Warwick Davis charity auction
Warwick Davis has let us know about a charity auction he's holding in Peterborough, UK on Sunday 16th July 2006. The auction line up includes many exciting pieces of Harry Potter memorabilia, with the star item being a very rare, original "Quidditch World Cup Programme" as seen in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. What makes this one extra special is that it has been personally signed by Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe.

Check the link above for more information on the auction lots and details on how to place telephone bids. Warwick will be personally auctioning off the items, so stop by and say hello to him if you are nearby!

Posted by DecemberDrops Jul 7th 2006

I'm glad to know that people understand that being famous means privileges besides seeing your name in the daily newspaper: having people want your autograph or memorabilia, having them pay you for it, being able to take all that money and help others, having entire crowds actually care what and how you think about something.

Posted by HPFREAK7 Jul 7th 2006

cool!!!

Posted by marsisbrighttonight Jul 7th 2006

harriet_potter, ugh so am I! ...though i dont actually live in UK...so I wouldnt be able to go anyway... I think you said on the scholastic comments that your bday was in 10 days or something so happy early birthday! (and sorry if you didnt actually say that and I'm just confused)

Posted by harriett_potter Jul 7th 2006

Posted by dragonheartstring Jul 7th 2006

The 16th of July is infact a Sunday. This is not only birthday, but the day Half Blood Prince came out last year, which was a Saturday. So everyone who posted above about the 16th being a Sunday is right... it is.

Posted by marsisbrighttonight Jul 8th 2006

MuggleMage- Warwick Davis played the Goblin bank teller at Gringotts and Professor Flitwick.

Posted by fanz Jul 8th 2006

hm... I want it

Posted by AccioRon Jul 8th 2006

They made a mistake.......Daniel Radcliffe is NOT the Harry Potter. Harry is Harry and Dan is Dan.

Posted by MuggleMage Jul 8th 2006

marsisbrighttonight: muchos gracias

Posted by harriett_potter Jul 8th 2006

Pinball_Ghost, i agree with you! Dan has the wrong colour eyes, the wrong colour hair AND IS NOT HARRY POTTER! People can be sooooooo stupid sometimes, can't they!

Posted by Deppified Jul 8th 2006

They can be very stupid, yes ! Daniel has never been Harry Potter, and he's never going to be Harry Potter. That's it.

Posted by kryssindor Jul 8th 2006

Oh wow! I think Dan has done an outstanding job as Harry Potter. My goodness! Well, we all have our opinions, that's what makes the world an interesting place. As for Warwick...I've been a fan since his role as Wicket in Return of the Jedi...and then Willow, Labrynth and on to Harry Potter. I'm glad he's doing this, I hope he helps this charity get a good amount of money.

"What makes this one extra special is that it has been personally signed by Harry Potter himself, Daniel Radcliffe." That's a good sales pitch. And soo true BTW. The sour grapers can choke on their sour grapes whining but it won't change the fact that Dan IS Harry and will be Harry until movie 7. To the movie audience, and book fans for that matter, he is the incarnation of Harry. The book purists can just chole on the injustice of having a blue eyed boy play green eyed Harry, but changes like that always happen in movie adaptations. These small details do not affect the general storyline at all. And good thing that Prof Flitwick is doing charity and uses his fellow cast to generate funds. Must be a heady thing to have your autograph bring on the money. It's great that Dan is using his influence to help charity...

Posted by harriett_potter Jul 8th 2006

so jasmine you are telling me to go and choke on sour grapes?!?!?!?!

Posted by iwishiwashermione Jul 9th 2006

i wish i could go, but it's in England!! Also, I wish they posted pictures of each item; i wanted to see what the quidditch program looks like!
