MuggleCaster Matt and I were pleasantly surprised while waiting to see Coraline this evening when, before the trailers started, we saw a 'Regal Firstlook Play' sneak peek of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.
Some of the footage has already been seen in the trailers, but there were several new and/or extended clips including: Bellatrix on top of a table in the Great Hall throwing a spell (extended), Hermione throwing birds at Ron, Hermione's jealousy of Ron and Lavender ("Excuse me, I have to go vomit"), Dumbledore levitating items in the Dursley house, a couple of new lines from Dumbledore, new shots of the Inferi, and the "She Thinks You're the Chosen One" scene (extended).
Spread in between the new clips were also new, short interviews with Dan Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, and producer David Heyman. If you'd like to see all this for yourself, we recommend checking out a film at a Regal Theater this weekend. Get there a good 20 minutes early to be sure you see the "First Look" video, which starts before the trailers.

5th! Thank God for the Cormac/Hermione/Ron/Laven dar quadrangle, and the Harry/Ginny/Dean triangle being included! They were so hilariously adorable in the series! And Bellatrix in Hogwarts?! YEEEEAAAH! Though they cut the battle, this sounds so perfect and well replaced I cant even complain. Death Eaters in Hogwarts is so invigorating for the story! And I Dumbledore at the Dursleys is new too: relieving, considering there was speculation that they might be cut! I have so much faith in Yates and Heyman, theyll never let us down! :D

Yesterday I was ushering and I heard Dumbledores voice down the hall and I screamed and threw my broom on the ground and ran into the theatre to watch the trailer lol. And today I get to sit infront of that same theatre passing out 3D glasses for Coraline xD So I cna hear it all day... xDD And after reading about the scenes, I think I have a bit more faith in this movie... Im so glad they have the Hermione and the birds scene.

So, I went to AMC today, because sometimes Regal and AMC have the same pre-show shindig, but I was disappointed to see that all I would be getting was tree cutters and I cant even remember what else. But, before the movie started they do that summary jig, and they said something like "Thank you for watching AMCs Movie Watchers First Look, where you got a look at something that I cant remember and a sneak peak from Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince" and I was like, EXCUSE ME!? Sounds great, but there arent any Regal Theaters near enough to me to warrant a trip there. Heres hoping it gets put up on youtube. From what I remember I thought the bird scene was cut, and that the Dursleys wouldnt be int he movie at all, so its good to hear about those scenes. Itll be nice to get a good look at the inferi too.

I just came from "Coraline", and saw the "first look" for HP6 at a Cinemark theater. If any of you have Cinemark theaters in your area rather than a Regal, you can see it there too. Im starting to suspect Regal and Cinemark are secretly one in the same, as they use the same "first look" stuff. Anywho, the preview was great! I didnt think to look for the Dursleys until it was too late, but I think that was actually the scene from Slughorns house... anyway, if any of you are having reservations, "Coraline" is most definitely worth your time, not just for the HP preview, but for "Coraline" herself. WONDERFUL movie!

Couldnt tell if Dumbledore was at the Dursleys or Slughorns. Would be nice to get a better quality version up at some point, but the combination of this and the trailers weve gotten so far is enough to tide me over for a good while. Im curious to see what if any new footage will be released in any new trailers.

PotterYay, i dont think the Apparition is qutie necessary for the movies... I mean, ONLY Dumbledore and Harry will be Aparating in this movie. So YOU can say that Harry learned it from Dumbledore. The Apparition lessons was quite boring in the book, lol.
