I don't like the fact that we have to wait longer any more than any of you do, but the truth is that boycotting this movie isn't going to happen. You're just punishing yourself. It's like a parent saying "You can't have chocolate until after dinner" and the child responding by saying "Well, then I'm just going to have one piece, then." We all know that when the movie comes out, you will go to see it. I mean, we've all disliked parts of these movies and they will never compare to the books, but we still go and see them. I think this delay is going to hurt WB is a different way then we've all thought about. When a completed movie sits around for 8 months, more hands are able to touch it, therefore, there is going to probably be more piracy of said movie. I think that pirated copies of this movie are going to spread like wildfire. Look at what happened with Deathly Hallows, there was a printed version on the internet available a few weeks before it's release. Out of respect for J.K. and the Harry Potter series most fans did not read these copies or listen to or read reviews posted before it's release date. I think it is safe to say that most fans have lost respect for WB and therefore will not give this film the same respect.

This guy belongs in politics! What a crock! We need to hit them in the wallet! We need to boycott the movie Twilight that is replacing HBP. Also we need to boycott all WB movies until HBP comes out. What will REALLY hurt is boycotting the SPONSORS of the WB TV shows. You can watch the shows and then write the sponsors letting them know you will not be buying their products because of the under-handed way WB has handled this. This guy thinks we are all stupid! Please boycott all WB sponsors and movies.

If Horn realy cared about the fans, he would turn around and say sorry WB have made a mistake and as a result HBP will be released in November. But no it's a case of shut up give us your money and we don't want too hear from you until the next movie comes out. It's a pitty JK can't turn around and say I've had enough of you clowns I'm taking Deathly Hallows to the guys who made Lord of the Rings.

Yeah we ALL want to hear JK Rowlings thoughts on this!!.......But knowing how rarely she updates her website i doubt we would hear from her anytime soon.....And the WB are a bunch of morons doing this to the fans!....We are not gonna wait a "bit" longer for a movie thats already completed and ready to go for November!....They even said it themselves!.....And i'm hoping somebody leaks the film really soon!....i HAVE lost respect for the WB and i would love it for the film to be leaked!!....They didn't think this choice through with the fans and everybody else in mind they only thought of themselves!.....The cast stats filming February so that mans while the cast is filming the DH movie, they will also have to promote and do loads of press for the release of HBP!...that sucks for them as well!....And we will be getting news and pics and stuff the same time were getting HBP stuff!.......People will be too interested in Deathly Hallows then a movie that was supposed to be released months ago!.....

I think WB is only doing this to annoy HP fans. They shouldn't be doing this just because TDN is being a box-office. I think it's not fair to fans who have waited so long for HBP and now have to wait another year! WB is only thinkin' about the profits they may have, but they're forgetting one importante thing! US! The Fans! We are the ones who give them money! The delay the premiere of the movie so they are losing money! I'm not going to see the film in theatres! I'll wait 'till it comes out on dvd! If I wait one year I can wait a few more months! And just one last thing: their positive aspect about delaying the movie is not so positive! I don't care if it is closer to the premiere of the 1st part of DH! Now thei're judt gettint messages of angry fans aross the world, and I don't see a positive aspect in that! I'd rather a 2 year gap between HBP and DH, so they can perfect the final movie and build up the suspense, than wait 2 years to see HBP which is already completed. This is crap.

David Horn is a dementor (he is too ugly to be anything else other than one of the foulest creatures who walk the earth). He has sucked a large part of the happiness out of this years holiday season with this very mean and cruel decision to make us wait until the middle of next summer for the film. His comments sound to me like a pack of lies being told to a child. What I would like to see next is a clip of his ugly mug morphing into a dementor. Has anyone got those skills?

i never knew ANYONE had as many feet to stick in their mouths as Alan Horn does. Hoenstly i can tell that at the remiere when he comes walking down that read carpet two-thirds of people will 'boo' loudly and longly. It's harry Potter people are goning to stat a commotion even if you delay it a day. i know i was already starting to get stuff for a costume ready. Perhaps it's because I'm at least 30 years old (which I know is practically dead to some younger Mugglenet folk), but I'm pleased HBP has been pushed forward into 2009. I've seen some of the new computer and film technology just now cutting edge and will be thrilled if WB can utilize it to make HPB even better than the film must be just now. As grandma always said, "It'll be worth the wait!"

