FIRST very nice!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 07:07:06

still cant believe that the australian release is 20 days later than pretty much everywhere else

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 07:09:33

Australia still has a later release date? Well then, guess Ill have to turn to the internet to see it first then. Saves me buying a movie ticket!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 07:12:46

Thats so annoying about the Australian release date! How can it come out in non-English speaking countries before Australia? They dont even need to translate it for Australia, so the release date should be the same as the UK and US. How stupid.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 07:13:53

Why do some places get it on the 19th? unfairrrr! Thanks for the info :)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 07:27:56

LOL didnt even know HP was shown in that many countries. Still cant wait.

Im looking forward seeing this movie!!! "The pathetic delusion of anyone saying, FIRST, SECOND, THIRD, is that in fact such attutide reveals that even though they are blind, still they are the last!" Ovenfresh

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 08:26:17

the australian release date better CHANGE like OOTP did! seriously, it being delayed 2 weeks so its closer to the holidays wont make a difference with its profit. just ridiculous. our country is so backwards - WAKEUP AND JOIN THE REST OF THE WORLD. we can speak english so make the most of that we dont have to wait months for a translation!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 08:30:56

OMFG I now just read it all and realised nearly every country who dont speak english are getting it earlier!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 08:38:28

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 10:28:44

Does anyone know why Belgium and Egypt get the movie first? they get it on November 19th and everyone else gets it later? weird.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:02:18

Is anyone going to the midnight release of it? I really want to, but I have a feeling it will be packed, and I hate crowds. I dont know if it will be packed though, since everyone from my school are now Twilighters instead of Potterheads.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:06:32

20? Well I cant wait :) Hopefully first show like last year! :P

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:31:19

Belgium and Egypt get it on the 19th. They are lucky hey...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:35:29

Yes. Because clearly, English-speaking countries deserve to get everything first, and better, than any other country.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:44:51

WOOHHOOO!! is anyone moging to the Midnight Release????? i really want to go. i hope its crowded. i love watching movies when its crowded with all the fans =)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 11:58:06

why do some people have a problem that Egypt and Belgium get it first? So there is one thing other fans get before you, is that hard for you?think of them. please dont answer that, just stop complaining, Cant wait for Nov.20!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:04:34

The petition to move the NZ/austalian date is here(delete spaces): http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/? e

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:12:03

i just find it odd that the english speaking countries dont get it first becuz they dont have to do a translation

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:12:11

WTF? why are places like Belgium and Egypt getting earlier releases then Canada and the US?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:32:04

NOV 21, 2008 COULDNT GET ANY CLOSER CAN ITI??? ALSO FOR THOSE WHO ARE HAVING TROUBLE WAITING FOR MOVIE SIX RELEASE HOW ABOUT READING THE SAME AMOUNT OF PAGES EACH DAY, FINISHING BOOK SIX ON THE NIGHT OF THE MOVIE RELEASE. THAT IS WHAT I AM DOING RIGHT NOW AND THE WITHDRAW IS WORKING GREAT. TEN FIVE PAGES A DAY, STARTING ON THE 14TH OF JULY, BUT THAT DATE HAS LONG PASTED, SO TO CATCH UP NOW YOU WOULD HAVE TO READ 210 PGS BY TONIGHT, OR JUST FIGURE OUT YOUR OWN WAY OF WITHDRAW!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:33:22

hermione93, they dont necessarily need a translation. Neurons, this is a british movie, why should canada and the US get it first?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:36:29

Belgiums been so screwed in history, they decided to give them HP first...after WWII, its the least we could do. And Egypt has some amazing cotton.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:47:18

I have no problem with Belgium and Egypt getting before everyone. Were all going to see it before the year ends anyway. And yes they do speak English here in South Africa... come on now, gosh.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:53:01

LOL. Switzerland gets 3 dates :D

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 12:56:53

why wouldnt they need a translation, tiassa???? and the movie is made in britain isnt it??? why shouldnt it be released there first???

