The first story of the new year is a fitting one - a look at several big movies coming in 2009 from Entertainment Weekly! Half-Blood Prince was one of the films included. With the piece, they have a new shot of Harry and Ginny going in for a kiss that we once saw in a behind the scenes video.
Imagine making out with your sister. Now imagine something less taboo, and you'll know what it was like for Daniel Radcliffe to mack on Bonnie Wright, who plays Harry Potter's future wife Ginny Weasley in the sixth installment of the magical series. ''Harry's got a real thing for her, and that is slightly odd, because when we met, I was 11 and she was 9, and she was only ever Ron's little sister,'' says Radcliffe, now 19. ''But that all changed, and here we are snogging.''
EW goes on to quote Dan Radcliffe as saying one of the hardest scenes to film was Dumbledore's funeral. But, seeing as that scene was cut from the movie, we figure Dan's referring to WB's alternate scene that pays tribute to the wise old man.

WB OUTSMARTS ITSELF. No funeral? I swear HBP is sounding more of a mess with every update. WB has cursed the film and they didnt need an opal necklace to do it. However, HP fans can take some comfort from the mess WB is now in with The Watchmen. I forsee massive losses and lost jobs at the top level. About time.

Movie looks really good and I cant wait ! Im REALLY REALLY TIRED OF WAITING for this Harry Potter movies and stuff and yea I love Harry and it was the first series to get me reading but WOW TWILIGHT has a special place in my heart :) STILL A HARRY FAN THOUGH BUT ...

i was thinking that this movie might actually stay somewhat true to the book. looks like i was wrong! not that im surprised or anything. hmmm....lets delay the hbp movie 8 FREAKING MONTHS and get everyone incredibly pissed, then totally IMPROVE the movie by not putting in a FIVE-MINUTE FUNERAL SCENE....cuz a funeral that takes three pages to describe would add a whole extra hour to the movie....way to go, WB. yall head honchos up there are officially my HEROES.

Three things: One, darn! Dumbledores funeral would have been THE best scene ever in all the films put together. I had to stop myself from slamming my fist on the darn table. Two, I was upset but then I had to lol when I read looneylaurens comment. Three, I always knew we have a bunch of really weird people at WB. Bent on giving us the wrong things, no? Bad casting choices...read: Michael Gambon. Cutting of perfectly good scenes and who knows what else. Im about this close to giving up on the HP films. Seriously.

Im guessing that the funeral would have been too much of a hassle to shoot. If they wanted to do it according to whats in the book, it would have required getting too many actors to come back just for a brief shoot. For example, Umbridge actually has the audacity to show up at the funeral, so they would have had to get Imelda Staunton to return. I didnt read the article. Do they really quote Dan Radcliffe as saying that the funeral was filmed? I mean, the real funeral as it was in the book? There are certain things that I have found slightly annoying about the HBP film reports. Didnt David Thewlis give an interview in which he states that there is no explanation given about Remus and Tonks getting together...they just show up together in a scene? One of the things that would have been nice about the funeral is seeing the two of them sitting there holding hands.

This scene is very SWEET! WB said that when Ginny kisses Harry, she kisses him on the LEFT SIDE... which symbolizes that their love is forbidden, a "forbidden love" type of thing in HBP, and its also a tragic kiss because Ginny only got to spend a little time with Harry before they had to break up.

That left side kissing thing sounds like the white, red and black thing they were talking about on Mugglecast (YOU GUYS FLAPPIN ROCK!) before the final book came out. Its all symbolic. Its like JKRs theory of relativity.
