RupertGrint.net has received word that the actor who plays Ron Weasley in the Potter films is working on a new film titled Cherrybomb, for release in 2009:
Set in Belfast, the plot is described to be a "a gritty thriller about two teenagers who get into trouble when they both fall for a beautiful new girl in town."

This is fantastic news. Im really glad to hear that Dan, Rupert and Emma are working on new projects outside our Harry Potter world. Ruperts now done Driving Lessons and Thunderpants and now hes doing this which is great, Dans done December Boys and My Boy Jack and will be working on something called Journey, and Emma has just finished with Ballet Shoes! This is so cool, and then there is HBP and DHx2. This is awesome, I seriously cannot wait for all this to be released xP Ill attend the premiere for HBP if it kills me though, grr... GO RUPERT!!

im glad to see that that Rupert has been looking past Harry Potter for awhile ^_^ i just recently watched driving lessons on youtube & i thought it was super funny ! it was really out of his normal character as ron but i loved it & he did great . but i wonder is this going to be premiered in the US ? or is another london project?

Great for Rupert. I think hell be great in this film, sounds like a good one. Also glad for Dan and his projects. Hope Emma decides to do "Napoleon and Betsy". Also she is the voice for "Princess Pea" in the upcoming animated feature " The Tail of Despereaux." You can see the trailer for this and hear her voice at yahoo movies. Also E magazine has compared Despereaux to another animated feature called "Bolt" with Miley Cyrus. They say that "Despereaux" is better. I saw the trailer and cant wait to see the film. Im so happy for Rupert, Dan, and Emma.

Yeah I agree with kooldude10694...why dont we get the opportunity to see these movies when they first come out?! I was only able to see Driving Lessons (Which I Loved!!!) on the internet site of tvlinks.uk (before it got shut down). I was thinking exactly the same thing "How do you make that plot a thriller movie?", but apparently that description isnt good because ive made some research and found that is going to be really dark (drugs, sex, stealing), because that girl is going to be very troubled and rupert and other guy will do anything to get her attention... so maybe she is kind of a psychopath!

Im soooo happy, proud, and excited! Im absolutely gonna to love it cause I just love Driving Lessons so much. And hes like like totally HOT! I mean he has hes flaws but now I like corky, and he has it. At first I didnt think he was cute at all,... but times has change.
