Snitch Seeker has informed us of a couple new quotes coming from Half-Blood Prince director David Yates and Dan Radcliffe. Yates reportedly had this to say about the opening of the film, courtesy The Sun:
We’re opening with a big attack. We’ll bring a major London landmark crashing down.
Back in March, we provided you with details of filming going on at Millenium Bridge. We told you was that it was all for a "bridge collapsing scene," which is likely what Yates refers to in this interview.
Radcliffe also talks in the article, comparing HBP to the film Trainspotting. We'll let you if a more complete interview comes online from the original source: Empire Magazine.

Jk rowlings version of the funeral with dumbledore and the people talking and Harry saying that he cant be with Ginny, was just perfect. I wonder how they are going to do it? anyways . . . in the book wasnt the bridge collasping scene not even a scene? It was just mentioned in the conversation. so I dunno if thats gonna be the action scene at the beginning at the movie.

I thought that it was just a guess, but during that month I had so much school so I didnt go on and see that post. :] anyways, I am so happy that it is opening with a big scene and very actiony! It will get a lot of people "into" the movie.

OKAY EVERYONE! THIS DUMBLEDORES FUNERAL THINGS HAS GONE TOO FAR!
for a start, we dont have a direct quote so natalina tenas words could have been twisted (however unintentionally). secondly, me and many others always interpreted it that tonks role in dumbledores funeral was cut (the remus-tonks kiss), nto the funeral itself. please, stop complaining.
Secondly, this news is BRILLIANT! I cant think for a better way to start the film, and get across the terror of Voldemorts rise. It would also be a great way to introduce the other minister chapter, we could cut to the Muggle Prime Minister listening to the news on the radio, and we hear the voice of an Opponent blaming it on the Government. The Minsiter turns off the radio, tries to get on with some work, and we hear a cough....

Trainspotting!!! I loved that film. It was one of the best Ive seen. So all the HP kids are going to be battling an addiction to heroin, having sex with underage schoolgirls. Wind up in a drug house where a baby dies because everyone is so out of it that they dont even notice its dead until its decaying in its crib. Wow I didnt know that they were going to change HBP so much but Im all for it.

This is exciting! But what have they taken out? Lets see: the funeral scene (what the Hell! Why did they do that?!), the Gaunts (have fun explaining the ring hallow/horcrux in DH, cause Harry wont have seen it!), and theyve taken out Lupin and Tonks struggling to be together! What have they added? A death eater attack, which totally ruins the concept of Voldemort lying low, which (pardon me if Im wrong) is the main concept of the book: Voldemort is lying low, gathering an army, while Harry finds out info about his past. And has anyone noticed that they didnt find the locket in OOTP? How are they gonna bring that off in HBP? Just curious. Anyway, it could still be good. I wanna see the trailer first, to see how good it is. GO MCCAIN!

I know all of you have read the books, but maybe you should read HBP again. Because in the book there is an bridge attack, and in the book there are drugs too. So all of this would canon. Romilda wants Harry to take a potion so she will have him, in the muggle world that would be drugs, so of course HBP is comparable with a movie like Trainspotting. But this is The Sun, they love to make up things and take other things out of context, so this can be so far of what tht interview is really about, if it actually exist.

IF THEY ARE CUTTING THE FUNERAL SCENE I THINK THIS IS HOW THE SHOULD END IT: Harry, Ron, Hermione, Luna, Neville, Ginny are walking to the castle and in the background they will show you the centaurs(sp?) going back in the forest and the mermaids back in the lake then when they are going in the castle harry would be like " guys ill be up in a minute i have to talk to ginny... alone" so then later ron says " okay" and walks away with hermione, neville and luna. Harry looks at ginny in a serious face and says " ginny i cant be with you, its to dangerouse i dont want to see you get hurt" then ginny would be like " im not going to get hurt" then harry says " ginny please dont make this difficult for me and you, i still love you" " i love you too" then it cuts and g to ron and hermione on a couch and they talk about future things and then the camera is like walking away from them and then it shows the whole castle and it ends.

Sweet, some HBP news! Is it just me or has this been the slowest movie so far? Anyway, the funeral stuff, thats kind of out of left field. Chill out guys, they cant keep everything and as someone already pointed out it may have been a misquote. Im psyched about the bridge collapsing idea, itd be a good way to set the mood. Im so excited for the movie. Everyone seriously needs to calm down though, some people are going overboard. They can do what they want, and none of the movies have been atrocious!

But wtevr, I really dont like how this guy cuts everything out and keeps only minor things in the movie and has just random moments where something important could have been placed in. At least give us a trailer so we have an idea what the movie is going to be like...

Id like to see how this compares to Trainspotting, too. Ive seen Trainspotting, and I have no clue how it parralels HBP (or vice versa). Should be interesting!
