Wait, youre saying MCGONAGALL is casting the Dark Mark?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:17:06
I dont think McGonagall is getting ready to cast a Dark Mark...lol. She might be getting ready to summon someone with her Patronus, or something.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:17:56
I love new pictures! They make me even more excited for the movie!
|

I like the new pictures, but I dont think that McGonnagall is casting the Dark Mark.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:22:52
isnt that where McGonagall was making that random lightning bolt?? would she REALLY cast the dark mark?! like SERIOUSLY.
and what are Harry and Ginny standing in? it looks like a really gross lake. now whats that doing at the Burrow?
but i love leaked photos

What the bloody h3ll is happening at the Burrow!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:32:24
Okay, Im pretty sure it is absoluetly not the dark mark.
Shes probably trying to get rid of the dark mark.
I dont know who posted this news, but saying she was casting the dark mark seems dumb to me.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:32:40
ummm why would McGonagall be casting the Dark Mark? Am I missing something?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:33:43
HEY, I gave a tip over 2 hours ago about these pics...Whatever...I saw them first...
I dont think the Lightining is actually a visual effect there. It was probably made using Adobre After Effects, it doesnt look that good(it was a very short shot in the trailer). Shes probably casting a Patronus... that area of Hogwarts is the same set they built on Leavesden Studios. Search on You Tube "Half Blood Prince Leavesden Studios", and you see an aereal video of the movie sets in Leavesden.
The Burrow Scene, I dont like it. The landscape doesnt resemble the Burrow in Goblet of Fire and Chamber of Secrets...youll see what i mean...The scene looks fairly good...the action must be better.
WHO was the moron who came with the idea that McGonagall would produce the Dark Mark???? SERIOUSLY. . . The Patronus theory makes more sense.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:34:57
I do love the pictures and the movie does look awesome even though we have to wait so freaking long for it. But I believe that McGonagall is not casting the dark mark and kimmy16, i believe that to make making the first HP7 movie easier to make theyre cutting out the entire thing will Bill and Fleur and the wedding and just putting the attack of the burrow after the wedding in the beginning book 7 at the end of movie 6. Lame I know.....so stupid

McGonagall casting the Dark Mark? What the hell, Andrew?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:49:03
Love the pictures. But, Mugglenet? Why in the name of Merlins pants would McGonagall be casting the Dark Mark?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:53:47
Why is Ginny wearing a nightshirt?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:55:42
umm Andrew are you having a mental breakdown? McGonagall would NEVER cast a dark mark haha...sorry if you made an error, but seriously that makes no sense.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 19:56:08
I will not watch this screwed up movie since it deviates so much from the book!!!! Screw WB!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 20:15:38
MUGGLE CLOTHING, MUCH? UGHH.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 20:17:43
Why in Merlins beard would Minerva summon the Drak Mark??? She was probably getting RID of it! I agree with tbc07.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 20:44:04
Andrew, I know youve seen parts of/the whole (?) films, so explain why that might be the Dark Mark?
Youve either blurted out a spolier, or a mistake, own up to which one Mister!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 21:12:22
Yea, I dont quite get it. WOULD McGonagall cast the dark mark? Seriously? IDT that she would have it in her! But seriously, who died if McGonagall would be casting the Dark Mark???? Im soooo lost, its settled, I DEFFINATELY have to re-read the book before the movie comes out and Im going to start, tonight!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 21:27:25
Kamataklan are you serious? Have you not read all the reviews that say this movie keeps more to the book than any others?

eh. i dun get it guys. :P
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 21:38:51
they should be wearing cloaks. like really its bugged me so much when i see them at hogwarts wearing striped sweaters and crap.

OMG marisa4231 ! THIS IS NEAR MIDNIGHT! WHEN THEYRE SUPPOSED TO BE GOING TO BED! OH YEAH, I THINK HOGWARTSIANS GO TO BED WITH THEIR CLOAKS, TAKE A SHOWER WITH THEIR CLOAKS, AND GO HOME WITH THEIR CLOAKS! LOL... WHATS UP WITH YOU AND CLOAKS???
Anyway, mugglenet, that was kinda stupid of you... McGonnagall is casting the Dark Mark, and everyone is watching like "Oh cool, lets see it again..." LMAO!

