Okay eeeeveryone needs to keep in mind that we have reason to believe the real trailer is coming out on August 1st, which is well within sight, barely over two weeks. So everyone take a deep breath and enjoy what you have for now, and, as of right now, know you can expect what will most likely be a far longer trailer in just 15 days. (On the same day as Breaking Dawn, I know Ive said that, but Im just so excited, how cool is THAT?)

Personally i feel that the latest harry potter films have been rubbish. I feel that the only best harry potter films were philosophers stone, chamber of secrets and prisoner of askaban. After those films, it all started to go down hill, even Order Of The Phoenix was bad particularly in some of the main roles acting (i.e. Emma Watson as Hermione - even she cant act in some of the scenes as perfect as she did in HP 1, 2 & 3) and i personally cant see why you guys who are complaining about a proper trailer not being released should stop your moaning. Also, i would rather just wait for the movie to come out and not to see some trailer of it because you are all getting excited about this "trailer" which is coming soon that I think when you guys see it your gonna be just as disappointed with that trailer as you are with this one so I think you should all just wait for the film to actually come out and save your excitement for then!

A couple reminders, everyone: 1. Its something. 2. The real trailer is probably coming out in about two weeks with The Mummy. And, yeah, OOTP wasnt the best one, definitely, but I dont think well be as disappointed with the next one because most of the complaints with this one are about how short it is, and we have no reason to think the next trailer will be as short.

This trailer was such a waste of time to even watch. I am glad Twilight has two trailers out already,and i am more excited to see Twilight than the Half-Blood Prince,because WB and the crew who did GOF,and OOTP into movies really messed them up. I had higher expectations from WB to get HP right for us fans,but they ruined them both. Order Of The Phoenix was my favorite book of Harry Potter,before the Deathly Hallows came out(now there both tied for my favorite Harry Potter book),but i dont think they did the book justice at all filming it like that. The acting was really horrible in OOTP,and the shouting that Harry does at Ron,and Hermione was not like how it was in the book at all. I also didnt like the room Harry and Ron were staying in,it wasnt gloomy at all,and no portrait of Phineus Nigellius,and the locket wasnt even there. I love Twilight and Harry Potter both they are my top two favorite book series,and it sucks Twilight is coming to end also,and i really hope WB does a better job on the HBP movie. Where is this line from Dumbledore in the HBP book? Oh yeah its not,and i hate how they severly cut the part of Harry and Dumbledore talking about the prophecy in Dumbledores office in OOTP,and again they didnt use the correct lines from the book,and no Harry smashing things UGH! So the best movies of the Harry Potter books they made into films would be the first three SS/PS,COS,and POA. "Breaking Dawn is going to be so awesome,and i am so excited for it to come out i cant wait,and it will be number one right away on the bestsellers list.

I am a bit angry too with the whole teaser trailer. Because we get to see nothing in it but hear the words. WB is getting way to good with the Harry Potter fans on keeping everything quiet. I just thinks it funny that the twlight movie teaser trailer is a min. long and we got it way back. And now we just got the offical trailer. And its coming out a month after Harry Potter...
WB...I think we waited enough can we have our trailer. Also do we really know if its going to be in the mummy movie. Because each time we think its going to be in a movie or someone "leaked" it. It seemed that it was false.

I expected exactly what I got(mainly because we were told) but I dont understand why everyone is suddenly so happy and excited and think we should be gratful for getting something. I didnt feel I got something. Its just a line(said badly I think if some of us are having problems understanding-not that if it was said better it would be ok) a title and a logo. do you remember any other time we sat here and our main good point was that the logo looked good? I dont like it when they spoil the whole thing but there are certain stuff we are supposed to get before a movie in certain times. I know this is not the real teaser trailer but the fact that they even released this peace of crap makes me think WB thinks Im an idiot. Twilight comes after HBP and it had the teaser trailer a long time ago and the trailer yesterday, and rightfully so since thats how its supposed to be. Its not either too much or 15 seconds, there are normal movies out there, and Im not going to forget the crap WB has put us through in preparation for this movie. It better redeem itself in DH but Im not forgetting this. I know I cant do anything to hurt WB in any way, but I think the fact that it got to a point where fans were discussing lengthly the idea of torture says a lot about them.

