Warner Brothers has just announced that Half-Blood Prince will be delayed. The film will instead be released on July 17th, 2009. Additionally, like every other studio, we are still feeling the repercussions of the writers’ strike, which impacted the readiness of scripts for other films—changing the competitive landscape for 2009 and offering new windows of opportunity that we wanted to take advantage of. I just saw an article on economictimes.indiatimes. com that states from Washington:The release of 'Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince' has reportedly been delayed due to its star Daniel Radcliffe appearing naked on the Broadway play, 'Equus'. The sixth Harry Potter flick has been moved from November 21 this year to July 17 next year, and the reason given by Warner Bros was that "a spot opened on the summer schedule." So in other words, Warner Brothers LIED to us. Unless my dates are wrong, they knowingly released the trailer, got us all pumped up when they KNEW the movie wasn't going to be released until July 2009. Ok, I know they couldn't change the trailer, but they could have released some sort of statement. What it really boils down to for me is WB's lack of respect for the fans. I honestly don't think they anticipated such a gut knee-jerk reaction from the fans, regardless of our age. They probably also didn't expect such a strong reaction from us.

Well, I am pissed but since my baby is due like 4 days before the movie comes out. Then I'm able to see the movie without being too preoccupied with my new baby and I won't worry about him so much.

Groups are forming for different locations. We even have t - shirts and all. Just two days ago, some of the people who I saw fired up and ready to take action, saying that they would not let WB get away with this, are already giving up. This is exactly what WB had expected you to do. Of course they knew they would get backlash for their decision, but they knew given a few months you would stop caring. It hasn't even been a week. Even if we can do nothing to change the date, I feel we have the right to let WB know how unbelievebly rude, ungrateful, and inconsiderate they've been to the very same people who made them rich. With Beedle And The Bard being released, this was supposed to have been a really good end - of - the - year for us fans. But they took it away because they want more money to add to the billions of dollars they already have. Harry Potter has been a big part of my life for many years. I will not take this in silence.
