Taking a break from the endless amount of Half-Blood Prince photos we've seen in the past week, a Flickr user has posted photos of a Stephen Fry/JK Rowling photoshoot. The photos were taken in May 2007 to promote the the UK Potter audiobooks, which Fry narrates.
Thanks to Snitch Seeker for the tip!

Fry is getting almost as much recognition as Rowling. I havent heard one of the audios but want to. Audio books would have to be better than a movie delayed over 6 months.

Professorlongbottom-- I post a lot too, although not every post. Where else can we comment about what we see on-line. Anyway, I want to order a wall calendar. Are they available yet? The pictures are a way to placate the fans since they delayed the movie. I know, they should have released the movie instead of the pictures. Between now and July, we will agonize over the pictures, and moan about the lack of a movie.

god I hate this thing...as I was saying because the books are british JK chose a national treasure to narrate them, so we could say why does the USA have their own when the stephen fry ones are great.

The recent Mugglenet iv with Jim Dale illustrated one of the reasons (and there are several) why the Stephen Fry readings are so much better than Jims. Firstly, Jim has little contact with Jo whatsoever and in fact, has only met her twice. His readings have to be done at breakneck speed and in summary, are really very inferior to the non US versions. I think this is very unfair as US listeners should have the chance to listen to, what are, in reality, the "authorised" versions of Fry.
Jo Rowling is in the studio for long stretches of Stephen Frys performances. He has a specially prepared script with colour coded dialogue passages to differentiate from the narrative. He and Jo admire each other very much, and as Jo said on the BBC, Stephens readings often move her to tears. His acting ability is sublime and his Voldermort is simply a tour-de force.
In summary, to US listeners/ readers, if you get a chance to listen to the Fry/Rowling versions -do so.

I love the photos, theyre so cute! I must shamefully admit Ive never listened to Mr. Frys narratives of HP, but Im a HUGE fan of him in general. I love his comedy work in A Bit Of Fry And Laurie, Blackadder and Jeeves And Wooster. Hes an incredibly intelligent and eloquent man, and a really beautiful person. Stephen Fry really is a British national treasure.
