Two companies well known for their Harry Potter products, National Entertainment Collectibles Association and Gentle Giant, are showing off their new Half-Blood Prince products at Comic Con 2008. Gentle Giant had signs on their products prohibiting photography, but on hand were Harry, Snape, and Dumbledore models that looked beautiful. We'll bring you pics of these when they become available.
NECA's booth also included new Half-Blood Prince models for Harry ( pic), Ginny ( pic), and Draco ( pic). They also had a brand new board game on display called the Hogwarts House Cup Challenge Adventure Board Game ( pic 1, pic 2). Made up of various stacks of cards, game pieces, and one giant game board with a map of Hogwarts, it looks like players will head around the board as they answer Potter-related questions and use the map of Hogwarts to play different parts of the game.

Never mind, the Ginny one is DISGUSTINGLY horrible! Her uniform is hideous! Why cant they make her look nice like she does in the first two movies!? Im so disappointed! But the board game is AWESOME LOOKING!

Thats cool. BUT Ginnys eyes are brown! And also on the board game(And maybe on the model too, I cant tell) Harrys eyes are blue and theyre suppose to be GREEN! Siriusly, how hard is it to make his eyes green! But the board game still looks fun! :)

I plan on getting all of those....the reason the figures look strange is because they are two-ups...which basically means that they are double the size of what theyll be...once they are small you wont be able to notice all the little imperfections.
I personally cant wait to buy all of it...it all looks really good and I know they will be better once they are released...remember, these are Prototypes and NOT final. They could change everything about them in the next few moths.

The figures of Harry and Ginny are great. Draco could look a little more like Tom Felton but other than that, Id say they are the best looking figures Ive seen. The board game? Wow! Why the heck are they just now coming out with that? It will sale like crazy I bet! I know I sure do want one. It looks amazing. I dont have anyone to play it with but still it looks great!

I want the Harry model and the game. The models look great, although Ginnys face could use work. And Dracos everything could have a bit of fixing. Id still get them all if they became available in my area. You try making an exact replica. xD

Why are people scared of the figures? Afraid they will wake up and kill you?
And the Gentle Giant stuff, only the Snape statue had a NO PHOTOS sign. The Dumbledore is also a statue. There are 3 new mini-busts: Ginny, Quidditch Harry, and Quidditch Ron. And there was also an Exclusive Transforming Lupin mini-bust shown as well.

Off topic, but I was looking at an old box of harry potter legos and first year harry was on it, and I was staring intently at the picture when I realized they had digitally made his eyes green! lol... Sorry, Harry looks a bit odd, but his glasses are good.

I like the model of Harry better than those of Ginny or Draco (since hes in Slytherin, shouldnt his tie be green?). To whoever asked why these are coming out now, it looks like they want to judge interest in time for production for Christmas.
The board game sounds like a winner - any idea how its played?

not that thrilled about the new NECA figurines. No Hogwarts clothing onHarry, Draco lacks the resemblence with Tom Felton that the GentleGiants Minybust does have and on Ginny they enhance to one feature I dislike very much in Bonny Wright; nl the stony hard face she already had in the first movie and doent improve a young actress like her.

I want the board game. The Harry doll is obviously the best. Draco doesnt look too bad, but the face on Ginny looks strange to me. It doesnt do Bonnie justice. Im just glad to see the signs behind the dolls saying, "Not Final."
