Comic Con '08: 9 High Quality HBP Trading Cards
A couple weeks ago, we told you about a set of Half-Blood Prince trading cards being given away at Comic Con 2008. The nine cards had all-new photos from Half-Blood Prince that we haven't seen before.Confession time: I won the auction before posting it on MuggleNet to be sure that we had them to make high quality scans. Sure enough, the cards arrived yesterday and they're now available in great quality for your viewing pleasure:
- Draco looking onward.
- Dumbledore startled why holding a memory.
- Molly and Arthur Weasley startled outside The Burrow.
- Harry and Ron in a corridor.
- Harry and Hermione having a talk.
- Harry and Slughorn.
- Tonks, Molly, Arthur, and Lupin.
- Young Dumbledore.
- Young Dumbledore in conversation.
- The back of each card, saying a set of 90 cards will be released this November.

I'm sure in that harry and hermione pic, they are discussing the half-blood prince since harry seems to be holding his potions book and hermione looks angry.

According to canon, Young Dumbledore is supposed to have auburn colored hair in the Pensieve memory. Also, I do not remember the Burrow being attacked in HBP, it just doesn't happen! The Burrow doesn't get attacked until DH. Apparently it's another case of the writers taking big liberties with the book, when they could be adding more relevant scenes from it.
the pictures are great but too much spoilers are not good.. it diminishes my excitement (proven with GoF and OotP) but what the heck? can't help looking at the pics.. haha =)

Several people mentioned Tonk's hair color. I actually think that is important. Since Bill and Fleur aren't in this movie, and Bill hasn't been in any of the movies, we have no bride and groom for the wedding scene in DH. So far, I have disagreed when people have suggested that Tonks and Lupin will replace Bill and Fleur because I heard that Tonks will only appear in the added battle scene. However, based on these pictures, it seems like they might just put some hints of romance. I'm not a big fan of changing the bride and groom, but I suppose that having a wedding that is completely non-canon is better than having no wedding at all.
These cards were produced by Artbox, the company that has produced all of the HP cards to date. I received my set just yesterday and they really are excellent. They are available on E-Bay so the price will obviously vary.

Ooooh. . the colors are different here, we can see Dumbledore's purple coat! And his suit almost seems sort of plum colored! * flutters wings exitedly, as snidgets generally do when excited *

Am I the only person that really really wanted to see michael gambon with red hair and a purple suit? The dark grey hair makes him look kinda.. evil. and not older at all. hes meant to look.. more than 50 years younger. It's kinda cool how Mrs Weasly looks so scared but you know next movie she'll kick serious Bellatrix butt. They BETTER keep that in.