Currently in the UK the price of everything is going up, and as a result of this people are having too cut back on their spending. In addition to this there is also talk of a recession. Come July next year WB may find that people prefer not too spend their money on the price of a cinema ticket, but to feed their familes instead. If things are going to be bad world wide as the experts are predicting, WB may find themselves wishing that they had released HBP in November.

I am upset that they decided to delay the showing of HBP. I was really looking forward to it coming out soon! I understand why they decided to though. I actually do feel a little better knowing I won't have to wait so long for the Deathly Hallows movies. I know a lot of people say that they are only doing this for money, but, so what? That's how they make their living! You should just be happy that they even have the movies. I could care less if they want money. As long as I get to see the movies, I'm alright. By boycotting, you're really only hurting yourselves. I'll be at the midnight showing. I've waited to long to just sit back and be angry!

this totally sucks! I HATE WB for what they did. they have hurt so many people, and i hope they know that we wont stop until there is a change made! And for the person who said that they were going use new technology to make it better,(or whatever it is they exatly said) the movie is done, there is no fixing it or editing it, they have already said they were done making the film. so it does not make sense why they would sit on it for 11 months. plus they start filming DH in february. so are they all going to stop filming to go to a whole bunch of premieres and then we end up pushing back DH because they couldn't finish it? *sigh*

As of yet I've seen no negative press towards WB in the media. It would seem that besides from us who access this site, no one in the genral public knows about our fellings towards WB. Emailing Horn is probably a waste of time, he's not going to read them, just press the delete button on his computer, or more likely get his secretary to delet them.

Actually there is some bad press-look online-newspapers/blogs/o nline movie sites all have articles on fans up in arms/angry/etc that is why Horn released a statement-e-mails go to the same place for all of them so I am assuming that they are getting more mail than usual. Again BOYCOTT let them feel the wrath-and many can say Oh even though people say they aren't going they will-I for one am not.

This is so immature!!! I expected better behavior from fellow HP fans. I know the movie got pushed up, and it's pretty ovious that WB is as upset as we are...but that doesn't mean you all have to act like my brother when he does a bad job during a hockey game. I'm pretty angry myself, but I'm not acting like that. We just have to wait 11 more months before the next movie. So, go ahead, send Howlers, boycott WB movies and sign petitions.... They've already made up their minds, and there's nothing that can be done. They've even put another movie in HBP's place. What it seems Mr. Horn has forgotten is that JKR is not about money. She is TOTALLY about her fans and their love for Harry Potter. No where have I seen what her reaction is to this change of release date and for the reasons the WB's has given to the public and all Harry Potter fans. I really would like to know what her response is. I think that this is just a way to make up the money that WB lost during the writer's strike. And what does the writer's strike really have to do with This movie??? The script was already written before the strike. And it was filmed overseas. So again Mr. Horn..... tell us again why this was done. Obviously it was not for us Harry Potter fans and it was just to line the pockets of WB.

I really am very ashamed to be a Harry Potter fan right now. We ralley around good causes and work to dispell hate in the world and replace it with justice. We scratch our heads at the anger that homophobes feel, and wonder at the hatred of those who are rascist and those who cause detruction in war and all the other injustices of the world. May I bring to your attention, producers, the fact that we now have a TWO YEAR wait in between movies 5 & 6. I don't see any silver lining there. Instead of a two year wait between 6&7, now we get it between 5& 6. It's obvious now that a decision of this sort was made quite some time ago, only they didn't bother to release the info until now, because they waited so darn long to get a two-second TEASER trailer out. No wonder we were waiting, and waiting, and waiting FOREVER for that trailer. It's cuz they never planned on releasing the movie on Nov. 21st anyway.