Heres the thing...in my opinion...With the Potter series being over, the HPs momentum has started to die down a bit. I love HP, and I now love the Twilight series. No one can deny that Twilight has a huge following which is constantly growing by the minute. I love the books and I think the trailers theyve released have been awesome. If WB wants to keep HP on top, they need to step up. A 15 second trailer that shows absolutely nothing, with only Dumbledore mumbling (and lets not forget that a majority of HP fans arent exactly happy with Gambons portrayal of Dumbledore in the first place)...is not going to cut it.
I just think WB is setting themselves up for disaster if they start letting the enthusiasm for Potter (and Im referring the general public, I know die-hard fans are here to stay) slowly die out. We only have two (three if you want to count DH as 2) installments of Potter to go. They need to be hyping it up to the extreme now, since we dont have any more books to look forward to.

Everyone please stop calling it a teaser trailer... its not the teaser that were all waiting for. Maybe once the real teaser comes out, the movie website will have a whole lot of pics and clips from the film, lol... I hope so. Personally, i liked the trailer. While it did not show anything, and was the shortest thing ever, i liked the excitement and somewhat mysteriousity of it. It was also quite a creative idea, who knows, maybe the film will be better than i expected.
By the way, to settle the argument, even though people have already said it haha: Dumbledore says "Once again, i must ask too much of you, Harry." Mugglenet got it wrong xD

It takes a true HP fan to completely understand the hunger to fill the void left by the end of Harry Potter. Most of you have had HP throughout most of your lives, you know nothing else - some of us get that. Having said that, I do have empathy for those of you eager to feed that void, but just know this really isnt the end of the world. You will get a proper trailer from WB and on its heels, the actual movie itself. Then what? Wait another year or two for DH to come out just so you can put yourself through THIS agony again? Why??? no, no...I am in no way denying Tonklin, that WB is behind in promoting HBP - we are what, 4 months almost to the day away from it being released and there is only this 15 second teaser trailer. Which Ive said before, I believe this is a brilliant marketing move on WBs part. Look at the reaction! Its doing EXACTLY what they wanted...making us want more. I suppose Ive got mixed feelings with this, but I lean more toward waiting it out. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with venting...better out than in. :)

WB will capitalize on HP as much as and as long as they can...once DH is done, not only will it completely devastate the fans, but that will be it as far as money for WB - well, after they release it on DVD/blue ray that is. Fia - I think it depends on if your brother likes watching movies like TDK, or if hes mature enough to handle Jokers freakish laughs. In my opinion, Joker wasnt in the movie that much. But maybe it was just me. I`m thirteen and I LOVED Joker. Its not at all scary, just thrilling. There`s a lot of shooting and explosions that are loud, but I don`t think it was scary. IDK, it depends on how your brother is like .... heronxobsessed74 - Are you serious? They changed that because Heath died? :( Oh my gosh. Thats heartbreaking!! Im in sad shock .... But I think this is a movie that Heath would be so proud of. He was literally AMAZING playing The Joker. This is a movie that people will never forget, all because of his outstanding performance.

I am new here and just wanted to comment. Interesting Trailer...one of the shortest I have ever seen. I was reading the in magazine Movie Magic the other day that Harry Potter didnt finish filiming till like May and they were (or are) still in post-production (a lot more CGI was done for this movie I believe). I would think that this would be a reason as to why we have not seen anything until now. Hopefully, the next one will be the full trailer and not another teaser. It would make no sense to do a teaser now with the movie on 4 months away.

