If you think that the Aussie/NZ release date should be moved: http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/i ndex.html

Posted by i_am_nagini_777 Aug 9th 2008

i'm gonna see it in every country :-)

Posted by jellibean Aug 9th 2008

It's completely ridiculous that Australia gets the movie so late! I don't see what the issue is with getting it earlier, and I was really looking forward to it as the 21st nov release is just after I finish my final exams...and what makes it worse is that I'm going to Europe just before it is released in Australia, so hopefully I'll be able to watch it in Europe...but who knows...I really hope they change the date because people are just going to watch illegal versions of it...

What the hell! was is Aussie almost last! god dam it. i wont be able to listen to mugglecast for like a month, cause they'll be talking about the movie

Posted by Hermowninny Aug 9th 2008

Er, don't we already know about this?

Posted by Rose37 Aug 9th 2008

My friend wants to see the movie, but she may be going to Walt Disney World during the release of the us!!! No problem, as a big hp fan, I am willing to watch the sixth hp movie as many times that I need to watch the movie!!!

Posted by rooon Aug 9th 2008

He he he!!!! Cool!!!! People go to peta2.org or meat.org! : )

Posted by dianem_30 Aug 10th 2008

That is a very valid point imperio_tis and everyone else that has pointed out that if this movie is released here in Australia on Dec 11, it will bring ppl to turn to desperate measures and download or buy illegally, thats what i plan on doing, and that will bring the eagerness of watching it at the theatres down for us fans. Everyday i log onto sites such as Mugglenet and Leaky Cauldron to get some kind of snidget of information about the movie, and so far its been too little and so very late compared to the other movies. Logging onto these sites or listening to Mugglecast will be heartbreaking, because it will spoil our enthusiasm and eagerness to watch the movie. Come on WB, we Potter fans have been loyal to you, please stay loyal to us.

Posted by dont_look_down Aug 10th 2008

seriously though, having these unjustified late release dates in NZ & Australia etc will definitely promote piracy...and im sure WB doesnt want that happening...

Posted by megblack89 Aug 10th 2008

us australians have a fair number who read watch and buy anything HP and have done so from the beginning, its unfair and unjustified. its just a movie to some but how would you feel. like everyone has said, there is no need for translation and it certainly doesn't make sense for the movie to be available at a later date thanUS/UK. come on wb lift your game, or you'll lose out.

Posted by HPFANTimothy Aug 10th 2008

11 December for AUSTRALIA? I knew that was the 'supposed release date' for us like a few months ago, but WB haven't changed it?! NO WAY! That is SO unfair! How can an English speaking country get the film so late? I cannot believe the unfairness of this! I know for OotP we got it like a day before the US and UK, but 20 DAYS LATER? That is SO TIGHT! Please WB, I BEG YOU TO CHANGE IT! This is exactly what happened for GoF! We got that like 2 weeks after every other English speaking country too! Why are we getting HBP so late? I'm writing to WB.

hells yeah! I'm in Mexico!

Posted by Rose37 Aug 10th 2008

My unname friend(my friend has a name, but I willn't tell you that info, for this reason) recieved a unpaid copy of hp movie four, even before the dvd of the movie came out!!! That in my opinon was wrong, but want was I to say!!!

Posted by tiassa Aug 10th 2008

@HPFANTimothy, vote heat(deleate spaces): http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/i ndex.html

Posted by Rose37 Aug 10th 2008

HAHAHA, IT SUCKS TO LIVE IN AUSTRALIA OR IN NEW ZEALAND!!! THAT IS WHY I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOO GLAD THAT I LIVE IN THE USA!!!

Posted by HPFANTimothy Aug 10th 2008

Well hahaha Rose37. I'm sure you're happy to live in the USA, but don't forget that you still have a leader with a bone up his backside. Anyway, WB will probably change our release date... they did last time... there's still a few months to go until HBP hits the cinemas and that's enough time to contact Village Cinemas, Hoyts... you name it. I'm sure that we will get HBP on time. It'll be so unfair if we don't! PS - Thanks tiassa :) I'll sign!

Posted by Arry Aug 11th 2008

You are heartless, Rose. At least sign the petition: http://www.ipetitions.com /petition/hbp_australia/i ndex.html

Posted by Luna22 Aug 11th 2008

Hey everyone,I went 2 a HP quiz today and won the third prize!!!!!!!!

