A new article just released by USA Today reveals two awesome new pictures!
- Young Tom Riddle at the orphanage with Dumbledore in the background
- Dumbledore creating a firestorm to fend off the Inferi
The newspaper also revealed lots of big notes about the film:
The trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince arrives today online and makes its debut in theaters Friday before The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. Film editing is complete, says director David Yates, and studio officials will soon see the finished product.
Then next month, test audiences will get a sneak peek — something that doesn't seem to faze Yates in the least. "That's an incredibly useful process," he says.
The big reveal in the trailer (and in this exclusive photo from it): a glimpse of the young Tom Riddle, who grows up to become the wizarding world's most malevolent force, Lord Voldemort.

OH MY FREAKING GOSH. I WILL TRY TO STAY CALM AS I SHOUT AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS! I am in super shock & delight right now. Teaser trailer out tomorrow, two new OUTSTANDING pictures! What could else could I ask for? (the whole movie, of course) Man, this beats any feeling Ive ever had. This makes me cringe with excitement, makes me speechless & wish that my sister, who is in Basic Training in the Army & is missing HP more than anything (she says in her letters to me), is here with me right now to experience this. WOW. I am ... so happy. :) I might sound crazy for being excited over these two pictures, but wow. =]

Dumbledores beard in the first pic (with young Riddle) looked too dark. And he wasnt wearing the plum-colored suit. Still, Riddle looked just the way I imagined him to look.

Wow! The pic of young Tom Riddle looks perfect - he looks a lot like the guy they had play the not-as-young Tom Riddle in CoS. One complaint - it looks darker than the scene was in the book, but I dont think we can be surprised about that. As for the second pic - does Dumbledore remind anyone else very strongly of Gandalf? The hair and the beard are a lot the same.

Yeah I have to agree that the new Dumbledore just isnt as good as the original. Hes too fierce or something. He never smiles or gets across those sweet moments with Harry that are in the book. The first Dumbledore had that twinkle in his eye, which I think made him much closer to the character Jo invented.

Is it just me or does Dumbledores head look too big for its body in the first photo with young Riddle? It looks like they Photoshopped Michael Gambons head onto a body :S. If the release times are right for the Chicago area hp views, than that means that I wont be able to watch the trailer until tomorrow morning at the earlyest(I work), but thanks to not having to work Wedsday, I am still able to take part on the live broadcast of mugglenet. YAY ME!!!

WE GET THE TRAILER TONIGHT! after like five months of checking mugglenet, increasing in frequency from like once a week to like ten times a day.. wow theyve made it into such a big deal. ive actually gone mad. I cant believe were actually going to see an actual piece of VIDEO FOOTAGE from the actual movie! yeah thats what happens when you keep fans in the dark for so long.

I agree with 7thhorcrux! Im so glad that Michael Gambon (credit also going to David Yates as well) seems to have FINALLY understood Dumbledore. These photos look great and Ralph Fiennes nephew looks like hes gonna rock young Riddle! One more thing: I like Dumbledores suit! Maybe its a darker purple (plum) and its in a dark hallway so maybe it looks black. Or it could just be my phone... At any rate, I will be on my computer @ 9pm!

Guys, they said that the movie had been narrowed down to two or three memories including this one and teenage riddle which may be when he asks Slughorn about Horcruxes and thats it so most likely either No Morfin Gaunt and no Hepzibah Smith.

You guys need to stop complaining. There are more than likely reasons for Dumbledore looking how he does. 1 - Auburn hair probably just didnt work on Michael Gambon. 2 - His plum suit would be too silly and distracting for such a dark and serious scene. I prefer this way, for the movie. Also, Tom looks like Tom. Perfect! And, quit complaining about the second picture, that one is 100% awesome.

Little Tom Riddle was perfect. I am so excited about the trailer tonight. I am glad that at least they didnt cut out these parts in the movie. I listened to the 7th book and wonder how Bill and Fleur will be brought into the last movie since they cut them out of this one.

I was really mad about who they got to play the teenage/young adult Tom Riddle. Jamie Campbell Bower was in talks to do it, but then they dropped him at the last minute in favor of Ralph Fiennes (the mega hot man who plays Voldemort) nephew! Ugh, that made me mad - I was dying to see Jamie in the role!

Maybe they wanted a more darker tone/feel to this movie, so they had to dress Dumbledore up in plain clothes that would blend in nicely with the coloring of the walls, and of Tom Riddles appearance. great! I looked at all the comments and it looks like there were three big things in common with just about everyone. Number 3-Everyone is excited about pictures/trailer. Number 2- Everyone thinks the second looks like Gandalf picture. Number 1- Michael Gambon isnt a good Dumbledore. I think I would answer yes to all three of those as well. I even saw one person talking about how they think the film should be 163 minutes long, lol. Yes it should be but I think the next thing to think about is which Harry Potter shirt you are going to wear to the movie and what kind of drink you will order to drink during the film. In other words, I think it a little late to be talking about the length of the film,its done! Happy Tralier Watching tonight everyone!

2) As pretty much everyone else has said, Michael Gambon is definitely rocking the Gandalf!
3) The thing about the suit though - we all must remember that everyone wears muggle clothes in the movies. Always have!