The Dark Night was awesome! So worth going to see! Heath Ledger is Oscar worthy, and in the entire movie... They didnt switch villians... They just added one. It had humor in it, which my little brother loved. Movies like this prove that WB know what theyre doing. Surely HBP will be almost as good as TDK. I say almost because nothing compares to TDK. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! Good job, WB. Good job!

As far as the trailer goes....I dont care as long as the next one has footage. Also, though I have been mad at WB for the past few months that we havent had a trailer, I dont mind if its true they didnt finish filming until May. Just to clarify, Heath Ledger did finish filming Dark Knight before his death. The other villians in the film have very small roles and were already written into the plot originally, to explain how they came to be villians/enemies of Batman, and to set up their roles in future Batman films.
Also, for those who saw TDK, is it true that the trailer for Twilight shows in that?
And as for the Teaser here, I liked it. It really provoked interest, and the fact that we have so many disappointed fans means that just that many more people will be looking out for the real trailer in The Mummy (although I wont be paying my money to see it... I cant stand Brendan Fraser). I know Im excited!!

Firstly, in the words of the late Fred Weasley the trailer was "Pathetic!" Secondly, The Dark Knight is absolutely breathtaking. Never a boring moment. Its the way Batman should have been made in the first place (not that Jack Nicholson wasnt a good Joker, but Ledger is menacing, evil, psychotic and Im so sorry hes not around to reprise his role. Oscars have been given out before post mortem, The actor from Network comes to mind but I cant remember his name. Heath really deserves one for this magnificent acting job. Not that he will get one, the Academy being the colossal snobs that they are. After all, Raiders of the Lost Ark deserved to be Best Picture, yet they gave the Oscar to Chariots of Fire. If anyone is wondering why WB didnt put a full HP trailer in front of The Dark Knight, its because they chose to put the teaser for Watchmen instead. I think this was a brilliant marketing move. HP is already an established movie franchise, HP fans are going to see it no matter what, and most people know its coming. Watchmen, on the other hand, many people hadnt heard of. So by putting the Watchmen trailer with TDK, WB assured that A LOT of people would become interested in Watchmen. The Watchmen trailer was one of the best trailers Ive ever seen. WB did the right thing.

Why is no one excited?!?! Simple, there are teaser trailers WITH footage attached to movies now that arent due out unti 2009. Id guess people want to SEE the movie, not hear some last second thrown together piece of garbage anyone with a pc could have done in 15 minutes. Im really excited about the movie but I would expect that with only 4 months to go and a HUGE budget the studio could have done more for the fans. I also dont think its a question of "watchmen vs hbp" and making a choice. Dark Knight just had the largest midnight, one day, and weekend box offices in history. My view is that only a "no-life fanboi" would be so aggravated that they didnt see "FOOTAGE" from "their new movie" in front of a certain other movie. Get over it. A trailer will come. Sure, this trailer sucked. but it was only attached to IMAX showings of The Dark Knight, so the purpose of it was just to let people know that HBP was coming to IMAX. Relax.

Companies who start taking the attitude "couldnt care less" as you put it, will eventually lose money because of it. Doesnt mean people wont see the movie. Being someone who runs a business I would like to think that most companies, especially companies who make so much money, would love to put a good effort out for fans who dont have a lot of money and buy all those tickets. What you said is somewhat true, but I was referring to WB not caring what die-hard HP fans want in a trailer. The trailer isnt the primary product here, and almost no one is going to boycott a movie just because of a trailer that shows nothing. If WB was taking the couldnt-care-less attitude about the production of the movie itself, then it would be a cause for concern. But this is nothing. Also, WB are distributing Watchmen as well as HP, so this "going through the motions" isnt happening. The fact of the matter is, most (and I mean most as in a VAST majority of) people dont care about this HP trailer as much as some of the people commenting here do. That is what I meant about WB not caring about what *you* expect. *You* are just one person, sharing a viewpoint that only a tiny minority have. And while 300 people might seem like a lot of people who care, out of the expected 20 million or so who will see HP in theaters, its a tiny percentage.