Posted by leighpotter Aug 11th 2008

Greece on the 20th??? I love WB suddenly!!!!

Posted by kandy Aug 11th 2008

I noticed there's no mention of Ireland????????? And b4 any1 says its part of the UK, NO IT ISN'T, its a completely different country. Its like sayin Canada is part of the USA. So surely we deserve a mention???? Its not fair leaving us assuming we getting it with the UK. So not happy about it......... :(

Posted by Rose37 Aug 11th 2008

First off, I AM NOT HEARTLESS and secondly I am NOT going to sign the petition!!!

Posted by tiassa Aug 11th 2008

why rose? how can it harm you?

Posted by Rose37 Aug 12th 2008

OK, I WILL SIGN, but you all do understand that not only do the AUSTRALIANS and IRELANDS have to wait until the 11th of Dec to finally watch the sixth hp movie, but other places in the world too(see link to release dates of the sixth hp movies, in the middle of this infomation topic, for more proof)!!! Why not have a pertition for them as well??? It is only fair, am I right???

Posted by Rose37 Aug 12th 2008

I am happy to say, that I just signed the petition for the hp movie release, but I am sorry for forgetting to included the people in New Zealand, in my last comment for this subject!!! Sorry!!!

Posted by tiassa Aug 12th 2008

I know that rose and thank you for signing, the problem is that smaller countries dont always care. I know that if it happened in my country we could have signed on the whole fandom and nothing would have happened

Posted by HPFANTimothy Aug 12th 2008

Rose37, it's not that fans are 'only' thinking about Australia and NZ, people are thinking about other countries too that get HBP late. But the fact remains that Australia and NZ are two English speaking countries who also happen to have a very vast number of Harry Potter fans. I live in Melbourne, Australia, I've been a fan since 1998 (I was 4 and my mum read me Philosopher's Stone). When I went to the UK to visit family I also visited the film sets. And just like any other 100% devoted fan, I was outside the bookstores at the crack of dawn to grab the new book! I'm just as much a fan as you are, so why should I and my fellow Australian fans have to wait 20 days for HBP? There are so many other HP fans who visit MuggleNet daily just as any other HP fan who lives in the US or the UK does. And to get HBP 20 days after the US and UK is simply demeaning to us! You must see it that way, seriously. Besides, if WB have any common sense they will change the release date for all of us in Australia and NZ to November 21st. Why? Not because of upset and angry fans, but simply because if HBP is released too late, Australian and Kiwi fans will result to piracy... which means that WB will not gain the large majority of profit they usually get from Asia/Pacific. I mean. who would wait 20 days for HBP when it's already our in the US and UK? You'd be mad to wait that long :P I was pulling my hair out when we got GoF late, I don't want it to happen again with HBP!

Posted by Mully Aug 12th 2008

100 days until the movie is out today!!!

Posted by Rose37 Aug 12th 2008

I strongly agree with your statement, HPFANTimothy, but remember, ALL GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT!!!

Posted by tiassa Aug 13th 2008

yes, but will you agreee to wait 2 weeks? or will you want to kill WB and try to get other fans to help you?

Posted by Rose37 Aug 13th 2008

If I had hp fans I would boycott, but I don't have a hp fans, so no, I would just wait the two weeks!!!

Posted by Alexis5265 Aug 13th 2008

I heard from a Belgian HP fan that movies in Belgium always come out on wednesday, wich happens to be the 19th. I have to wait until the 21th but I don't mind, it's just two days later then Belgium.

Posted by tiassa Aug 13th 2008

that makes sense, here they always come on thursday so we get it on the 20

Posted by sephirothalmasy Aug 13th 2008

That's some good news, finally. I was a bit woried about when we're getting HBP here in Egypt, seeing as OotP made it over a month later, but luckily I was in the states at the time and caught it on the same day it was out. Mind you, if they were gonna delay HBP for a month I probably would've went back to the states just to catch the movie on it's release date :) And yeah, Movies come out on wednesday here in Egypt as well, so that must be the reason why it's out on the 19th...I'm starting to think being here isn't so bad after all :D :D To everyone in Australia, NZ and anywhere else getting the movie in December...sorry guys, I've been there before and know how much it sucks. Hope they change the release date where you are!!