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:00:06

Cool...Its on the same day as the worldwide release in India too..as always:-) cant wait!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:14:17

wow thats cool that its showing in all those countries that shows almost evry country knows and likes harry potter i just fell bad for the people who have to wait till December but i cant wait till November 21 its going to smash the dark knight records lol

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:36:38

throught the world there are diffrent time changes. so it could be the same day at like the same timee but it just seems like were a day late when really were watching it at the same time

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:36:52

Wow the date of release, this is good I do not care that some place are going to be before us (here in US), as long as I can go and see it. Something else I am in the top 50, HURRAY. YIP< YIP> YIP HURRAY

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:41:29

I cant wait to see it. Its really sad that the Australians cant see it for less then a month then here in Canada!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:44:51

hermione93, maybe they let them do subtitles before, it make sense. Otherwise they will never manage to beat up the dark knight. as for britain I dont know, I am not actually in charge of the dates nor do I live there or in the US or in Belgium or in Egypt. However, I still dont see the problem in letting these two random countries see it first, there is a good chance that this decision wasnt made by wb either. For example my country only releases new movies on thursdays. The decion to make them first could be because something random like that. so they get it a day before UK. SO? There are countries who get it in december. focus on them

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:51:25

: )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 13:58:22

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 16:28:35

I may just have to holiday in Belgium this year... around 20th november... yes, sounds like a plan!!

: )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 17:35:55

im gonna see it in every country :-)

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 18:17:22

Its completely ridiculous that Australia gets the movie so late! I dont see what the issue is with getting it earlier, and I was really looking forward to it as the 21st nov release is just after I finish my final exams...and what makes it worse is that Im going to Europe just before it is released in Australia, so hopefully Ill be able to watch it in Europe...but who knows...I really hope they change the date because people are just going to watch illegal versions of it...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 19:47:56

What the hell! was is Aussie almost last! god dam it. i wont be able to listen to mugglecast for like a month, cause theyll be talking about the movie

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 21:50:15

Er, dont we already know about this?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 22:26:41

: )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 22:33:03

My friend wants to see the movie, but she may be going to Walt Disney World during the release of the us!!! No problem, as a big hp fan, I am willing to watch the sixth hp movie as many times that I need to watch the movie!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-09 22:39:27

He he he!!!! Cool!!!! People go to peta2.org or meat.org! : )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 00:49:33

That is a very valid point imperio_tis and everyone else that has pointed out that if this movie is released here in Australia on Dec 11, it will bring ppl to turn to desperate measures and download or buy illegally, thats what i plan on doing, and that will bring the eagerness of watching it at the theatres down for us fans. Everyday i log onto sites such as Mugglenet and Leaky Cauldron to get some kind of snidget of information about the movie, and so far its been too little and so very late compared to the other movies. Logging onto these sites or listening to Mugglecast will be heartbreaking, because it will spoil our enthusiasm and eagerness to watch the movie. Come on WB, we Potter fans have been loyal to you, please stay loyal to us.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 03:15:18

: ) : ) : ) : ) hi im rooon and im a spammer : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : ) : )

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 03:21:57

seriously though, having these unjustified late release dates in NZ & Australia etc will definitely promote piracy...and im sure WB doesnt want that happening...

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 04:26:12

11 December for AUSTRALIA? I knew that was the supposed release date for us like a few months ago, but WB havent changed it?! NO WAY! That is SO unfair! How can an English speaking country get the film so late? I cannot believe the unfairness of this! I know for OotP we got it like a day before the US and UK, but 20 DAYS LATER? That is SO TIGHT! Please WB, I BEG YOU TO CHANGE IT! This is exactly what happened for GoF! We got that like 2 weeks after every other English speaking country too! Why are we getting HBP so late? Im writing to WB.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 04:27:56

hells yeah! Im in Mexico!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 05:57:06

My unname friend(my friend has a name, but I willnt tell you that info, for this reason) recieved a unpaid copy of hp movie four, even before the dvd of the movie came out!!! That in my opinon was wrong, but want was I to say!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 08:15:17

@HPFANTimothy, vote heat(deleate spaces): http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/i ndex.html

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 21:09:50

HAHAHA, IT SUCKS TO LIVE IN AUSTRALIA OR IN NEW ZEALAND!!! THAT IS WHY I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD THAT I LIVE IN THE USA!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-10 22:11:53