I like this two photo are really good ones, because it shows the two couples inter act in something differnet than school. I love it.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-30 23:23:28
Ummm, I know that the movie hasnt come out yet, but couldnt this be a scene after Professor Dumbledore has been murdered. Everybody looks pretty sad. Could this be some other in between death and funeral scene?
Just a thought.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 00:13:46
@ Luke- it was Eric who attended the film screening.
And the Dark Mark? Honestly?
Harry seems very protective of Ginny... hmm.
Im guessing the second photo is after Dumbledores death, as someone mentioned above; like we saw McGonagalls hand casting the horrible lightning effect. Though the lighting seemed darker in the trailer.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 00:56:10
I love finally seeing a Harry/Ginny picture (but standing in that muck would not be fun.) Also the trailer shows Hagrid doing something with his wand that makes the lightning, not McGonagall. (who neither one would be doing a darkmark)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 01:42:15
In the name of all that is amazing why in the world would McGonagall be casting the dark mark!?!?!?!?!? I think she is signaling the death of Dumbledore.....maybe some Hogwarts tradition/ritual to signal the heralding of a new headmaster in the event of the death of the previous? Idk but seriously.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 01:48:53
Why in the world would McGonagall cast the Dark Mark? I think it was probably cast by some Death Eater and McGonagall is simply doing a counter-spell.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 02:04:38
I wish they would take advantage of this being a story about teenage WIZARDS and dress them in ROBES rather than muggle clothing, at least half the time. :P I dont know, I just happen to like wizarding robes better than the same clothes over and over... *pink hoodie AGAIN cough cough *
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 03:15:24
I totally agree with everyone who is mad that they are not in thier cloaks. WTF!! WE WANT WIZARD ROBES!!! I would never go to hogwarts and just wear my plain old crap. And really come on, Hermione wore that same jumper in the third movie, her parents are Dentists I am pretty sure they can afford to buy her more clothes. The people who make the movies say they want to stay true to the book but they cant even keep the characters in uniform JEEZ. i REALLY THINK IT IS ABOUT TIME A FAN MADE SOME OF THE OVERIDING DECISIONS IN THESE MOVIES.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 03:26:55
thats not the same hoodie Hermione wore in PoA... although i must say, i dont imagine Hermione would wear so many pink things.

|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 05:31:17
whaaaat? McGonegall and the Dark Mark?..Sorry but that would be like Ron killing Hermione. Shocking and never-gonna-happen. Perhaps shes conjuring a shield charm or something else? Or a magic thingy for Dumbledore since theres not gonna be a funural? Yeah, the latter I think is most likely. Guess well just have to wait a whole freakin year to find out.
|

