then Saturday from 1:30 pm until midnight, showing the first 3 movies and ending on Sunday from 10 am until midnight showing movies 2, 3, and 4. (Sunday night they are showing GOF 2X.)

This makes me so excited because I have been dying to see the Dark Knight anyway for a long time. I know some people may think the whole Heath Ledger being in this movie is a little creepy but I disagree with that because it will be one of his best movies ever and he really played the joker amazingly so the joker will probably be my favorite characters. The HBP teaser trailor comng out is just icing on the cake to an excellent movie.

Im just going to wait for mugglenet to post it. Its just a trailer. We already know what happens anyway--we wont really be able to find out anything that was cut/added until we actually see the movie itself. But I cant lie, I am excited for it! Thanks to Dragon_queen4ever for the hopeful thought that just came to my mind. In the dark knight an actor got killed, either during or before the filming of the upcoming movie. During the filming of hp movie six, the young actor got killed as well. So in the end, wb would have to give tribute to the falling actors!!! Just another reason why The HP movie six and The Dark Knight movies fit together nicely!!!

sweet hopefully this is true i really cannot wait...umm also i was just looking at the imdb.com cast list for this movie and they have Regulus Black on it..and i really dont remember him showing up in the 6th book except for his initials in the locket..so what could that possibly mean?

Did anyone else notice that the tip said "Half-Blood Prince Trailer" and not teaser trailer? Could this mean Warner Bros. are skipping straight to full trailer? I think thats what theyll need to do this late in the game.

HEY....Does everyone realize that if Harry Potter comes out with the Dark Knight that Gary Oldmen (Sirius Black) is in the Dark Knight, so it is ironic isnt it.

I am hoping to watch the Harry Potter weekend on the Family channel. I am hoping that the teaser trailer will show up. Um, by the way, whats the difference between a teaser trailer and a regular trailer? To me, a trailer is a preview of a movie. I dont go to movies very often.

@ merrymarge - I`m not really sure what they mean, but from what I gathered from my years experience w/ the trailers: a teaser is just a shorter one?! And there is an international one, which is much longer than the teaser. (;

Im amazed we dont have more of a confirmation on this trailer by now. I used to manage a theater and put prints together at the early hours of the morning. Usually the feature film would arrive a few days prior to release and the trailers to be included with the trailer would be either sent with the film or in a separate overnight bag with a print out confirming which film it should be attached to. With no one confirming receipt of the trailer or the sheet outlining the trailers to be attached it makes me a bit worried its not on DN - not even a picture of the unbroken trailer with all these HP fans out there? Seems odd to me! But I will continue to HOPE!

OMG!!! What in the world did I do wrong!!! Anyways I just wanted to say, that if the trailer shows anything for movie six during this weekends hp special on Family Channel, I am sad to say, I wont be happy, for I dont have cable at home. Secondly Lily_Potter34, I say you are wrong, for having an actor in both The Dark Knight movie and Hp movie six will only make more sense with having the two movies together in one!!! @ Braves841... regulus black was in a picture in slughorns office, and because pictures move in hp, they had to cast him as opposed to just taking his picture. apparently he just stands there anyways. it threw me off when they said he was cast because he was in a picture and then i remembered that they moved lol. so.. yeah.

Okay, so I was watching this show on ABC Family, and it had this commercial that they were going to show Goblet of Fire this weekend. But they did NOT mention any HBP sneak peeks at all. So I`m guessing that they will not show HBP clips? No idea. But what you all have to remember is that when they showed OOTP clips on ABC Family, that was like a week before the movie came out. I doubt that theyd show clips from HBP. The movie is too far away in my opinion. Maybe a sneak peek (which I doubt - but not as much as a clip) - but those sneak peeks could be from the OOTP dvd.

Oh thank God! I cant wait for it to finally come out. Ive been going other movies hoping to see it and then the disappointment of the trailer not being there absolutely sucks! And I really dont want to go see Dark Knight. Im not a big fan of MARVEL. So does anyone know if there are any other movies with the trailer as one of its preveiws? If not I guess Im just going to have to go see Dark Knight.