Well hahaha Rose37. Im sure youre happy to live in the USA, but dont forget that you still have a leader with a bone up his backside. Anyway, WB will probably change our release date... they did last time... theres still a few months to go until HBP hits the cinemas and thats enough time to contact Village Cinemas, Hoyts... you name it. Im sure that we will get HBP on time. Itll be so unfair if we dont! PS - Thanks tiassa :) Ill sign!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 00:09:59

You are heartless, Rose. At least sign the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/i ndex.html

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 06:51:46

Hey everyone,I went 2 a HP quiz today and won the third prize!!!!!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 07:19:49

Greece on the 20th??? I love WB suddenly!!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 10:51:10

I noticed theres no mention of Ireland????????? And b4 any1 says its part of the UK, NO IT ISNT, its a completely different country. Its like sayin Canada is part of the USA. So surely we deserve a mention???? Its not fair leaving us assuming we getting it with the UK. So not happy about it......... :(

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 15:00:27

First off, I AM NOT HEARTLESS and secondly I am NOT going to sign the petition!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-11 16:32:43

why rose? how can it harm you?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 00:24:27

OK, I WILL SIGN, but you all do understand that not only do the AUSTRALIANS and IRELANDS have to wait until the 11th of Dec to finally watch the sixth hp movie, but other places in the world too(see link to release dates of the sixth hp movies, in the middle of this infomation topic, for more proof)!!! Why not have a pertition for them as well??? It is only fair, am I right???

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 00:36:10

I am happy to say, that I just signed the petition for the hp movie release, but I am sorry for forgetting to included the people in New Zealand, in my last comment for this subject!!! Sorry!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 00:53:55

I know that rose and thank you for signing, the problem is that smaller countries dont always care. I know that if it happened in my country we could have signed on the whole fandom and nothing would have happened

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 01:09:03

Rose37, its not that fans are only thinking about Australia and NZ, people are thinking about other countries too that get HBP late. But the fact remains that Australia and NZ are two English speaking countries who also happen to have a very vast number of Harry Potter fans. I live in Melbourne, Australia, Ive been a fan since 1998 (I was 4 and my mum read me Philosophers Stone). When I went to the UK to visit family I also visited the film sets. And just like any other 100% devoted fan, I was outside the bookstores at the crack of dawn to grab the new book! Im just as much a fan as you are, so why should I and my fellow Australian fans have to wait 20 days for HBP? There are so many other HP fans who visit MuggleNet daily just as any other HP fan who lives in the US or the UK does. And to get HBP 20 days after the US and UK is simply demeaning to us! You must see it that way, seriously. Besides, if WB have any common sense they will change the release date for all of us in Australia and NZ to November 21st. Why? Not because of upset and angry fans, but simply because if HBP is released too late, Australian and Kiwi fans will result to piracy... which means that WB will not gain the large majority of profit they usually get from Asia/Pacific. I mean. who would wait 20 days for HBP when its already our in the US and UK? Youd be mad to wait that long :P I was pulling my hair out when we got GoF late, I dont want it to happen again with HBP!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 15:48:45

100 days until the movie is out today!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-12 21:52:44

I strongly agree with your statement, HPFANTimothy, but remember, ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-13 02:06:24

yes, but will you agreee to wait 2 weeks? or will you want to kill WB and try to get other fans to help you?

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-13 07:45:55

If I had hp fans I would boycott, but I dont have a hp fans, so no, I would just wait the two weeks!!!

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-13 08:37:23

I heard from a Belgian HP fan that movies in Belgium always come out on wednesday, wich happens to be the 19th. I have to wait until the 21th but I dont mind, its just two days later then Belgium.

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-13 09:02:33

that makes sense, here they always come on thursday so we get it on the 20

Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-08-13 16:16:15

Thats some good news, finally. I was a bit woried about when were getting HBP here in Egypt, seeing as OotP made it over a month later, but luckily I was in the states at the time and caught it on the same day it was out. Mind you, if they were gonna delay HBP for a month I probably wouldve went back to the states just to catch the movie on its release date :) And yeah, Movies come out on wednesday here in Egypt as well, so that must be the reason why its out on the 19th...Im starting to think being here isnt so bad after all :D :D To everyone in Australia, NZ and anywhere else getting the movie in December...sorry guys, Ive been there before and know how much it sucks. Hope they change the release date where you are!!