Lol...Andrew major typo....lol...McGonagall casting the dark mark.....XD
|

and seriously...mcgonell casting the dark mark?.....shed rather kill herself!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 06:57:09
Why do the writers of the film insist on making scenes up when they dont even occur at all/ or in the right bloody book?! It annoys me when they dont stick to the book...how can JKR agree with them? The Burrow attack does not happen in HBP book, McGonagall doesnt cast the dark mark (if that is what its showing in the pic) in the HBP book. Why doesnt the writers just go along with the book, its just ridiculous!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 07:04:29
Its like saying McGonagall is a death eater if thats the case, LOLLL...
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 07:30:09
I think its the end of the movie. Remember what they said? At the end, instead of a funeral, they all raise their wands??
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 07:41:39
PFFT! Dont make me laugh!
fudge dark mark my arse!
These pictures are pretty cool tho! : )
I cant wait
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 08:32:11
The one with Harry and Ginny looks like theyre on a set filming. Doesnt look very realistic.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 08:53:56
Remember, a Death Eater cast the Dark Mark to lure Dumbledore back to Hogwarts. Thats why he and Harry were rushing back. Professor McGonagall didnt cast the Dark Mark. And Harry and Ginny look like they are standing in a swamp. I didnt know there was a swamp near the Burrow. This isnt fair, posting these pictures and we have to guess where they occured in the book. Movie!, movie, movie, movie! Sorry got carried away again.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 09:02:40
Well why would the Death Eaters want to draw attention to the fact that a battle was going on at Hogwarts? They wouldnt conjure up the Dark Mark, otherwise Dumbledore would rush back. So it makes sense that McGonagall would do it to get Dumbledore to come back. But then again, McGonagall probably wouldnt even know how to do it. And also, apparently the battle isnt really in the movie (I think??) so thats not a very good theory, I guess. I assume Andrew was joking.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 09:10:57
oh my god! come on people.
For a start, Proffessor McGonagall would NOT cast the dark mark, as it is only death eaters that can do that. So unless she has suddenly turned into a death eater, im fairy sure thats not what shes doing.
Second, from what I can see, I am guessing that Dumbledore has possibly just died, from falling off the tower. Thats why its at night, and they are all outside. They would be gathering around . That would also explain why everyone is up because there was a big fight type thing.
Lastly, the pic with Ginny and Harry, thats the Burrow scene. They seem to have added that into the film, I dont know why
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 09:42:01
Whoa, that site has a load of pictures Ive never seen before and they all looks bloody fantastic. Hopefully the film will live up to what pictures and clips weve seen so far and wont care about the wait.
Is it just me, or did none of the fansites ever post about that picture of Snape and McGonagall holding the opal necklace? There were a few other cool ones I hadnt seen before too: Lavender standing behind an awkward Ron; Dumbledore with Slughorn in his lavender dressing gown; and Harry in dress robes for the Slug Club party. All looking amazing.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 10:12:33
Im glad to see that everyone else caught this too! McGonagall could NOT have cast the dark mark. We learned in book 4 that only death eaters new how to cast it! Maybe she is casting a defensive charm or some kind of patronus... well have to wait and see!!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 13:09:07
to sirius -black. have you read the book? seriously. the death eaters were the ones to conjure the dark mark so dumbledore would rush back to hogwarts. IT WAS A TRAP. i advice you to read the book again, particularly the part where dumbledore and malfoy are talking.
and why on earth would Mcgonagall conjure the dark mark? i mean, hello? Does she even know how to do it? lol
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 13:46:47
Ummm, Death Eaters cast Dark Marks. No one else.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 14:07:42
McGonagall will be leading the wizarding form of the "candlelight vigil" we have been told of after dumbledore dies... where they all raise their wands in salute to their "fallen leader"... Its detailed in the scene by sence bit of the CoS forum under the Movie 6 link... It says and I quote "Then following McGonagalls lead, everyone lights there wand (I think they all murmur something in unison but I cant remember what) and slowly raise them as one in the air"
Shame on you for saying she would set the dark mark :(

Why would McGonnagal be casting the Dark Mark? I find it more probable that shes casting a spell at the funeral. It looks like there is an aisle between the two groups of people. And isnt it Harry who cast the lightning in the trailer? maybe i just didnt look closely enough...
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-10-31 23:44:34
Attack on the Burrow? MCGONAGALL casting the effing DARK MARK? what next, Dumbledores really a death eater??? dumb asses. i hate WB. it is official. until now i was all oh whatever its just a movie series but NOW. I HATE WARNER BROTHERS.

And McGonngal is not Conjuring the dark mark... how GULLIBLE can you guys get?!?

She could very well be casting the dark mark. I agree, did yall give a little slip up to give us a little surprise about the movie? To the people who said only death eaters can do it, your wrong. When they went to get slughorn they admitted his flaw in his destroying the house was he forgot the dark mark, so if he could do it, anyone can. Also, we are talking about the movie, not the book, they will do it how they want. Can not be a warning, if there were death eaters still there, they would not be as calm as they are. They look solem to me. SO, I think they are looking down upon Dumbledore and she is casting the dark mark to draw attention to the MOM. Harry is prolly with hagrid putting out his house or something.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-01 16:54:23
im gonna have to agree with a bunch of these people. McGonagall wouldnt cast the dark mark. and Seriously! what the bloody hell are Harry&Ginny standing in? uhm... if this is the scene at the burrow might i just ask why there is an F-ing lake? or swamp type thing?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-01 19:13:34
dizzyshar and anyone else who thinks she is casting a Dark Mark, YOU ARE WRONG....SPOILER ALERT:
In the film, McGonagal leads a type of "wand-light" ceremony and apparently shoots a bolt of lightening into the sky (per the new trailer)...I know this because I have read ALL OF THE REVIEWS of the movie and I know what happens...she DOES NOT cast the Dark Mark, nor would the film makers have her cast it! Bellatrix casts the Dark Mark directly after Snape kills Dumbledore on the Astronomy Tower (again, this is in all the reviews)...so all of us are right, she is not and would not cast the Dark Mark!!
And I agree, I think they changed the Burrow too much just for the sole purpose of making an attack scene.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-01 23:41:24
Its cant be the dark mark ! Its a protective spell... Please change it
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-02 10:53:26
I am absolutely confused by these pictures...I just read HBP, and there is NO attack on the Burrow from what I remember, in the beginning or during X-mas. They have X-mas, then Ginny, Ron and Harry use floo powder back to McGonnagalls office...the attack on the burrow doesnt happen til DH during the wedding. Those scenes must be after Snape kills Dumbledore and they set Hagrids hut on fire...and McGonnagall never set off any Patronus or the Dark Mark, wtf yall?
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-02 15:24:42
Why would old Mc Minny cast the Dark Mark? Only Death Eaters do that when they complete a "job"...
I WANT THE FILM!!!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-03 00:45:12
hi, yeah, im confused as to why harry is defending Ginny here at the burrow.. I read the book like three times and dont remember anything happening at The Burrow...
CONFUSED
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-03 05:41:36
WOW...some of you people are seriously behind on the news....they announced that they added a new scene (one that wasnt in the book) with an attack on the Burrow, apparently to show that no where is safe and it is dangerous for all of them...Jo approved the scene, so Im okay with it, but i dont understand how you do not know about this scene when it has been the buzz of conversation surrounding this whole film and what else they added to it.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-03 20:36:33
Andrew....that is stupid.
Its like you completely forget the plotlines of the story after you read them, assuming you have done so.
COS has posted tidbits from viewers who have seen the special screenings. According to them, McGonagall lights her wand in memory of Dumbledore.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-03 22:22:28
Why would McGonagall cast the Dark Mark?!?!?!?!?!?!?! She isnt a death eater, so she wouldnt do that.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-04 01:21:25
Why oh why do they always add new scenes in? I love the pics, but MCGONAGALL casting the Dark Mark? Please.
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-04 02:11:32
big deal i didnt know.. now i do.. over
now. So what will they do for the 7th book when they go there, the Burrow, for their safe place? This makes absolutely no sense.. i fear they are becoming careless. I didnt know JK can approve things. I thought once the movie rights were handed over she had no say. Like when a school does a play its up to their interpretation.
well looks like i was wrong :)
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-04 13:31:09
I agree. But one thing that I do not like is how so-called greyback bites harry in the movie. He does not get bitten, that was somebody else. Also, where did that ring of fire around the burrow come from. We have been discussing that for quite some time, but there is no definite answer. Stick to the book!
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-04 22:17:06
ok wtf!!!!
i luv leaked fotos but mcgonagal didnt cast the dark mark, and what are harry and ginny defending against at the burrow. ive read the book (repeatadly) and that doesnt happen
|
Posted by: - Posted on: 2008-11-08 20:56:45
OMG! McGonagall ISNT casting the Dark Mark. Shes proably just getting rid of it. I dont want to see the movie in pictures, so Im just ignoring the pics. But SERIOUSLY! McGonagall?! Have you lost your mind?
